Change me.

Bridgette. 15. And trouble.

25. Walking.

I looked at Justin. Tears filled his eyes, mine did too.

Nurse Jessica: they said you could probably try now, but for the next month you probably must be on crutches from the impact.

Bridgette: yay! Can I try?

Nurse Jessica: of course

She walked into a small closet and brought out a pair of crutches. She unwrapped them and looked at a clipboard and adjusted them. I slid over to the edge of my hospital bed. She brought the crutches over to me. They looked very heavy duty cause they were huge, and what seemed to be well equipped. I slid them under my arms. It was a lot more comfortable then my others. I stood up and moved the cruches about 6 inches in front of me. I used my left foot to push off. I was walking. After my first step Justin walked over to the other side of the room.

Justin: come get me.

bridgette: challenge accepted.

I started moving quicker and quicker. Justin's smile got bigger and bigger. I eventually reached Justin after 2 minutes or so. He grabbed my hips softly and threw me up in the air. My crutches fell. He caught me and held me close while my head sunk into his chest. We were interrupted by nurse Jessica.

Nurse Jessica: I'm going to give you two an hour, and ill be back to help walk you up to the front to be dismissed.

She left the room

Justin and I were in complete joy! I could walk. And by this time next week, ill be at home.
