17. In Death

I started dreaming about Trevor and I and how we used to be when we lived at the cabin. I remembered all the fun times we had together and when we first kissed on the couch in the living room. We were watching T.V and I was trying to give him hints that I wanted him to kiss me. He finally got the hint when he saw me blushing and I kissed his cheek. He went to kiss me back and he kiss my lips instead of my cheek. He cupped my face with his hands and we kissed more and more. My heart fluttered and I never wanted that moment to end. I pull away and stared at him for a moment. His eyes shining and the surprised look on his face. He drew me back in and we kissed over and over. Somehow managing to melt my heart time and time again. When we stopped he was blushing and he hugged me and held me close to him. I'll never forget that moment. I felt the ground faintly shaking below me and I realized it wasn't in my dream. I woke up, still in the bubble Gabriel had put me in. I tried looking around and I saw that the wind had picked up so much that the trees were almost bending in half. The shaking was caused by a huge tree falling not to far away and the ground shook. I knew Trevor was coming and he was angry. I'd never seen him show this much power. Gabriel had noticed it too and was standing out of the cave opening in all of his gear waiting. The wind died down too fast and something was wrong because it was way too quiet. The silence was suspense that was killing me. In a split second Trevor was on Gabriel pushing him to the wall with a dagger to his throat.

"Where is she Gabriel." Trevor asked his eyes flaring and energy was bursting from his wings.

"Who are you talking about?" Gabriel said with a smug look on his face. Trevor punched him square in the jaw and threw him to the ground.

"Don't play games with me Gabriel I know shes here I can sense her. And it would be best not to lie to me." Trevor said as he looked over to see my body laying on the ground. Concern washed over his face as he rushed towards me.

"Oh god what did he do to you Hailee?" He said trying to hold me in his arms. "I 'll get you out and get you help I promise. I'm so sorry I couldn't of gotten here in time." He said as me pounded the ground with his fist. Gabriel was getting up and approaching Trevor silently. I wanted to yell and tell him to watch out but all my body could produce was a sharp cry. Gabriel, hands fully ablaze, grabbed Trevor's back. Trevor let out a cry in pain and fell to the floor.

"How dare you bond with her." Gabriel said seething with rage. A bruise just blossoming on his face. "You knew I loved her!" He tried bringing his fist down on Trevor but Trevor rolled out of the way. Trevor clapped his hands together and blasted Gabriel out of the cave. He went to run after him but hesitated for a moment. Looking back at me and wanting to help. He turned away and ran towards Gabriel. I wanted to help him. To just be able to reach out and do something. I was useless and I hated it. Trevor pulled his daggers out and swung at Gabriel getting the side of his stomach. Gabriel growled and blasted Trevor away with a huge ball of fire. They both flew up into the air and Trevor spread his hands out wide and he created hundreds of him self around Gabriel. Gabriel shot fire in all directions around him turning the clones into gusts of wind.

"Enough!" Gabriel shout hitting his hands together and the ground shook. Splitting in half fire shot up from the ground at all of the clones and eventually finding their target. It wrapped around his body burning him and dragging him down to what you could call the pits of hell. Trevor growled and let out what sounded like a roar of anger and dissipated into a cloud of smoke. "No!" Gabriel shouted as he landed on the ground looking for him. A whisper filled the air.

"Stop trying to fight me Gabriel. I don't want to kill one of my closest friends."

Gabriel laughed in a sinister and twisted way that sent chills down my spine.

"You were never my friend." The laughing got louder. "And when I kill you I'll make sure to do it slow and painful. And best of all I will make Hailee watch her beloved mate get killed in front of her and she will regret ever choosing you." He said which triggered Trevor ta reappear and make a clawing move with his hands. He looked tried afterwards and Gabriel fell clutching his chest. I didn't understand until I saw claw marks of blood staining Gabriel's clothes. He choked and fell and lifted his hands in a final attempt to save himself. Hell hounds and demons rose from the ground and growled and snapped their jaws at Trevor. They rushed him and he pulled out his sword and fought them. He was doing well until they started overwhelming him. they clawed and scratched at him and he fell. In a second he blasted them off of him and they fell turning to dust. He finished the rest of them off and staggered over to Gabriel who was trying to heal himself and was kicking himself away from Trevor. Trevor grabbed him and held him up to look at him.

"You can't kill me. If you do Hailee will never forgive you and plus what ever happened to being friends?" Gabriel said trying to get away from Trevor.

"She will manage. I tried to be your friend but you decided that revenge would be better. Believe me I don't want to kill you but you've left me no choice." He pulled his sword out and with a swift move stabbed Gabriel through the chest. "I'm sorry." Trevor dropped him and his eyelids were getting heavy. "No I need to-" was the last thing he said as he fell on his knees and past out unconscious. I screamed in the purple prison I was in. Let me out. I needed to help Trevor and I needed to get help. I trashed but the aura held me there like I was in a cell. It will go away when Gabriel passes on I  thought. But what if its too late?
