The day Emily got born her dad died in a car accident. Her mom died shortly after giving birth and the poor girl was left alone on this world. Luckily there was an adoption centre that took her until she was seven. As she turned three her powers started to show, her eyes turned bright green and every year they would change color. Every year her powers would change with her eyes.
As she got seven she got transferred to the Sight-School. It’s a school for people with powers and like everyone she got there by train. Unlucky as that day was, the train got an accident and everyone died. Except for her...
Now she lives in the woods, going to the little town close by for clothes and food once a month, she works, begs and does everything to stay alive. But she won’t live in the town, she will stay in the woods until she sees who killed all those children and almost, her.

20. Chapter 17. The First War.

(sorry guys, wifi didn’t want to work with me! THE INTERNET WAS BEIN LAZY! That’s why it’s a day late! Sowwy!..)

“Hey boys! Haii!” hehe.. okay but: sorry for the last chapter but I wasn’t feeling like it and stuff and .. sigh... So I have this new movella.. called “Running Free” it’s about shape shifting.. yeah.. no werewolves. No. Shape shifters. Oh and my short story One Week has not been read much! :( are you guys trying to make me sad? :( But oh well, here’s the first official good/evil war)

As I arrived at the middle of the school, the classroom we use for music lessons, and I sat down next to one of the keyboards. As the guys and Noa ran in I smiled quickly before dragging them to the middle of the room and I put them down in a circle. ‘Hold your damn hands okay! And when I text you, start focusing on protecting the school!’ I ordered and they just nodded, staring into my red eyes.

I ran out again and I saw a huge thunderstorm above the school. Oh gosh. Thunder almost hit me, if it wasn’t for my own powers. I quickly made it go next to me and I shielded myself with a small, thin but strong tornado as I just walked through the fights. I asked mother nature to push everyone away from the school, out the school, just.. away. So everyone was picked up and dropped on the field between the schools and I quickly texted Liam that they should concentrate right now.

I saw some flickering around the school and as I noticed the field was back on and because of that I didn’t concentrate on my own small shield made of a tornado and I got hit in my back. Hard. I fell and high-fived the ground with my face.

Pain stung in my spine and I struggled to get up. This made me even more frustrated and pissed so I used my powers to get up, to keep me up. My eyes lit up red and the stranger, that hit me in the back with a sharpened branch, his eyes grew in fear. His face paled and my smile grew bigger and bigger. I felt the power around me, I felt the power inside me. Hell, I Became the power.

The red, dark, mean, horribly good-feeling haze took over and there would be nothing to do to stop it. The boy flew into the air and ended up against someone else. Soon everyone around me was lifted up into the air. I couldn’t tell who were good, who were evil, everyone fought and fighting was wrong so everyone is evil. At least, that was my logic.

‘Emily, what in god’s name are you doing?!’ Zayn yelled. ‘I don’t like fighting.’ I muttered. ‘Neither do we, now put us down!’ ‘No.’ I said, like a five year old who has to give their cookie back to mommy. ‘I don’t want to.’ I muttered as I sat down and crossed my arms. ‘Emily! Let them all go, we’ll get all the good persons inside the shield okay?’  Noa stood next to me and touched my shoulder. ‘Put them down sweetheart, they’re not evil, not all of them and not totally.’ ‘But.. they were fighting..’ I pouted, my red haze slowly disappearing. ‘I know but everyone fights sometimes, okay? Let’s just go inside.’ I nodded and followed her, not missing the looks that shot through the people I slowly put on the ground. ‘Oh and Harry?’ Noa said, turning around and glaring at him with her green eyes straight into his. ‘I didn’t think this low of you.’

Then I remembered the small part that made me this pissed. It was Harry, he hit me in the back. Suddenly, because of the small withdrawal of my powers, the strength in my legs vanished and I almost fell. ‘Calm down love, get on your feet.’ Liam muttered, suddenly appearing on my other side.

We made it into the shield and I eyed everyone up that wanted to enter the school and thereby the shield. Sometimes I’d just shake my head and they wouldn’t let them through. Then Harry walked up and I squinted my eyes. Then closed them. I knew it, he was a pure spirit, not entirely pure, but pure enough to be good. Or, what we consider good.  I nodded and everyone stared at me, even Harry. ‘He’s good, let him through.’ I said emotionless. ‘But Emily! He hit you in the back! With a stick! WITH  A POINT!’ ‘I’m not a vampire so I won’t  die okay? Just let him through!’ I started to shout annoyed. ‘Okay okay..’ The three muttered confused. Harry walked through and stared at me for a while. ‘I came here to..’ ‘I know.’ I said. ‘Say it tomorrow okay?’  He nodded and walked away.

(a/n Fight one. DONE. It was a short fight and I know, but think about it.. there’ll be three in this book...)
