Forever and Ever

Charlotte Burke is a normal seventeen year old girl. She lives near LA and is used to all the famous people flying in and out. After her father walked out on her and her mother, she was the one to take care of her mom and adopted sister, Annie. She never wanted anything more in life than her family's happiness.
Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall, and Zayn are anything but a normal boys. Being in a boy band was always an important and lucky part of their lives. By now they were used to all the girls: crazy and throwing themselves at them.
One lucky encounter could change everything for them both. Will Char be able to get over her grudge against pop stars? Will the band realize that by falling for Char music won't be the only important thing? Will they even be able to date with one of them being British and the other American?
Love always has it's ways of working, but it usually comes with a price..............

17. One Last Surprise... for now

Char's POV
"Can we please go on two more?" I begged.
"Char, if I go on another roller coaster my stomach is going to be in a knot forever." Harry frowned.
"Pleasee! I let you stop at the arcade!"
"Where I won you an amazing huge stuffed dolphin and a large bubble wand!" He said smugly in his accent which I adored.
"I love your accent." I sighed.
"I love yours." He smiled back.
"One more ride?" I whispered.
"Fine. One more." He caved.
"Yes!" I exclaimed, grabbing his hand, clutching onto my stuffed dolphin, and running to the only roller coaster we had yet to do.

"That. Was. Awesome." I said.
Both mine and Harry's hair was messed up from the speed and we had dry lips, Harry told me he knew a way to fix them, but I told him that I'd stick to Chapstick for now.
"Now are you ready for the second to last place?" Harry asked.
"More than ready."
We hopped onto our bikes but ended up taking a cab to the car and then Harry blind folded me.

Where was I? Harry lifted me up out of the car and I heard another person talking with him. Before I knew it I was right side up again. Whatever I was in felt like a huge wicker basket. Harry was beside me and hugged me close. I practically screamed a second later. I felt myself being lifted into the air.
"Harry Styles you let me take this fucking thing off now or so help me!" I screamed.
"What? You're fine. But if you insist..." He sighed undoing the blindfold. I opened my eyes and saw I was in a huge wicker basket... And I was flying.
"Oh my god. This is amazing." I whispered, looking over the edge.
Harry and I took cheesy pictures like we had done all day, but I clutched to his arm every now and then out of fear.
"It's ok, love. I've got you!" He promised.
"I know." I said. And I did know, but it was just reassuring to actually hear him say it.
"What would you do if the balloon popped?" I asked fifteen minutes later.
"I would grab you and use my super flying abilities to get you somewhere safe." He shrugged.
"Good answer." I nodded seriously, then broke into a round of giggles.
"You're perfect." Harry sighed.
"Ok, Curly. I don't need to be praised every three seconds."
"I beg to differ."
"You're too sweet, too good for me." I sighed.
"Tell me what you mean by that in five minutes, were at our last destination." He said.

Turns out the last spot was a small private beach.
"Wow. This is... Words can't describe this." I struggled to say.
"Why thank you. I try." He chuckled.
He took off his shirt and wadded into the water.
"It's nice in here." He tempted.
"I dunno..." I cringed looking for jellyfish.
"C'mon! It's toasty."
I rolled my eyes and took off my tank top and short, skipping into the water in my bathing suit.
Harry was staring at me jaw down.
"Oh god. Stop." I frowned, wrapping my arms around my waist.
"You. Are. Beautiful." He sighed.
"Ha!" I snorted, putting my hands on my hips.
Harry looked me up and down, his jaw tightened.
"What?" I asked.
"Are those from him?" He asked, pointing to some scars on my arm near my elbow.
"No. Not exactly." I whispered, ashamed.
"How many scars do you have?"
"Um, well I have the huge one you saw... These two small ones, and I think there's one more on my other arm." I confessed.
"What are these from if they're not from Travis?" Harry's eyebrows furrowed in concern.
"Me." I whispered.
He took in a sharp breath and didn't meet my eyes.
"I know you probably think I'm some awful, weak person, but I'm not! Really. I did this to myself once a year after my dad left and another time after Travis texted me for the first time after he stabbed me." I felt my eyes filling with tears. Putting my hands over my eyes, I sobbed from disappointment in myself and anger at the people who have hurt me.
"I'm not thinking any of that. Do you want to know what I'm thinking?" Harry whispered gently, wrapping his arms around me.
"What? That I'm pathetic?" My voice broke as I let out another sob.
"No, I'm thinking that you're one of the strongest people I've ever met. You got away from Travis! He's gone. You have me. No one is going to hurt you anymore, I promise." He said.
"Promise is a strong word."
"I never break my promises."
I hugged him close and let tears run down my face, but instead of angry tears that I had earlier, they were tears of joy.
