The Spark

Harry simply feels like the spark is gone. That's exactly what he tells Maria, shattering her heart. But when she shows up back into his life later will he be reminded of the reasons he once loved her? Or will her fiancé stand in his way?

12. I guess it was never real

Harry walked out of his room. His was probably the smallest in the gigantic beach house. Niall got the other small one. Since they both were alone. There were six bedrooms in the beach house, just enough for Maria and Will to have came along. As of now, besides Harry it only looked like Eleanor was done unpacking. It was just the two of them in the kitchen. Eleanor was making lemonade. "Hey Harry." He nodded and smiled. "Hello, you look classy as alway." She didn't look at him but just continued to make the drink. "Thanks, and you are annoying as always." She reached over and pulled out a cup for both her and Harry. He laughed knowing she was just teasing him. "Whatever. Your able to put up with Louis not lots of things can be more annoying than him." She smiled and just rolled her eyes while handing him a glass of lemonade. "He is not annoying. He is perfect. I see you decided to invite Will. I'm surprised." Harry took a sip of his drink and shrugged. "Why is everyone so surprised I did that. I am just being friendly." Eleanor pursed her lips and leaned on the kitchen counter starring at Harry. "It's just that usually when a past lover comes into your life again it's  really to be more than friendly. Which is of course what we all expected."  Harry shook his head and sat his newly emptied cup down. "Maria is engaged she would never do such a thing as be in two relationships as once. You all are silly for thinking such things." Eleanor poured him a little more to drink before placing the lemonade into the fridge. " Yes, but if she wasn't engaged would that be the intentions?" Harry bit his lip and looked at Eleanor's oh so curios face. "But she is so it does not matter. Those feelings have passed me."  Eleanor look at Harry unconvinced. "Such feelings don't just pass unless they were never real." Harry raised the cups to his lips and then licked the lemonade off of his lips. "I guess they were never real" Harry said as confidently as he thought was needed. "What was never real?" The both of them jumped frightened at the sound of her voice. She now stood at the bottom of the stairs looking a them both of them. Eleanor laughed it off meaninglessly "Oh nothing." Maria just raised her eyebrows at Harry. "You two are terrible liars, but it's not my business so whatever." Niall then clumsily  walked down the stairs behind Maria. "Well hello sexy. How have you been?" Niall always flirted around with Maria. They both knew it was only a joke. But the look on Wills face as he stood behind Niall once he began to wrap Maria in a hug showed he didn't know. "Ayee Niall, my Irishman." She kissed his cheek and they both laughed. "Hello Niall I'm Will. I don't think we have met." Will stuck his hand out firmly after the flat toned greeting. It sent everyone silent Until Louis walked down the stairs pushing pass them all. "Come on you boring chaps. Let's  get out on the boat already." And no one hesitated to do as he said and thankfully break away from the awkwardness.
