Truly, Madly, Deeply In Love... With You (Niall Horan)

Candace Jayne Sanchez, a 16-year-old Filipino-American directioner. She’s been having the infection ever since her best friend Erin told her about them. The two girls love all of them but there’s something about Niall that Candace really loves. Maybe it’s because they have the same appetite for food. The first few years of her life, she lived in the States. When she was 8, their family moved to Ireland because of her father’s business job. She was 13 when she moved to the Philippines and met Erin. Now that she’s 16, she pursues her dream of being a singer. She then uses this opportunity to meet her favorite boys.

5. Chapter 5

Candace's POV

“Wake up! Come on, wake up!” I said as I woke Erin up. “No need to scream! I’m up.” I was surprised because Erin was more excited to go to the record company than me. I was still eating breakfast when I noticed that Erin was already done taking a bath. “Wow, you’re fast.” “Of course, it’s a special day.” “Yeah, but don’t forget, we’re there for me, not you.” “I’m here to support. We’re gonna be late.” She said while looking at her watch. In fifteen minutes, we were already done with everything. We hailed a taxi and went there in a flash. When the taxi stopped, we noticed that we were standing in front of a really tall building. “Woah, it’s big.” She said while looking up. “And just in time, let’s go in.” We arrived at the reception area. “Uhh, miss. We’re here to see Mr. Garcia.” “Oh yes. He is expecting you. Just go up those stairs and Mr. Garcia’s room is the first door you’ll see.” “Thanks.” We followed the receptionist’s orders. Once we arrived at the door, we knocked and opened the door.  The first thing I saw was a really long table filled with twelve people all dressed in suits and a guy in the middle. “You must be Candace Sanchez.” At first I was scared because I didn’t know anyone but Mr. Garcia, the other people just stared and examined me from afar. “Yes, and this is my friend, Erin.” “We’ve already heard of you even before you sent a cover song to us.” One guy said to me. That actually creeps me out. “Really? Wow.” I replied, looking surprised. “Can you sing for us?” Another person said. “Of course.”

Erin handed me my old, red guitar and lucky Niall pick. As I was singing, I didn’t hear anything but my voice and my guitar. Everyone was practically staring at me, which made me very nervous. I hope this Lucky Niall Pick will give me, well, luck. When I was done, I felt very relieved that the song was over, and I saw everyone clapping and cheering for me. The Lucky Niall Pick did give me luck. “You are amazing.” A lady in a suit told me. “Thank you so much.” “I’ve got news for you.” The guy in the middle said. “What is it?” “I know how much you want o be an artist.” “Yes, of course!”

“Here’s the deal.” All of them became very serious. ”Our company is not the one who wants you.” I was confused. “I don’t get it, then who?” “My friend, Mr. Smith, he also has a record company in the States. Have you heard of Diamond Records?” Diamond Records? That’s like, a really big record company in the States and that Mr. Smith guy wants to sign me there! “Yes. I’ve heard of it. So, that means that I’m gonna…” “Yes, go to the States. Are you in?” States? Go there? I want to go there, even though I lived there a few years ago. “Yes, but I’ll have to tell my mom.”  I immediately called my mom and luckily she answered it. “Mom! I’m here in the record company in front of people and they want me to go the US!” “Wow that was fast. Tell them you can go. I’ll handle everything.” “Thanks mom.” I love my mom. She always supports me in everything. “Ok, I can go.” I confirmed them. “Good, you’re leaving Saturday next week.” Next week is a very short time, I haven’t prepared for this yet. “Oh, can I bring someone with me?” “You can bring only one.” “Thank you.”

“Mom! We’re home!” Oh, and you should know, Erin lives with us even though we’re neighbors. Erin’s parents are always out of town, leaving her all alone at home. Her parents decided that she’d stay with us, but visit her parents when they’re in town. “Honey, I already told your principal that you’ll be leaving next week.” Her voice came from the kitchen. “Did you tell her why?” “I only told the principal.” My mom knows who I am, and my status in life because I tell her everything. “Thanks mom.” I didn’t want to tell anyone why I was leaving because I’m not very popular in school and no one expected me of anything.
