Intrusion: The World Upon Downside!

Why, why; why! Do I have to suffer something so paranormal? So unusual; it’s like earth is fighting back, yet now it is trying to redeem its true title. I feel like the balance between everyone has had a massive drop. The balance in humanity has lost against a stronger force. The final balance between civilizations has been lifted. Most of the natural disasters upon us are causing more destruction than ever before.
I have to sit here, day by day; watching the sun go down; yet to us, it is going up. The whole world is going up in a single spark; flames will erupt with corruption on earth. The world we once knew has become a hell hole; a dimension, a new planet has begun to grow from beneath us. Yet to us; it feels like it’s growing upon us. From above; the ground shakes, roars breaking down our trees. Separating us from each-other, leaving us with what the dinosaurs ended with.

11. Everything Needs Shape

“Amy, I know I haven’t been greatly informed; yet, well actually... I haven’t really been honest” I whispered; revealing to Amy with a nervous smile.

“No... Cut the slack, if you’re going to give me your pity – I can get that elsewhere” Amy rudely interrupted; pushing me away from her.

Not much progress was being made; Amy just wouldn’t trust me, not even I could trust her. Although; sometimes we did feel that it was working, I guess only time will tell... The sky is my main priority – I know it sounds harsh, even sounds mean; It’s what I believe in right now; Father would of made those points clear. Before, he had even left me alone... with my old friend, well ex-girlfriend.

Since me and Amy were still stuck together in this mess, it made sense to keep it that way. Even if Amy isn’t prepare to make a trust worthy partner; she may not trust me... yet I felt a little trust worthy in her, she did save me after-all. We both knew that Joey isn’t taken care of; instead we admitted to each other that he wasn’t worth it. Under a small torched tree; we sat calmly, the heat was overwhelming; however, it really shown me a lighter side to Amy’s face.

“Karl, I know I haven’t been too great with you, heck; I could say the same about you” Amy muttered; moving a little closer to me.

“Yes, I can agree with that Amy” I buckled a little closer to her, slowly reducing to her level of sanity.

“I understand that you want to see your father, I’m just as fond about this as you. Joey had finally made this situation personal; it’s between me and him now, I don’t need you... fighting my battles; Okay Karl? Promise me...” Amy asked, slowly mumbling her last lines.

“Well, it that’s how you feel Amy, It would only be right of me to stand down; yet Joey is not going to a walk in the park. I think we have learnt that the hard way” I answered; slowly patting Amy on the back.

The warm heat, it felt so good; for just a moment or two. I could feel a little closer to Amy, I guess the warmth was growing some happiness inside me. It reminded me of the glow mother had on her cheeks; only her glow lasted seconds... before I knew it; she was obliterated in smoke; full of toxic air. I could have rescued her; yet Father was the man of the house, not me...

*** 2 Hours Later ***

Amy left me two hours ago; alone at a dying down blaze. The moment she left me, risking her own life to be a saviour of many. Maybe she may not have meant the world to me; I still felt something towards her. She certainly gave me the message to stay away; to stand down as it’s so-called. I watched the flame die, it finally became a candle flare; sadly the warmth had left my area.

“Breaking News, Scientists have found something very unusual; seems to be something that Earth no longer has; well... will no longer have that is. Stay tuned for more news on this” – my small radio breached out a message.

That sky, it must have something to do with the skies changes lately. So all this time; Scientists could of sent out some kind of awareness. All this time, this planet could have been evacuated; well it could start at-least. Leaving Earth; who would ever think that our home planet would become a planet of the damned. I never expected our own planet to become something so demonic.

I started to walk down the crumbling pathways; through some layer of smoke. Everywhere I looked; I could still see children, adults; even teenagers breaking away our environment. Their voices were pretty much attached to my brain; they could always be heard no matter how much you’ve tried to block it out. The voices always ring in my head; sometimes it feels like a curse.

“Hey, get out of here you little brat!” Elderly man shouting in the background.

Not only were elderly the prey to these hooligans. We also had some echoing screams from across the roads. Not far from me; I could hear young teenage girls calling for their parents. Further and further; trying to reach the nearest bus stop; one that hadn’t fallen to pieces. As I proceeded closer and closer to an okay established bus stop; I could still see children and teenagers mocking us.

Everybody that seemed to walk past them; it was mocking, insults after insults. Even some were being held by their own will; pleading for a second chance. Such a horrible sight to see; what has our world finally come down to? Because to me, it seems that hell has finally arrived on planet Earth. After such shocking displays of twisted people; I got to relax, well briefly relax inside a bus stop.

Still very sleepy, after such a long night; I needed to sleep. Yet, it had become impossible to relax; all around me were still faces staring at me. Screams and shouting felt like it was getting closer; I tried to bury myself into my collar. Yet the cold air still managed to keep me awake; the noisy atmosphere got worst. Before I even knew it; a young girl stumbled into the bus stop I was waiting inside.

Trying to stay very loyal; be as close as any good father should be. I decided to approach the young girl; her hair was a little filthy, along with old pieces of gum attached to her forehead. I allowed her to pass; her face looked very brave, I could already see the pain she was going through. Instead of letting her just wait with me; I decided to try to talk to her, maybe show her I’m no threat.

“Hey... look – I know this is a little strange, heck; even I’m a little freaked out from this madness. Everything is going to be – fine, it’s going to be perfect” I tried to reassure the little girl; gently patting on her cold back.

“M-m-mister” The young girl tried to speak; mumbling a word I hadn’t heard for a while.

Her sympathy was clearly going to be doubted; she is young, fragile. Probably not even ready to fight her own battles; I remember when I was her age, trying to stand up for what is right. Only those days, I wish I could have done more; not only show I’m no coward, to prove I’m a worthy male. More of a man than any of those bullies in my past!

“O-our bus, it’s here, I feel that getting you away from this place. Well it would mean safety for you” I whispered; lowering my hand off her back.

“M-mister, mummy told me... I s-should never s-peak to strangers...” the young girl replied; trying to speak in a very grown up manner.

“Well you’re mother is right, yet when it comes down to your safety; I feel that you need to gather some trust for someone” I replied, assuring her that I mean no harm to her or her family.

Her over-all appearance, well it was quite cute. Even her expressions of showing that she doesn’t want to harm anyone either; it reassured me instantly. Over-all, I am not going to leave her here with people who would take her for granted. A problem soon occurred, as she asked me a question I was not expecting to hear.

“M-mister, what about my mummy” the young girl asked frantically waiting on her damp seat.

I looked at her, trying to think of a way of breaking the bad news lightly. Too much pressure on her hands; who knows what it could result in. She held my hand as the bus finally arrived; I felt a little overwhelmed with a young girl holding my hand; reminded me of Amy a little. More importantly; I never thought I would ever want a child of my own.

We held hands tightly; her hand was more of a weaker grasp. Yet me however, I was holding her with my dear life. The bus driver asked us; “where to?” I replied with a smile; “away from here”.

The driver nodded; his smile disappeared almost instantly. I guess his having a bad day; then again, who can be happy knowing that Earth maybe in serious danger. The levels of danger seemed to rise every minute; the young girl looked outside the window as found a suitable seat. Sitting next to her; she wanted to sit by the window; so we quickly switched.

The weather was very dull; even slight showers of rain seemed to overcast our bus’s windows. She never seemed too bothered; just drawing on the window using her small finger. I got a little closer to what she had drawn; it looked like a picture of scribbles. I guess it means something to her though; so I tried to make an effort to feel more dad-like to her.

“Drawing on the window huh? We used to do that, it was more of a love interest than fun” I whispered; however, I felt her maybe ignoring me...
