Intrusion: The World Upon Downside!

Why, why; why! Do I have to suffer something so paranormal? So unusual; it’s like earth is fighting back, yet now it is trying to redeem its true title. I feel like the balance between everyone has had a massive drop. The balance in humanity has lost against a stronger force. The final balance between civilizations has been lifted. Most of the natural disasters upon us are causing more destruction than ever before.
I have to sit here, day by day; watching the sun go down; yet to us, it is going up. The whole world is going up in a single spark; flames will erupt with corruption on earth. The world we once knew has become a hell hole; a dimension, a new planet has begun to grow from beneath us. Yet to us; it feels like it’s growing upon us. From above; the ground shakes, roars breaking down our trees. Separating us from each-other, leaving us with what the dinosaurs ended with.

8. Persuading Amy

The room I had walked in; it felt cold, yet most of the carpet was covered in mud. The walls looked a little boggy due to a lot of substances that seem to have been smeared all over the walls. When I looked to my right, I could see Amy. She was sitting there with her cold blooded hands buried into her long brown hair. Her eyes weren't so clear; I could just about see her appearance once again.

“A-Amy, we need to talk; I know you did something dangerous, its life changing...” I whispered; while secretly praying in my mind.

I stood there while an emotional Amy sat on a comfy chair. I felt like I were being ignored; until she raised her head from her cold hands; managing to speak to me, she didn't seem like the Amy I knew. Then again, Amy was always a puzzle to my life; she had been since we met.

“K-Karl, what exactly do you want to talk about, most of the hope is lost anyway...” Amy replied; her voice sounded strange, a little out of tone in some areas of her dialogue.

“Amy, if you can just listen to me; maybe we can find a way to make it work” I replied; building up braveness to kneel down to her level; gently brushing her tears. That moment was peaceful; I felt like I was starting to no longer fear her. Yet Amy is always full of surprises.

Amy looked into my eyes; her blue eyes, blooming out light into my mind. Her Brown hair slowly gaining wind resistance; I could feel a bond connecting very slowly; the connection would take time. We need to try to trust each other more often than before. Keeping away the demons; putting aside our differences. Maybe it would be possible...

“Karl, I'm listening, what is it that you need to tell me Karl?” She asked; as her tears started to glow a little in my hands.

“W-well Amy, the fact you may or may not have ruined you is grand father’s life. Who knows; it may have been an accident; you said so yourself, remember? You couldn't remember whether you did it on purpose. The Amy I once knew, she would never fall down to that level right?”

Our moment didn't last too long; as I got closer to Amy, she backed away leaning on the television remote; that had turned on the television. The static was pretty annoying at first; father needed to get that television looked at. Until Amy buried herself into my shirt; it seemed we were making amends faster than I expected. The bad news was soon delivered thanks to television...

“Breaking news, a gang leader has finally been seduced thanks to some friendly civilians; they had captured him as he was seen running through a railway tunnel; it was seriously a risky job to do; yet these civilians had shown so much bravery; they may have saved themselves. As for the gang leader; Joey Owen, he has been arrested; the prisons are already jam packed from the recent teenager and children outbreak. We are not sure if this behaviour will continue; so stay tuned for more news”.

The woman speaking as the News reported filled me and Amy will information that Joey had been arrested. I on the other hand was relieved they had finally captured him; who would have thought innocent civilians would step up a level doing a police officer’s job. Amy’s face expression changed as I tried to change the channel.

“Karl, if Joey has been arrested; that means no more promises from him, we made many promises Karl, more than I made to you...” Amy whispered; as I could feel she were freaking out.

“More than we made; I can imagine Amy, our promises became lies; rather than us staying true to each other; we could still fix our relationship though” I replied; with a smile, as she held onto me.

The moment we thought was peaceful was soon interrupted. Another phone call from Amy’s phone, instead of letting her accepts the call; I tried to talk her from answering the call. Instead she ignored me; lifting herself away from my shirt; she had now sat up.

“I can’t, I can’t do that... I know, but- I saw...” Amy mumbled on the phone; I tried to understand who she was talking to.

Something I may have regretted; I had decided to take my actions further to cut her call off. I snatched the phone from her grasp; pulling it to my left ear; as Amy tried to get it back off me. I had heard the person speaking...

“Can you do that then? The guards will soon be out thanks to Ben; so just get over here now!” A voice screamed on the phone; I recognized the voice, it was Joey...

Amy looked at me with puppy eyes; I could see she were a little afraid. Not afraid enough to answer a risky call that could cost her life. Stopping her from making big mistakes was too difficult; she seemed determined to make it up to that gang leader Joey. Sure she may have owed him; yet if she gets involved, we could be tracked down. Who knows what Joey may do to Amy once she is in the locked up prison with him?

“Sorry Karl, I need to do this; you stay or you come with me, either way. I need to repay my debts; I also need to pay a deep respect to my dear... grandfather” she replied; pushing me away from her.

“O-o-okay Amy, fine we will do it your way. Just don’t say I didn't warn you” I replied; as she finally grabbed my hand, with the phone still receiving our sounds and voices. I felt like Joey may have heard our private conversation...

Getting involved with a seriously dangerous being; I don’t know if I can lower myself that far. Amy still was determined to break Joey out of prison; I doubt she can do it. Until i realised she is going to use her katana to deal with the break in. This had already spiralled out of control; she would be brought in for man slaughter; I can’t allow that. Either way, if I don’t give with her; maybe she will fall in love with Joey more; as for me, I wanted her safe; so I did the right thing.

“Karl, it looks like this blade is going draw some blood after-all, you’re going to need a weapon too; how do you expect to get past security?” Amy asked with a devious eager look in her eyes.

I had no choice as to grab the weapon she had left for me on the ground. The weapon she had left we was nun chucks; I recognised them from our past experience in karate lessons.

“Amy, I am promising you one thing now; I doubt I am going to use a weapon... remember that if anything else goes wrong on our crazy adventure” I made a promise to Amy with a smile.

Since Amy had already gotten way off her head; she decided to go through the window instead of using the door. Before we left; she told me something; I never fully listened, I was too busy trying to gather the information on why am I doing this again?
