Gotta Be You

*COMPLETED*

I glance up at him, and sure enough he has tears trickling down his face. I reach up and wipe them away with my thumb.

“I thought I had lost you. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I had.” He says it slightly louder now. “I was terrified. I shouldn’t have left you. I should have been by you that whole time.” He shakes his head, tears flowing steadily now.

3. Hallelujah

Niall's POV

We walk out and Megan is glancing down at her phone. Probably on Twitter or Instagram.

"Megan?" Harry asks

"Yes Harry?" she looks up with her ocean blue eyes.

"We we're wondering if you-"

"Would like to come to the studio with us?" I rush cutting Harry off. I was so excited.

"Yeah, I'd love to! I just need to shower, and get dressed of course!" she says with a smile. I can't help but smile too. Her smile can light up a room, cheesy, I know.

"Sure love. Here's the bathroom, and here," Harry pauses; he turns on his heal and walks to the linen closet. "Here is your towel." he finishes. She thanks him and closes the door.

Megan's POV

We arrive at the studio, the boys are fired up. They are running around and laughing. Their security guard Paul calms them all down.

"Now, who do we have here?" Paul asks, obviously the question is directed at me so I answer.

"Megan. Megan Fisher." I say while shaking his hand. Wow! Does he have a grip or what?

I take a seat and listen to the boys for half an hour. I get up and try to search out a washroom.

"Umm... Excuse me? Do you happen to know where I can find the bathroom?" I ask someone who works there. She points down a hall.

"Sure thing! Straight down the hall, second door to the right." the say with a smile. I thank her and leave.

When I exit the bathroom. I see a grand piano in a room. I glance around the room. Nobody's there. I step inside the room and walk towards the piano. It's beautiful. Full 88 keys; black grand piano. It must have cost a fortune! I take a breath and lift the case hiding the keys. I pull out the bench and take a seat. I press lightly on the keys at first; warming up. Then I start to let loose.

"Hallelujah"

I've heard there was a secret chord

That David played,

and it pleased the Lord

But you don't really care for music, do you?

It goes like this

The fourth, the fifth

The minor fall, the major lift

The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Your faith was strong

but you needed proof

You saw her bathing on the roof

Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you

She tied you to a kitchen chair

She broke your throne,

and she cut your hair

And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Baby I have been here before

I know this room, I've walked this floor

I used to live alone before I knew you.

I've seen your flag on the marble arch

Love is not a victory march

It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

There was a time when you let me know

What's really going on below

But now you never show it to me, do you?

And remember when I moved in you

The holy dove was moving too

And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Maybe there’s a God above

But all I’ve ever learned from love

Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you

It’s not a cry you can hear at night

It’s not somebody who has seen the light

It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah,

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

When I hit the last note, I feel eyes on me. I whip my head around to see five sets of eyes. My face blushes a deep red and I start to get up quickly.

"Where did you learn to play like that?" Liam asks sounding surprised.

"I played when I was a little girl. Started playing in Grade four."

"And the singing? When did that start? You were amazing!" I blush and face the floor. I can feel them staring at me still. I start to walk towards the door but they stop me.

"I wasn't that great...” I whisper as I push my way through them, and make my way down the hall.

Niall's POV

We sang for about 45 minutes and we were tired. So we took a 5 minute break. I looked around but Megan was no longer on the couch. I asked around.

"Has anyone seen Megan?" Harry eyes me.

"Why Niall? Do you fancy her? Hmm?" I feel my cheeks get hot and I laugh nervously.

"You do?" He asks me again. I can only nod slightly.

"Good for you mate." he says patting me on the back.

"Yeah, well, have you seen her?" I ask getting a tad nervous now.

"No, sorry mate I haven't."

"I'm sorry, but did I hear you say you were looking for a girl?" I look at this woman and nod my head.

"Yes, I am. She's got blonde hair and bright blue eyes; like a drop from the ocean." I say a little too dreamily, because Harry is snickering. I punch his arm lightly. She smiles.

"She asked for the washroom. She's probably looking around. She was last down there" She days while pointing down a hall. I say my thanks and the other lads catch up to Harry and I.

"Where are you off to?" Zayn asks us.

"Niall's trying to find his love." Harry teases. Liam looks slightly confused.

"Megan. I'm looking for Megan."

"You fancy her mate?" Louis asks looking at me with a smile spread across his face. I nod my head lightly and can feel my cheeks go warm again. Great.

Louis' POV

Good for Niall. I'm glad he can find a girl to treat him right. He deserved it; he has been waiting for the longest. He wants to find the perfect girl; his princess as he calls her.

When we approach a door, we hear a piano playing, quite well I might add. Liam quietly swings open the door, not to disturb the player.

The lads stop in the doorway, blocking my view. I push my way through and stop when I see her back to us. I glance at Niall who is smiling like an imbecile; lost in her music. We all stand there, not making a sound while she sings and plays. It's beautiful.
