7. Tests

"What we do if we couldn't have kids?" I cocked my head to the side, my face leaned up towards Harry's.
"Why are you worried about that?" He looked at me, locking his phone and putting it on the bedside table.
"I'm just paranoid," I mumbled, my eyes trailing back to the book I was reading.
"Don't be." His lips formed a small smile as he tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear, pulling my attention back to him, "And even if that is the case, there are other options, but we don't have to worry about that right now, do we?"
I shook my head, resting it back into his shoulder.
"What are you and El doing tomorrow while we are in the studio?" He began to read over my shoulder while he was talking, trying to figure out what book I was reading as usual.
"Shopping," I lied.
"Buy something nice for Saturday."
"What's on Saturday?" I closed the book and leaned over Harry to place it next to his phone.
"I'm taking you to dinner," he smiled, his hands gripping my waist as I went to move back to my position on the bed. I smiled at his very clear desire to have his way with me.
"I have plenty of nice dresses for dinner," I smiled, moving one of my knees to the other side of his legs, bringing my face to be inches from his.
"It's for after dinner that you can buy something for?" He licked the corner of his lip.
"What will we be doing then?" I bit my lip as he stared at them.
"You'll have to wait to find out," he smiled.
I giggled and moved my hands to the back of his neck, burying them in his hair and pulling his face to mine.
He was rushing to pull the shirt over my head, and the pyjama pants from my waist. It was like he had never wanted to be with me more. It made it different, more exciting. We had always gone slower, made it more passionate with every touch. Harry was in the mode of fiery passion. We rolled and I watched in awe as he almost ripped his pants off.

Niall's POV
I smiled, coming down from the high, my mouth turning when Amy pulled herself out of the sheets on my bed.
"Where are you going?" I couldn't help that my lips pouted, frustrated that she was doing it again.
"Work," she mumbled, pulling her bra back on.
"Really? It's 11pm?"

Amy was moving towards the door to my apartment before I could pull myself out of bed.
"We need to talk." I grabbed her arm, her flinching at my touch.
"About what?"
"I just-"
"Just what Niall?" She was getting frustrated.
"I needed to know where this is gonna go. Are you using me?"
Her eyes widened, and I could tell that I had hurt her feelings.
"Sorry. Never mind. I'll see you in a couple of days."
She stormed out, slamming the door, leaving the quiet building echoing.

When the doorbell rang the next morning, I stumbled to the door, still half asleep and shirtless.
It was a face I did not expect, one I hadn't seen in almost a year.
"Niall," she practically breathed my name, wrapping her arms around my neck, her glasses digging into the side of my face.
I squeezed Gracie back, feeling the warmth in the hug, the utter need for touch. I don't even know how long we stood like that. We couldn't let go.

Jorgie's POV
Harry's warm breathe on the back of my neck made me smile when I woke, our bodies entwined, our feet tangled. I played with his hand that was around me until he woke, smiling the way that I had.
"Can we just stay here all day?" He frowned, his fingers tracing along my skin.
"I wish," I laughed.
Harry pressed his lips to my neck and I rolled to face him.
"I could always be sick," He smirked, his fingers pushing my hair behind my ear.
"No you can't," I laughed, poking him in the chest softly, "You have got to finish this album. I have to go out anyway."
I swallowed deeply remembering what I was doing today, the nerves of the verdict.

I was only an hour later that I was sitting in the waiting room with Eleanor, tapping my leg up and down, my fingers tangled with nerves.
"It's okay Jorgie," El comforted as the doctor called my name.

The results took an hour, so we killed time shopping. It was more Eleanor buying things because I was distracted and Eleanor was in cute baby clothes mode which was upsetting.

When we went back in, the news was a little better than I expected.
"Well," the doctor started, "The good news is that you are still producing eggs so it is still possible for you to have a baby, however, you do have problems with your uterus that may mean you can't carry a baby, and you any not be able to go through natural birth."
Even with the bad news, I could have cheered. There was still a smidgen of hope.

"Why didn't you tell me before?" After the initial shock, Harry reacted worse than I thought. His hands had tightened on the steering wheel, his eyes focused on the road.
"I just... I was worried about bad news and I didn't really want you to deal with it."
"You wanted to deal with it on your own?"
"Well, no. I just didn't want you to worry."
"I'm meant to worry about you. I'm meant to worry about these types of things." He was pointing dramatically at himself.
"I didn't realise you wanted to," my voice went quiet as I spoke.
"Jorgie, don't be so stubborn all the time," his voice changed to a whisper.
"I'm not trying to be," I frowned.
It made Harry laugh, the mood lightening.
