The Spark

Harry simply feels like the spark is gone. That's exactly what he tells Maria, shattering her heart. But when she shows up back into his life later will he be reminded of the reasons he once loved her? Or will her fiancé stand in his way?

35. Gone crazy

Niall's POV

Christmas was three days ago. And may I mention fantastic. Harry even put on a fake smile and had an original Horan Christmas with us. I loved being home. I was always more relaxed. Harry on the other hand had gone out every day. Hours at end. Leaving as I woke up. Home right before I fell asleep. This time though I stayed up later than usual. Waiting to talk to him.
It wasn't till about two in the morning the crack of the front door opened and woke me up. I was tired and almost didn't feel like talking. But I sat up on the couch anyways and reached to turn the lamp light on. I saw instantly Harry was spooked by my surprise presence. "Niall?" I felt like one of those dads who stayed up late to see if there daughters came home on time. Harry defiantly would have been late. "Where have you been?" He shrugged and removed his jacket and scarf. Leaving him in a tacky sweater. " Nowhere important." I frowned as he began to walk up the stairs. I didn't stay up late for that answer. "Why can't you tell me? I'm worried about you Styles. Your my friend ok." He looked at me and stepped back down the stairs. "I was driving."
I looked at him strangely and nodded. "To where?" He laughed and leaned against the stairwell. Looking rather distant. "There's no destination. I just drive until I think I might get lost then turn around. It clears my mind. Driving on the road, seeing the new Irish venue. I feel free and happy." Ok that's it he had totally gone crazy. Harry Styles, major boyband member had lost his marbles. "You drive from 10 A.M to 2 A.M the next morning. That's fourteen hours every day Harry. Your ridiculous." He Looks down at his feet and he turns back to head upstairs. " I stop at every shop Maria would like on the way to nowhere. And when I see something she loves I check how much it costs. Then I donate twice that amount to the stop bullying cause. It shows me how much of a better person I can be without her." Then he quickly hurried up the stairs and left me sitting. Alone to think about how crazy he was, and how I had played a role in causing it .

Now I just needed a role in fixing it.
