5. 1.4 Moving on to the Next Stage

*Chelsea's POV*

After finding out that he knew my brother, he invited himself for dinner, meaning he stayed the whole day at home. I was beyond pissed so I stayed in my room the whole day.

  *Fast Forward 2 weeks after*

I woke up and did my morning routines. Just as I was about to go to the kitchen to grab some breakfast, I found Javier there, sitting on the counter top, eating sandwiches.

"What are you doing here?!" I asked him.

Now my perfect morning has been ruined.

"Your brother had summoned me here. He left with his fiancee this morning and told me to look after you." He explained to me as he took a bite on his sandwich.

"I can take care of myself, thank you." I told him strictly. "Now please go."

"No can't do, babe." He said.

I sighed in frustration the put my hands on my face. Then I looked at him, my brows furrowed.

"What?" He asked me while smirking.

He's enjoying this too much, and I'm annoyed too much.

I groaned loud enough so he could here me but he only responded with a chuckle.

"Will please just leave me alone?!?" I commanded him, now very very very angry.

"No." He said. "I'm staying until you here me out, talk to me and take my advice. From now on, I am your personal psychologist." He said, opening his arms wide like he was trying to have me hug him.

"Do you expect me to give you a hug?" I asked him with a bit of disbelief in my voice.

"Yes. Usually that's how my consultations starts. It helps my patient trust me." He explained.

"Well, I'm not hugging you." I said with a straight face.

"Fine. Just grab some food and I'll be in the living room."

I was about to say something but he jumped off the counter and headed to the living area.

I had no choice but to do what he instructed me to do.

After making myself some sandwich, I headed to the living area where he was lounging and feeling at home. The ass even had his feet on the coffee table.

"No feet on the coffee table." I said then he looked at me and then took his feet off the coffee table.

"So you're a neat freak." He said then he patted the couch, telling me to sit beside him.

I propped down to the couch and turned the tv on but he quickly took the remote from my hand and turned it off.

"So how long have you known him?" He asked me.

"Since high school." I simply answered.

"What was your first impression about him when you met him for the first time?" He asked again.

"He was a school jock. They said he was a big player so I believed them at first." I stated.

  "Was he really a player?"

"Yes. I've proven that a couple of times." I said.

"What made you change your insights about him?" He asked again as he bit on his sandwich once more.

"When I was seventeen, he started showing interest for me. At first I was skeptical because he was the school's ultimate manwhore. I turned him down a couple of times but he kept on pursuing me. He told me he's willing to change for my sake so I gave him a chance. Little by little he proved himself to me and we became a couple. Then you know the rest." I said.

"He cheated on you." He said in as-matter-of-fact tone. "Now that I know he's a player, I'm not surprised why he did that."

"He changed okay!" I said, frustrated.

"Once a player, always a player. Take it from me." He said and that made me confused. "I'm a player. A big time. So I suggest that if you find yourself starting to fall for me, distance yourself from me."

"That'll never happen, you conceited jerk." I spat at him.

"Just in case. And just to let you know, I've used the 'I'm willing to change for you' act to win some ladies." He said.

"Just what are you trying to imply?" I asked him, a little annoyed.

"That he used that act to win you but I must say, he might have fallen in love with you, in the process. Five years is very long for a player to spend his nights with just one girl." He explained. "I can't even last a month without sex."

"We never had sex. I'm still a virgin." I admitted, not shy nor embarrassed at all. "He asked me many times but I turned him down. I don't regret it though."

"There goes the reason." He said, smiling at me.

  "What do you mean?"

"Sexual Frustration, babe. That's what made him cheat on you." I was still confused. "Look, he can't possibly be celibate for five years okay? It's like not drinking water for so long."

"Are you saying he's been unfaithful with me for so long?" I asked him in disbelief.

"Possibly, little Chelsea baby." He said.

  "Don't flirt with me, please."

"Fine. But as I was saying, that is probably the reason why he cheated, because you refused to give him what he want. One other reason is temptation. Your ex bestfriend was more than willing to give herself into his desires, it's hard to refuse. And from what I've seen, she's pretty hot." He said the last part in a whisper.

"I heard that." I said. "So I'm not pretty enough?" I asked with a desperate voice.

"That's not what I meant. You're a very beautiful lady, Chelsea. So far the best I've ever seen and I'm not kidding." He explained to me.

"But you said she's hot." I said to him, pouting.

"Babe, would you rather be called hot than beautiful?" He said, chuckling.

"See? Us boys, we call girls hot and cute and sexy a lot but we rarely use beautiful o describe a girl. If we do, we mean it. You really are beautiful, Chelsea." He said, looking intently to my eyes. "You deserve someone who is so much better."

"But it still hurts okay? I can't believe he broke up with me just because I didn't give up my virginity to him." I said as I was looking down to my hands, my sandwich uneaten.

"Finally!" He said with joy. I snapped my head to him in surprise and confusion. "We're done with the first stage. Now we should move on to the next."

  "We?" I asked.

"Yes, we. Because in every step of the way, I'd be here to guide you." He said as he took my hand and kissed it.

"I know it's kinda late but, can I hug you now?" I asked.

In response, he just smiled then pulled me into a hugged and I hugged back.

For the first time in two weeks, I felt comfortable and safe.
