Guilty Pleasures

Alice 'Al' Clarkson is just a regular teenage girl, that is until her mum goes missing. Her dad finds out her mum has secret and leaves Al to fend for herself, that is until a (not so strange) stranger breaks down outside her house, and doesn't have the number for a garage. One knock, on one door and 2 people's lives change, for the better? Perhaps. But what happens when Al becomes best friends with Louis and Harry gets jealous. Will friendships stay friendships, when relationships get serious?

I picked up my hairdryer from my dressing table and walked downstairs, to where the big mirror is. I plugged it in and turned it on, about half of my hair was dry, and then there was a knock at the door. I switched the hairdryer off and skipped to open then door, I felt happy this morning, I don't know why, but I was buzzing. I opened my front door and was met with a mop of curls, green eyes, and and cheesy grin,
"Hello Miss, erm do you know of any garages nearby that I can call, my car has broken down?" he said politely.

4. Cup of Tea

I turned around to walk back inside, as I heard the footsteps behind me getting faster. I stopped and glanced behind me, as Harry nearly fell on top of me. We both started to laugh, as I headed to the kitchen to put the kettle on.

"Go on in there," I pointed to the door immediately left from my kitchen "I'll bring your tea in, how do you like it?" I called out.

"Just with a little milk." He replied. I made two cups of tea, one with milk and one without.

"I hope you like Yorkshire Tea, because that's all I have." I laughed to myself as I walked into my living room, the cups of tea in hand. I passed Harry his and went to grab my hairdryer.

"Do you mind?" I asked.

"Go ahead, it's your house." He smiled at me politely. I switched the hairdryer on and proceeded to dry my hair, as soon as I was happy that it was dry, I switched it off and and grabbed a brush so that I could style it into a messy pony tail, something that was required for work. As soon as I was happy with my hair, I headed upstairs to get my make-up bag, I ran back down the stairs and towards the mirror once again. I pulled out my foundation, a sponge to apply it, blusher and a brush, then an eyebrow pencil, a pencil eye-liner, eyelash curlers, a primer mascara, and 3 different black mascaras. I applied it all in that order, it took about 15 minutes until I was happy with the way I looked. I turned around and saw Harry looking at me, I had completely forgotten he was there, I flashed him a quick smile, then grabbed my cup of tea, which was now cool enough to drink without burning my tongue, and sat down on the settee next to him. He looked at me, stunned.

"Is something wrong?" I asked worriedly.

"No, no, no, it's just...well...I don't think you need all that make-up, you're really rather beautiful." He said looking straight into my eyes. A smile appeared on my face, as I blushed a deep shade of red, looking down into my cup of tea. Harry chuckled beside me. I looked up,

"What's so funny?" I questioned him.

"Not so much funny, but cute." He answered.

"You're cute when you blush." He explained further. I blushed again, "See what I mean." My face turned an even darker red.

"Stop it!" I moaned, giggling.

"Okay, okay." Harry laughed. "So Al?"

"Yes?" I replied

"What on Earth are you drinking?" He asked.

"Erm black tea?" I said unsure. Harry looked at me, completely bemused by my choice of beverage, "What?" I asked.

"Oh nothing, I've just never seen anyone drink it like that before." He said, still in shock. "Is it not too strong?" He questioned, with one eyebrow raised.

"No, I prefer it strong, plus, I don't like milk." Harry gasped, as though I'd just murdered someone.

"Oh, Louis will like you!" Harry said quickly. I laughed, just then, the doorbell rang, I answered it, and was engulfed in a hug by someone, who I recognised as Tim, the owner of the garage Harry had called.
