28. Chapter28:

When I woke up the day after I had massive headache, but other than that I felt fine. I wasn’t nauseous at all and the headache wasn’t like a migraine. I however did not want to open my eyes. I was very comfortable where I was. And thinking about that, where was I? The last thing from last night that I remembered was dancing with Louis. Or well, I remembered stumbling over to him and then almost falling. After that my memory was blank. I moved my body slightly, still not willing to open my eyes, and I felt a body next to mine. I was sure that it was Louis and when I opened my eyes I found his gorgeous sleeping face on the pillow next to me. I smiled and looked at his peaceful face before looking around the room. We were in his room, so we had made it home last night. I looked at him again and noticed that he didn’t have a shirt on. Panicking a little I looked at my own body and found out that I still had clothes on. Yes I wanted to do it with him, but I also wanted to remember it.

I moved away from him a little to get a better look at his face. I laid there and stared at his face for a long time when I felt my heart start to break once more. I sighed and he moved slowly. He was still asleep but I needed to be more quiet so he could sleep some more. I smiled at him as I pecked his nose and tried lifting his arm that was thrown across my stomach. Instantly his muscles flexed and he pulled me closer to him. I groaned slightly and heard him chuckle. I turned my head to look at him and saw him smiling at me. I couldn’t help but smile back as he kissed my shoulder. He snuggled his head into the crook of my neck.

“Morning love.” He mumbled and I sighed in content.

“Morning.” I whispered and kissed his hair. It was now his turn to sigh and I laughed lightly. “Hangover?” I put an arm around him and he nodded. I hugged him to me tightly.

“You’re not hung over? You drank pretty much last night.” He looked up at me and I could tell he wanted to say something more. I shrugged and looked at the ceiling.

“I just don’t get that hung over. I have a headache but that’s it.” I smiled and began to sit up. I was starting to feel crowded when he kept asking me questions. He sighed as he let me get out of bed. I picked up my clothes and start to walk out the bedroom door.

“Johanna.” He called after me so I stopped and looked back at him. I waited for him to continue and watched him take a deep breath. “You want to hang out today?” I quickly looked down at the floor. I wanted the time we had together to be the best but I felt as if I was being cruel to him. When I looked up at him I saw sadness written all over his face.

“Sure, we can watch movies and stuff.” I shrugged and walked out of his bedroom. I really liked him, hell I might even lo-.. No. If I let myself even think that everything becomes complicated. No, I did not love Louis. I liked him a lot but who wouldn’t? He was a kind person who did almost everything to make everyone happy. I was going to ruin him.

“Jo! Someone’s at the door for you!” Harry yelled from the hallway. I found it strange that I hadn’t heard a knock but I was probably too lost in my own thoughts. I put a pair of pants on and a sweater before walking towards the front door. Before I came into view for the people by the door I plastered a smile on my face. When I saw who stood there I felt the smile become real and I motioned for them to walk inside.

“Hello guys!” My students from earlier were now back and we all sat down around the table. They all looked really happy and I smiled at them. I stood up once more and walked over to the fridge. “You want anything?” I looked at them and they all shook their head.

“We have to leave soon.” I nodded and poured a glass of juice for myself. Harry walked into the kitchen and looked really tired.

“You want me to make breakfast for you too?” I nodded and took a sip.

“Make some for Lou too. He should be up soon.” He nodded and I went to sit by the teenagers around the table. Lindsay, Marcus and Sasha all looked at me with big smiles on their faces.

“We have some great news!” Sasha exploded first and the others laughed at her. I gave her a sweet smile and waited for one of them to tell me what. Marcus was the one who spoke next.

“We talked to the board so they checked up on the school and on the principal.” He smiled and rubbed his hands together. “They fired her and hired a new one! He is supposed to be a thousand times better and…” They drummed the table to make the sound of a drum roll. I laughed at then and Lindsay said the last part.

“YOU GOT YOUR JOB BACK!” They jumped up and hugged me tightly, all at the same time. I laughed lightly and looked over at Harry. He gave me thumbs up and my smile grew. I stood up and hugged the teenagers tight to me.

“Thank you guys so much! You are such sweeties!” I hugged then close until the all complained that I was holding to tight. I laughed and let go. They all started to pile towards the door and when they reached it they looked back at me.

“He’s going to call you about the details. He was supposed to do that today but we begged him to let us tell you.” Marcus smiled and I nodded smiling.

“Have a nice day, Miss!” Sasha yelled and they walked out the door. As soon as I knew they couldn’t hear anything coming from the apartment I screamed and jumped up and down. Harry laughed at me from his spot in the kitchen and Louis walked over to him looking confused. He looked at me and I ran over to him.

“I got my job back!” I slapped his chest and jumped up and down. I pulled him close to me and hugged him as I kept on jumping. I couldn’t stand still. I let go of him and hugged Harry too, feeling too nice not to. They laughed and told me to settle down. We sat down at the table and ate the breakfast Harry cooked us.

*A week later*

Mother and my two smaller brothers had stayed with us this last week. They were staying until the 27 of December. Yesterday the boys went home to their separate families, going to celebrate Christmas. Niall had left three days ago, seeing as he was going to Ireland and he hardly got to see his family. Today was Christmas Eve and that meant we would be celebrating today. In Sweden we celebrate on Christmas Eve and not on Christmas Day. Unfortunately we couldn’t celebrate the way we used to, since we were in a different country. But we tried our best, and it was cozy as usual. We were just finishing dinner when my little brother Eric asked me about the song I was singing for Louis. I sighed and looked at my hands before looking at my mother.

“Did you tell them anything?” I didn’t accuse her. I wanted her to tell them so that I didn’t have to. She shook her head and I nodded. “I really like him so I have too…” I trailed off and looked at the big Christmas tree in the living room. Louis and Harry had helped me decorate it. “Let’s just say I have a plan.” I shrugged as I got up and placed my plate in the kitchen. I saw him shake his head and stare at me.

“So you’re breaking up with him? ” My head snapped up to look at him. He was standing next to me, being taller than me it was really annoying.

“I’m doing what best for him. ” He shrugged and placed his plate in the sink. He leaned against the counter and looked at me as I leaned against the island. Our other brother, Nick, came into the kitchen and placed his plate in the sink too. He stood next to Eric as they stared at me.

“So? Are you gonna show us or what?” Nick must’ve heard what we had talked about before and I sighed. I really didn’t want to sing in front of them because they were going to judge me. I walked over to my computer and turned it on.

“You guys are lucky Niall recorded the music for me.” I said dryly and opened VLC. I opened the track and heard the familiar notes. I took a deep breath and then the words flew out of my mouth. I felt happy, singing was something that made me happy. I kept on singing and felt my eyes tear up a bit when I thought about Louis.

“But I always will remember”
