10. Chapter 10

Candace's POV

After all the days of practicing, it’s time for the concert. I couldn’t even get in. There were thousands of fans waiting for the boys for an hour and it’s a dedication and I like that. I saw that there were Directioners that are also Candy fans, I can’t believe that I have fans, from a not-so-popular geek girl in school from an Internet sensation with lots of fans. I saw their signs and I liked them. I wore a hoodie and shades so fans won’t mob me. The crew showed me to my dressing room. Wherever you look, you always see the flashes of the cameras that really blind my eyes, and loud screaming fans that could damage my ear drums in a few seconds. Me and Erin noticed a door with my name on it so it was a sign that that’s my dressing room. I haven’t seen the boys thought. “Where are the boys?” I asked a crew member. “They’re already here. It’s easy to find them, when you see a door that says ‘One Direction’.” “Wow, thank you.”  Yeah, thanks a lot, you really helped me with that. I got myself ready. I had my own crew to fix me up. I hate make-up, mascara makes my eyes tear up. I look like a doll. At least my make-up crew knows what I want, light make-up. When I was done, I must say I look so pretty. My vocal coach approached me. “You’re gonna sing your written song okay?” “Yes.” I wrote and recorded my song and Mr. Smith liked it. “Good luck, sweetheart.” She gave me a pat on the head. “Candace!” Erin hurriedly approached me. “What?” “You still have time right? Let’s go to the boys’ dressing room.” I nodded in reply.

Outside the boys’ room, there were loads of people. We couldn’t squeeze ourselves in. I didn’t notice anyone noticing me. I feel like a well-dressed fan trying to go inside the room, and I am.

The fans who were mobbing outside the door were forced to get out because the concert is about to start and the boys are about to go out of the room so that means the management would also call me for my performance, long story short, I didn’t get to meet the boys. What a shame.

Going to the stage was kind of like a matter between life and death, maybe I’ll trip on the wires covered all over the stairs then it’ll all be around the news so I’ll get humiliated. Luckily, I didn’t trip. When I performed, I couldn’t see anything but the spotlight hitting my eyes, it seems a lot brighter than the cameras flashing a while ago. I was kinda scared because there were so many people but I didn’t see most of them because of the spotlight. At the end of the show, I realized that I did great. I had really good comments from the Directioner and Candy fans. I got to sign a lot of posters and shirts from many Directioner and Candy fans, so it was a fun day, though I didn’t get to meet my five favorite boys.
