Legend of the Magic Crystals

Legend tells of three crystals: blue(teleportation), yellow(knowledge and power) and red(longlivety). However, it was foretold that only one person would be able to reunite the crystals and when that day comes, there would be peace throughout the land.

In one small town, isolated from the rest of the world is where the story begins. Pandonium sets out on a journey to retrieve the red crystal and use its magic to cure Z of his amnesia.

33. Chapter Thirty-Two - Bonding

"If you are awake then give me a hand with this." Zymie tells the wolf glancing his way to see him stretching on all fours.

"Where is he?" the wolf ask suddenly on alert as he looks around while panicking.

"You do not have to fear the demon. He's not here. He is on his way back to Pandonium and Eternia." Zymie tells him, clearing the last of their items.

"If you are implying that I am afraid of him, I'm not. In his state, he should not even be on his own. Why didn't you wake me? He could be killed on his own out there." Hati shouts with a low growl.

"This wasn't my decision to make. It was his and since when did you two become so attached to each other?" Zymie questions him back.

"We're not. I'm sorry. This isn't like me." Hati says, lowering his head to the ground, whimpering.

"I see how this is. You have taken a liking to him, haven't you?" Zymie observes.

"That can't be. We're enemies." Hati says.

"Let me ask you this then. If your brother tells you to kill Rave off, would you do it?" Zymie ask, studying his expression.

"Yes." Hati replies without hesitation, before giving it some thought. Zymie studies his confuse face as the wolf pounders at the question. "No." came the reply from the wolf. "Who are you to judge? You are not that much different from me. You chose not to tell the boy the truth about your past. Why is that?"

"That's none of your concern. We have wasted enough time here. If you have rested enough, we can get a move on." Zymie says heading towards the palace.

"Is that how you avoid the questions you don't want to answer? Sure, just walk away from it." Hati says, walking behind him, distancing him.

"Hold it!" one of the two soldiers guarding the gate shouts as both of them approaches. "State your status and purpose."

"I am Zymie, advisor to her empress. We are here to see her." Zymie announce to them. One of the guards studies him from head to toe before giving him a nod.

"Very well. If you would be patient and wait here, I will inform the empress of your arrival." he tells them before heading into the palace.

"When did you become an advisor for the empress?" Hati whispers to him without alerting the other guard.

"I was a lot of things before we met." Zymie replies without averting his gaze from the guard.

"Such as being with the empress right?" Hati says jokingly with a laugh. "You crack me up, you know that?" Hati tells him after he calms down from the laughter and finally looks at Zymie's serious expression. "Wait, you're not serious, are you? You actually had a thing going with the empress?!" Hati exclaims with a shock. "That's going to be awkward."

"Then, don't make it to be." Zymie tells him. "We are here only because we need to negotiate on the terms of the alliance. Not talk about my past. Do not forget that!" Zymie says in a hoarse whisper.

"The empress will see you now. Right this way and no pets are to be allowed within the palace grounds. If you would hand it to me, I will place it somewhere safe for you." the guard tells him.

"I am not a pet." Hati growls softly while baring his fangs at the guard.

"Oh, this is no pet. This is my uh.. familiar." Zymie says. The guard eyes them suspiciously before allowing them to pass through the gates and into the palace as he leads them towards where the empress is.

"Familiar?" Hati questions in a hush whisper.

"What?! I improvised! It is the only way you can come into the palace and besides, I don't see you coming up with anything." Zymie states softly.

"So what kind of mage are you? An offensive, defensive or an elemental one? Oh wait, I know what you are. " the guard says in a solemn voice. "You are one of those warlocks right?" the guard asks.

"What makes you say that?" Zymie questions him back.

"Well, for one, your attire looks very much similar to that of a warlock. Not that there is anything wrong with being a warlock. After all, you warlocks know a bit about everything which is great, unlike those necromancers." the guard tells them as he grumbles about something else.

"You have necromancers in the palace? But I thought the empress wasn't very fond of them." Zymie implies.

"No, no. Where did you get an idea like that? There are no necromancers in the palace." the guard blabbers. "Here we are. The empress is waiting for you inside." the guard tells them before turning around and walking away.

"Hey kid." Zymie shouts over to him causing him to turn around. "You're not half bad. What's your name?"

"Renar, sir. And you?" the guard inquires after him.

"Its Zymie. See you around kid." he tells the guard before dissappearing through the double doors with Hati by his side.
