10. Chapter 10

*Sophie's POV*

I was laughing out loudly as Fredo told me one of his very good jokes. He's so funny. I don't really know what Justin's doing though. I think he's asleep, but I'm really not sure.

"Hey, Fredo. Wanna do a prank Justin? I mean, he's asleep.." I said and couldn't help but smile.

"I think he wouldn't like that." He said back.

"Come on. It's fun, you go get the cream and I will go and get a plume." I said. He seemed to think about it a bit before answering me.

"Okay. Guess it wouldn't hurt." He said and I smiled even bigger. He went out to the kitchen to get some cream as I went out to the garden to try to find a plume. Where can you find plumes nowadays? I don't know but to my luck I found one. Fredo was already in the room and had put the cream in Justin's hand as I got up to tickle his cheek with my spring. We were just laughing as we saw that Justin let his hand raise to his cheek and he spread the cream out all over his cheek. His eyes shot up, and he looked at me before he cought up with what we were doing. This only led me to fall to the ground, only laughing harder. Fredo was laying on the couch, laughing as much as I did. I looked up to see an angry Justin, but I couldn't stop myself from laughing.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" He yelled at us. We stopped laughing, and I got up to sit next to Fredo on the couch, as Justin sat in another one.

"Come on. Don't be like that! It was fun!" Alfredo said.

"Fun?! Do you want to know what fun is?! Fun is when Sophie comes rambling into your life when all you wanted her to be was in a prison!" I can tell he is really mad.

"Okay. We won't work this out if you don't collaborate with me. I just wanted us to laugh a bit." I said. I tried to get up from the couch but Fredo held me down. "Let me go." I protested.

"No. Now would be a good time for you to talk out about these stuff." He said.

"You mean me talking to a snowman?" I asked, referring to the white dream on his cheek.

"No. Wait here." He said and left me and Justin in the room. He later got in to the room again with a towel for Justin. Justin cleaned his face and gave the towel to Alfredo. After that no one said anything and I felt like going home. I don't want to be here, so I got up from the couch, only to get back by Fredo's force.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

"Now or never." He said as he left the living room. I stared at Justin, and he seemed to be in the same boat as me, not knowing what to say. We stared at each other, before I broke his gaze to look down at my fingers and fiddling them, as he started to play a strange beat on his lap. This remembered me of the first time we met. We were five years old. I had a barbie doll in my hand. Just thinking back at this time, when we were so stupid made me smile. I later on felt like asking him which song he was drumming, and so I did.

"What do you drum?" I said as I looked back up at him.

"Nothing. Just making myself a rhythm. Why are you asking?" He said as looked confused.

"Okay. Just curious." And with that it went back to silent. I looked back at my fingers. But I needed to know something from him.

"Why don't you like me?" I asked him, looking back into his eyes. He stopped to drum and seemed to be thinking.. a lot.

"Well. First of all you need to act so perfect and stuff and I can't handle it. Then you're dry-"

"I'm not dry." I interrupted him.

"You come and interrupt from doing nothing on my free summer time."

"I din't know that." I protested. We were talking normally to each other for once, not yelling or anything.

"What do you mean?" He asked as he knotted his eyebrows together.

"I thought it was just going to be me and my mom, and her friend. Didn't know you were going to be here, in that case I wouldn't have come." I answered. He just stared at me, and then let out a little laugh and shook his head.

"What are you laughing at?" I asked him.

"I just think it's so funny. We never talk like this to each other." He said.

"Yeah." Was all I managed to say.

"Why don't you like me?" He asked.

"You're too stuck up with yourself and you're really boring." I didn't know what to say when he asked me like that. I had tons of reasons to hate him, but at that moment, all my memories were gone.

"Really?" He asked as he raised his eyebrows. Wow, those eyebrows are on fire today.

"Yeah." I said once again. We took our time to be silent as usual when he decided to cut the silence once again.

"But I don't understand. We hate each other but still our mom's tricks us to spend our summertime together. They should know that we don't like each other." He said.

"Well, that's true. They maybe wants us to get along after all." I said.

"They've been trying for years and it's not gonna get any further than us fighting." He said.

"Just look at us now. We don't fight, right?" I asked him.

"We don't have any reason to fight."

"We never have a reason to fight, we just do it anyways." I said, but that wasn't really true.

"Do you think we will ever become friends?" He asked me.

"I don't know." Was my answer. "If you start to think that I have feelings too, than maybe we can try."

"And what exactly do you mean with that?" He asked again.

"I don't think calling someone 'fat' is specially nice, and when that person already is insecure about herself, it's not really funny to hear that." He just looked at me as I answered.

"Oh. No, I see." Was all he said. Guess what happened after that? Silence. "But to make pranks on people that doesn't want it is not specially nice either." He said and once again broke the silence.

"You're talking about yourself? You make pranks on everyone all the time." I said.

"And how exactly do you know that?" He asked me.

"I saw punk'd you know.." I answered.

"Oh really. What did you think about it?"

"It was good. You pranking Taylor was the best." I said with a smile.

"Yeah. She's a sweetheart.." He said. He seemed to think a while before talking again. "I didn't mean to call you fat, it just came out. You are so skinny and beautiful."

"You think I'm beautiful?" I asked.

"Umm.. Well, I, you know I.."

"What?!" I asked with a tone of laughter.

"You're not bad looking." He said as he looked down with a smirk on his face. Silence, again.

"Can we just stop fighting?" I asked him.

"We're not fighting now." He said and looked into my eyes.

"I didn't mean that. Just stop fighting for a while. It makes me exhausted and I don't want it to ruin my summer." I said.

"Well you're lucky then. I've moved out." He said as he raised himself from the couch. It made me think of if he got another side, that could be kind. Potato, potato he's maybe just acting, I've heard he's good at it.

I was bored and done with my homework that I thought I could upload another chapter. Thanks for reading as always, and what do you think about it? Comment :)
