I'm leaving this journal, like the rebels before, so that future humans can know how to survive. When we started to fight back, I didn’t know if we would survive ourselves. I still don’t know.

We are the rebels, the only humans either alive or not enslaved to our new ‘government’. Last time I checked, the government wasn’t leaving dead bodies on the corners of the streets, and enslaving mankind. They started their rise to power about 3 years ago and started by invading the smaller countries, which lead to World War 3. They won, and took contol of all Easten Europe, half of South America and Australia. We kept on fighting for freedom with the yanks, but eventually the whole globe was controlled by F.A.F (Fight against freedom).

I was born 13 years ago, in a time when F.A.F wasn't terrorising anything. Born Lisa Parez and, 10 years later, another was born. Little Jasper, my baby brother. My mother died 3 months later in a road accident. A lorry barged into the left side of her Jeep. I knew she had died a week before Dad told me how. Soon the halways were decorated with pictures of Mum's baby and childhood photos. Her will was read. My dad got her money and the house, and Jasper got her baby clothes, toys and blankets, as well as £10,000 pounds when he turned 18. I recieved her clothes, some of which I do wear, and her un-dying spirit.

When F.A.F came to power, it took the final toll on Dad, and he shot himself without warning. Unfortunally Jasper, just turned 3, witnissed his final moments. He walked in just as Dad pulled the trigger. I came about an hour later to find Jasper crying over dad's lifeless, blood-covered body.

I tried CPR, but to no avail.

He was gone.

And so was our Hope
