12. Chapter 12:

Harrys sister and Nialls mom

Harrys sister and Nialls mom didn’t take long before they absolutely attacked me with make up. I was sitting there in complete shock when they had finished that and began to do my hair. The downside of being taken care of, you might ask? Well I couldn’t actually see myself until it was finished and they kept on whispering about some boy I was going to impress. It was starting to annoy me and that mini fight with Louis before didn’t help the situation. I was like a pile of steaming emotions and I hated it. I wanted to be fine with this entire night but I couldn’t celebrate that they were leaving. It’s not that I was only going to miss Louis, I was going to miss them all. They’d helped me when I needed it the most and now I was left to fend for myself. Sometimes it sucked being alone.

“And done!” Harrys sister Gemma practically screamed and made me jump. I looked up at them and they both nodded in acceptance. I sighed with relief and started to stand up.

“Sit down.” Nialls mom spoke and with her being a mom I obliged. I sat there as and obedient little girl and waited for them to do what ever they were going to do.

“Close you eyes.” Gemma spoke and I did as she told me. I felt like a little dog obeying their master. I laughed when I heard them shuffling around in my room. “Okay, and open them!” I opened my eyes to be staring at my own face. They had placed a mirror in front of me so that I could see myself. I gasped at what I was seeing. They had truly succeeded because I looked gorgeous. They had made my eyes dark, highlighting my blue eyes. My hair was a little straightened but still a little flowy. Around my head they braided a little braid that worked as a hair band almost. It looked absolutely amazing and I almost cried.

“Thank you so much.” My voice was barely a whisper as I stood up and hugged the two women. They both gave me a sweet smile and Nialls mom looked at the clock.

“Oh my! We have to leave! Or we are going to be late!” I grabbed the purse Perrie had told me to use and my coat and out the door we went. We ran to Gemmas car and started driving to the club instantly. We had to park a few blocks away because her car could be recognized and we couldn’t have that. And they couldn’t walk there with me because they could get recognized to. I walked first, going to meet up with a bodyguard outside the club so that he could get me inside without the papz seeing. I know that it might seem like I think I am more important than I am, but it was for the safety of the boys I did this.

When I was nearing the club I noticed that there were several papz outside so I diverted my steps and walked to the back of the club. There the bodyguard was waiting for me and let me instantly. I walked into the club and was amazed when I saw all of the decorations. They had really gone all out with this thing and I new the boys would like it. The person who had put this event together was Simon Cowell. We stopped inside the door and I looked around amazed. I hadn’t noticed that the bodyguard was talking to until he cleared his throat. I spun around to look at him and he looked at me annoyed.

“You can go wait by the bar for now. People are going to start coming soon.” He pointed me towards the bar and instantly turned around and left. I nodded to him even though he wasn’t looking at me and sighed as I started to walk towards the bar. I sat down on a barstool and looked around the club once more. I was amazed at how big it was so I didn’t notice someone walking up to me.

“What can I get you?” I jumped as the voice spoke to me and as I spun around I found Simon behind the bar. I gave him a shy smile and blushed like a mad person.

“Oh, I’m fine thank you.” I looked at the counter that separated him and me.

“So you’re saying that you won’t drink anything right now?” When I looked up at him he was giving me a very sceptical look. I sighed slightly and shrugged.

“I’ll take a coke then.” I spoke softly and feeling my heart race. He was Simon Cowell, the person who wasn’t afraid of him was crazy. He laughed and shook his head.

“You need something stronger than that. You’re living two thirds of One Direction, darling.” He gave me a kind smile before grabbing a Bacardi Breezer from the fridge underneath the counter. He took the cap of before handing it to me. I smiled and mouthed a ‘thank you’. He went around the counter to come sit beside me.

“Yeah?” He was looking at me with an expression that looked very wondering. I looked at him as I took a sip of my Breezer.

“The boys told me not to ask you about why you had to come in here unnoticed.” I felt my eyes widen as I understood where he was going with this.

“Look I know that you want to know but I am not ready for them to kno-…”

“I’m not going to tell them.” He looked at me with a very serious gaze. “But I need to know so that I can do everything in my power to keep them, and you, safe.” I looked down at the floor and felt the tears coming. “It’s either that or you move out from their flat when they are away.” I looked up at him quickly and shook my head.

“No please don’t make me do that. I have no where to go, I’ll have to go back.” I put my hand over my mouth to stop my voice from trembling so much. I kept on shaking my head. He placed his hand over mine that was on the counter before speaking.

“If you don’t tell me I can’t help.” I wiped away the single tear that had escaped from my right eye and looked at him with sad eyes. I really didn’t want anyone to know, what if he made me move anyway. I felt so stupid for thinking I could just forget about all of this, but life kept on throwing it in my face.

