Guilty Pleasures

Alice 'Al' Clarkson is just a regular teenage girl, that is until her mum goes missing. Her dad finds out her mum has secret and leaves Al to fend for herself, that is until a (not so strange) stranger breaks down outside her house, and doesn't have the number for a garage. One knock, on one door and 2 people's lives change, for the better? Perhaps. But what happens when Al becomes best friends with Louis and Harry gets jealous. Will friendships stay friendships, when relationships get serious?

I picked up my hairdryer from my dressing table and walked downstairs, to where the big mirror is. I plugged it in and turned it on, about half of my hair was dry, and then there was a knock at the door. I switched the hairdryer off and skipped to open then door, I felt happy this morning, I don't know why, but I was buzzing. I opened my front door and was met with a mop of curls, green eyes, and and cheesy grin,
"Hello Miss, erm do you know of any garages nearby that I can call, my car has broken down?" he said politely.

8. Adults? I don't think so..

10 minutes later, and I heard shouting coming form the boys' table.

"No, I'll pay!" I heard Zayn shout, "We're closest to my hometown, therefore it's my turn!"

"No, we'll split it between the 4 of us, we're closest to your hometown, therefore we should be the ones paying for you!" Liam replied, a little quieter than Zayn, but still loud enough that I can hear them right over by the bar. All of a sudden i feel someone's presence behind me, I turn around to find Harry stood less than a foot away from me, and I jump from the fright he gave me.

"Jesus Harry! You scared the hell out of me!" I scolded him.

"I'm sorry Ally, I didn't mean to," he replied, with a slight smirk on his face, that made me think he was telling a little white lie, "I was just coming over to ask if you would help us work out how to split the bill?" It was just then that I realised the rest of the boys had gone silent, and when I looked over to them, they were staring at me and Harry intently; the minute their eyes met mine, they turned their gaze away and continued to chat amongst one another, I have no doubt in my mind though that they had an ear pricked up, listening to our conversation - just in case something more interesting than their own conversations came up.

"Sure," I give Harry a sickly sweet smile, "I would love to, just give me a second to finish this bill." I turn away from Harry and continue adding up the bill for a table of just two people, Harry stood looking over my shoulder watching me, for some reason he made me feel slightly nervous, and I began to feel conscious of whether my hair looked okay, and whether breath still smelled fresh. "I'll be right over Harry, you can go and sit back down if you want to."

"I'm fine here, I'm sure it can't take that long to work out a bill."

"Maybe for some people, but I happen to be terrible at maths." I told him.

"Forty two pounds and sixty eight pence." Harry shouted out from next to me; where he was now sitting on a bar stool waiting.

"What?" I asked, not knowing whether he was being serious or not.

"Check it if you don't believe me, but I did manage an A* at GCSE." He smirked proudly. It was then that I noticed his black iPhone 5 sat on the bar, calculator app open.

"Cheater! You used a calculator!" I watched as Harry's face dropped and he quickly locked his phone, stuffing it into his pocket.

"No I didn't. Where's your proof Ally?" He winked as he stood up in front of me, he took a step towards me and grabbed my hand, pulling me behind him back to the boys' table.

"Now then lads, what's the problem?" I asked, when we arrived back at the table.

"We can't decide how to split the bill." Louis answered me, pouting. I smiled at him sarcastically,

"Oh I can see your can I help you?" I questioned him.

"Will you divide the bill by 4 please?" Asked liam. Zayn sighed realising he'd lost the battle to pay the bill.

"Well I'll add tips then!" Zayn said.

"Deal." Liam replied.

"I'll just work this out for you." I smiled at Liam. "Harry? Can I please borrow your calculator?" I asked cheekily.

"Course you can..." Harry trailed off realising that I'd just gotten the proof from earlier. Harry dropped his phone in my hand, whilst smirking at me. I giggled back at him whilst typing in the calculation.

"That will be £25 each." I told them.
