Legend of the Magic Crystals

Legend tells of three crystals: blue(teleportation), yellow(knowledge and power) and red(longlivety). However, it was foretold that only one person would be able to reunite the crystals and when that day comes, there would be peace throughout the land.

In one small town, isolated from the rest of the world is where the story begins. Pandonium sets out on a journey to retrieve the red crystal and use its magic to cure Z of his amnesia.

13. Chapter Twelve - Lacrosse City

Before reaching Lacrosse city, there was a cross way. Here, creatures of all kinds were flooding in from both directions, heading towards the city and some of which were going out of the city.

Lacrosse city is a huge merchant city which bustled with life where creatures who wanted to prosper would gather. However, it was run by an elf kingdom. Calico is the one controlling the kingdom currently and he only thinks highly of elves. The rest, are just ways for his kingdom to earn more gold. There was even a dock for transport creatures like the leviathan and the rocs*. These were rare but even here, there are quite a few of them. The more common ones were the ships and boats.

"All right, let's head to the elf kingdom first." Eternia was feeling excited about it. Anyone could tell from her voice. The city, surrounded by high walls and was guarded by several elves. Before they could enter the city, they were stop by the elves.

"You're a strange group. State your business here." the elf says. He motions for the rest of the elves to get into position. They ready their bows and took aim at them. He seems to caught sight of Eternia and quickly put his hand up. The rest of the bows aim fell to the ground. "What's your name, elf? Wait, are you Eternia?" he asks.

"How do you know my name? Do you know me? Who are you?" Now it was Eternia who was curious.

"I am Calico, your uncle. Your family have been searching for you for a long time. It's great that they've finally found you." he tells her. "We'll talk in the kingdom. It's not safe out here." Calico says as he led them in, through the city.

"Wait. My family?" before she could even finish, he was already walking off. She had to run slightly just to keep up with him. The rest of them following her.

As they walk through the city, everyone whom they meet along the way, avoided them, giving way to the elves. The female of every creature seems to be looking only at Rave. Needless to say that he became popular even before nightfall. They also realise that the elves were much plumper compared to the rest of those in the city. The one leading them especially. Humans seem to be treated as slaves in this city. They had chains on them and were always being watch. Pandonium could feel that he was being eyed by everyone as they walk towards the kingdom. The market where all the trading are conducted is packed with creatures but even then, they could still open up more than enough room for them to walk through.

They finally arrive at the elf kingdom. Here the security of the elven guards was much tighter than the entrance to the city. Once Eternia walk pass the guards however, they move in such that the entrance was now block by them.

"This kingdom is for elves admittance only." the one on the left tells them. He looked older than any of the other guards that they have met so far. All the eleven guards wore light armour with a bow and a sheath of arrows on their back.

"Alfredo, let them through. They are the princess's friends after all." Calico says and they make way without hesitation.

Inside, the kingdom was huge with elves patrolling the corridors. They followed Calico through the main doors of the kingdom where a huge and grand staircase stood in the middle of the room connecting to the second and third floor.

"Now tell me, who am I?" Eternia demands. "Are my parents the ruler of this kingdom? How do you even know that my name is Eternia anyway?"

"I will tell you everything but firstly, where's your family?" Calico asks. He was looking behind them, perhaps, waiting for her family to appear but no one came. "Wasn't it your family who found you?" he ask, perplexed. "How did you find this place?"

"No. We just happen to be passing by and thought we would stop by this kingdom to gather more information about the crystals." Eternia says.

"So you know nothing of this kingdom?" Calico asks. He sounded strange, different from his previous tone. "I just want to find out what you know so we can teach you what you don't know." he quickly injected when he sees Eternia's expression to his sudden change of tone. Eternia shakes her head. "A little privacy, if you may?" Calico asks looking at the rest of them before bringing Eternia into a room at the left side of the hall. This room was filled with shelves and shelves of books from top to bottom and in the middle, reading chairs are placed around a square table with a lamplight on it.

"This is your kingdom. I know you by your pendant your family left you before you were taken from here. It has your name engraved on it. The one which you are wearing now." Calico says as Eternia's fingers fumbled with the pendant around her neck.

"What do you mean I was taken from here? Who took me away from here?" Eternia ask.

"There were four humans. They were the ones who took you away. Why do you think we put them in chains? It is so that this kind of things never happen again." Calico answers. "I would be cautious about that human friend of yours if I were you."

"Thanks for the advice. We'll be taking shelter in this kingdom for a while." Eternia says.

"Stay as long as you like. Is there anything else you might need, princess?" Calico asks.

"Training for all of us." Eternia answers. "That wouldn't be too hard, would it? Including the human?" she asks making it hard for Calico to answer. In the end, Calico had no choice but to accept it. He gave Pandonium a hard stare as they come out of the room before walking away.

rocs*: rocs are huge birds that carry large containers to transport creatures through the air. They are one of the many forms of transportation but they are the only air transportation in this world.