“Okay.” He looked at me with understanding eyes. I almost laughed out loud because he could never understand the position I was in. “A little over a year ago I met a man…”

I told him every single detail of the events of the past year. He didn’t comment, he only nodded now and then. He listened closely and when I was done he sat there staring at me like he felt sorry for me. I shook my head and felt even more stupid now. I didn’t want him to feel sorry for me, I wanted him to leave me alone.

“I’ll try to make some arrangements so that it is as safe as possible.” He stood up and began to walk away. I started to panic so I grabbed his arm, making him stop and look back at me.

“Please do not tell them.” Right after I had uttered my words I saw Simons gaze lift and I realized there was someone behind me.

“Tell who what?” Harry spoke and I instantly let go of Simons arm. When I turned around both him and Louis were standing there. Louis was looking at the floor but I would tell that once again he looked pissed.

“She got you guys a present but it hasn’t arrived yet.” I snapped my head towards Simon and my mouth hung open. I couldn’t believe he said that, now I had to get them something. But it was still better than the truth.

“Well that’s alright love!” Harry laughed and hugged me. I let out a small laugh and scratched the back of my neck.

“Yeah, sorry guys. I really wanted to get you something but it took a little longer than I had expected.” I smiled sweetly and shrugged.

“You can just give it to them when they get home then!” Simon sounded really optimistic and that made me laugh. I couldn’t believe how good he was at making stuff up.

“I guess that’s how it’s going to happen then.” I shrugged and laughed again. Simon excused himself and walked away, saying he had to speak to the DJ about something. Harry said he saw Gemma outside and wanted to go say hello to her, so he left too. But not before he told me how hot I looked while giving me a very perverted wink. I laughed him off. When he was gone I turned to Louis who was now looking up at me. He still looked a little pissed but his eyes looked slightly adoring, but I could be wrong. We stared at each other for a long time before I started to blush and averted my eyes to the floor. Many more seconds went by before he said anything.

“You look beautiful tonight.” His voice was barely a whisper and I thought it was a miracle that I had heard him. I looked up at him again and gave him a sweet smile.

“Thank you. You don’t look so bad yourself.” I tilted my head to the side as I took him in. He had on his normal attire. Red pants with a striped shirt, but this time with a dress jacket on top. It made him look like a man but his innocent face told me he was only a boy in hiding. I looked at him and couldn’t help but wonder where his beautiful smile had gone, I hadn’t seen it for days now and I really missed it. As if my gaze made him uncomfortable he looked at the ground and scratched his neck.

“What?” He looked up at me through his eyelashes and it made me want to jump him right then and there. But I had told him I needed time, so I had to take time.

“I think you should try to smile more.” I spoke softly but still high enough to speak over the music that had now started playing. He started frowning as he thought about what I had just said to him. After what might have been a minute he spoke up.

“I don’t feel like there have been much to smile about lately.” Before I could respond people were coming over to talk to Louis. I quickly grabbed my Breezer and went to speak to the other boys and maybe find Perrie. I didn’t understand what he meant by what he said. He was going on tour, which was his job and he loved it. But it seemed like ever since I came into the picture he have just gotten sadder and sadder. He seemed happy when he broke it off with Eleanor, but now he was back in his pit of misery.

I was now standing at the side of the room, having a good look at the dance floor and at the door where everyone entered. I was looking around when I saw Niall walk up to me with a big smile on his lips. He hugged me and I said congratulations and so on. We were standing there doing some small talk, well I was talking for the most part because he was tripping over his words to no end. He and the boys had started drinking before this, I knew because Harry had asked me if I wanted to come. I had said no of course, seeing as I couldn’t be seen with them and Louis was being a bitch.

“You look really hot tonight BTW.” He practically screamed in my ear and I just laughed and nodded my head. He wasn’t going to remember if I answered or not in the morning so I didn’t see the point. I looked at him and he looked really excited about something. As I was going to ask him why he looked like that he squeaked. “OMG! It’s time!” I looked at him feeling really confused. I then noticed that the other boys were walking over to us and I looked at them all with a very confused expression. They all were smiling largely, except Louis. He was smiling but it was more of an embarrassed smile. I gave him a sweet smile, thanking which ever god that made him slightly happier, and then turned so I was facing them all.

“What is happening?” She all just stood there smiling at me as if they were waiting for something. “Guys… Could you stop looking at me like that? It’s creeping me out.” Liam was the first one to actually answer me.

“Well we have a surprise for you.” He smiled even bigger after he had spoken and I looked at them even more confused.

“We felt bad for you to be all alone in a city that you don’t know. So…” Harry spoke.

“We decided that we would get you some company!” Zayn spoke and threw his hands up in the air.

“So what? You bought me a puppy? Because I suck at taking care of animals, it will probably die or something.” My voice was drenched with sarcasm and when someone answered me it wasn’t one of the boys.

“Well no, they didn’t buy me and I am no dog.” I spun around and screamed. I jumped up and down as my arm flew around the person in front of me. Right now, in this moment, everything seemed a little less sad. Because I now had the second most important person, in my entire life, here with me. I had my best friend here.
