Guilty Pleasures

Alice 'Al' Clarkson is just a regular teenage girl, that is until her mum goes missing. Her dad finds out her mum has secret and leaves Al to fend for herself, that is until a (not so strange) stranger breaks down outside her house, and doesn't have the number for a garage. One knock, on one door and 2 people's lives change, for the better? Perhaps. But what happens when Al becomes best friends with Louis and Harry gets jealous. Will friendships stay friendships, when relationships get serious?

I picked up my hairdryer from my dressing table and walked downstairs, to where the big mirror is. I plugged it in and turned it on, about half of my hair was dry, and then there was a knock at the door. I switched the hairdryer off and skipped to open then door, I felt happy this morning, I don't know why, but I was buzzing. I opened my front door and was met with a mop of curls, green eyes, and and cheesy grin,
"Hello Miss, erm do you know of any garages nearby that I can call, my car has broken down?" he said politely.

9. An offer I can't resist

When One Direction had finally decided to leave my workplace, I managed to finish my shift, lock up and leave the pub. As I began walking home, a familiar Range Rover pulled up next to me at the side of the road,

"Hi Harry." I said as the window of the car rolled down, "why are you following me home?" I turned my head to face him.

"I wanted to make sure you got home safely, hop in, I'll give you a lift." I opened the door to his car and stepped up into the vehicle. As soon as I'd fastened my seatbelt in Harry's car, he sped off down the road. We kept driving until I noticed we were approaching my house,

"Just here Harry, pull over please." I asked him with a cheesy grin plastered on my face.

I looked over at him, and let out a giggle at his puzzled expression. He turned to face me,

"When did you get so cheeky?" He asked with a smirk.

"How do you know I wasn't always cheeky? Maybe I've only just let the cat out the bag." I answered with another cheeky smile.

"Hmm, I like it." Harry winked at me.

Shortly after, Harry opened his door, jogged around the front of his car and opened the passenger door, taking my hand gently to assist me in exiting the car.

Quite the gentleman...

I thought to myself.

"Flattery will get you nowhere Al." He winked at me.

Did I say that outloud?

I asked myself.

"Yes you did, and you also said that out loud." Harry chuckled at me as I blushed. I started to walk up the steps that led to my front door, Harry walked beside me with his hand gently placed on my waist; I don't know why but I felt safe.

"What are your plans tonight?" Harry asked me.

"I was thinking pyjamas and a film." I began thinking about which films I fancied watching.

"On your own?"

"Yeah."

"Well, would you rather come to my concert?"

I started screaming inside...at least I hope it was inside.

"HELL YES! OF COURSE!" I wanted to scream, but I managed to keep my cool.

"Hmm, well I suppose that depends on what time it's likely to finish, because, you see, I'm rather tired."

"Erm, well, I guess, it will probably finished about 10 ish, maybe, is that okay?" He stuttered, was he nervous?

"Hmm, that might be a little too late..." I teased him further, I almost succeeded until he started to mumble things like: "oh, I guess that's okay." And "I'll see you round." That's when I lost all self control and burst into laughter. Harry's face dropped and he looked confused, until realisation hit him,

"You! You tricked me!" I continued laughing. "I can't believe that, I was tricked by...by...someone with such an innocent face!" I'd finally managed to contain my laughter.

"Oh Harry, you're so gullible. I'd love to go to your concert. What time does it start?"

"7 o'clock is when the first support act goes on."

I rooted in my bag to find my phone, as I pulled it out it read 5:47pm.

"What time do we need to leave?" I asked politely.

"Well, it takes half an hour to get there, and I have to have 45 minutes to get ready. Oh and I have to be ready at least 5 minutes before the support act goes on so...7 minutes ago..." He said as he worked it out on his fingers.

My face dropped in realisation that he was going to be late.

"Oh...give me ONE minute to get changed out of my work clothes. What should I wear?" Harry looked puzzled at my question. "Casual? Smart? Smart casual?" I clarified. His face didn't show any hint of recognition as to what I was talking about. "Okay, well I guess I'll just go smart casual then." I said to myself as I ran up the stairs to my bedroom.

I quickly ran over to my closet pulling out some black disco pants, a purple and black floral top, and my favourite black leather jacket. I then crossed the room towards my drawers as Harry's head of hair became visible to my eyes in front of them. "What are you doing?" I asked him with a smirk on my face. I must've startled him as he quickly spun round, holding a pair of my red lace underwear. I noticed the drawer still open behind him, I slowly took the underwear out of his hands and placed them in the drawer. As I leaned round him to close the drawer, I whispered in his ear, "I have a pair similar to those, only they're black lace." When I leaned back so I could see his face, I noticed a tint of red starting to appear on his cheeks, but he quickly tried to cover that up with a smirk as he spoke,

"Now, now. Don't lie Al, there aren't any black knickers in there." I laughed as I whispered in his ear once again,

"Well, they're not in the wash so where do you think they could be?" I asked innocently, as I felt him place his hands on my hips.

"I don't know Al, I just don't know." He told me with a wink, as I realised that he must've understood what I was indicating. I giggled as he started tickling my waist,

"Stop it Harry! Stop!" I squealed as he continued ticking me, "I need to get dressed! We're gonna be late! Please!" I begged for mercy.

"Alright, alright, but only if you do one thing for me?" He questioned

"Hmm, go on, it depends what it is though." I winked.

He pointed to his cheek, with a smug look on his face. I shook my head as I stepped up onto his feet so that I could reach his cheek, and gave it a quick peck.

"Thank you Ally." Harry smiled smugly as he walked out of my room, leaving me to get changed.

Once I was sure he'd gone, I ran around the other side of my bed, putting my clothes on as quickly as possible, as I left my room, I grabbed a pair of pop socks, and my favourite Kurt Geiger sparkly black heels. I ran down the stairs, stopping on the last step so that I could sit and put my socks and shoes on; Harry must've heard me coming down the stairs and emerged from my living room, smiling when he saw me. I smiled back and politely asked him to grab my bag from next to his left foot (which is where it must've landed when I dropped it so that I could get changed), I thanked him and stood up to retrieve it from his hand.

"Don't worry about it, I'll carry it for you babe." He smiled at me.

"Thank you Harry, you ready to go?" I spoke with gratitude.

"I was born ready." He told me as we walked out of my front door. I locked the door and as I turned around Harry enclasped my small hand with his bigger one,

"I don't want you falling down the steps; I mean, look at the size of those heels!" He chuckled. I laughed at him and started walking down the steps that lead to my house. When I reached the bottom, I expected Harry to release my hand, when he didn't, I found myself to be pleasantly surprised, which confused me, and almost certainly made the look on my face, an absolute picture. Harry confirmed this when he asked me what was wrong,

"Nothing, I'm fine, just excited to see you perform..." I covered up quickly. He didn't seem convinced. "Okay! So I'm also a little nervous..."

"Why are you nervous?" He asked, with genuine concern on his face.

"Well, I don't know anyone except you, so I'm gonna be alone." I pouted.

"No you're not, you can meet Louis, Zayn and Liam's girlfriends, and you can meet the support band! Plus, I'll be with you during the two support acts and I'll only be on the stage." He told me, trying to comfort me as we reached his car. Harry unlocked the doors, opening mine for me; once he'd close it he jogged round the bonnet to get in the driver's side.
