Mummy, Where's Daddy?

Niall and I were just fine, meeting each other when I was 15 and he was 19. We fell in love, and I was completely smitten with him. But after one drunken night, four years after we met, six months dating, I fell pregnant. Niall walked out when he found out, couldn't cope with the pressure of being a dad at 23. Only 19, I was confused, hurt and upset. When I was at the 8-months mark, I pulled myself together and got on with life. Now Alexander is 3, and he's starting to ask questions. Will his daddy be back?

9. The Phone Call

A/N Well, I've had a look at the comments, and one said something that made me wonder. Who do you all ship? Elorge (Ellie and George) or Nellie (Niall and Ellie)? I was just wondering. I want also to say thank you to all of you. For keeping me motivated to keep writing with your comments. There were some times when I just wanted to give up on this story while I was stuck for ideas. Well, thank you again! Enjoy this chapter. Oh! I forgot something! There's another A/N at the end of this chapter, read on to find out what YOU can do to help me! Enjoooooy!

"Hey El?" George spoke into the phone.

"El speaking," I replied, and I heard him making a grumbling noise.

"Mum! Just... SHUT UP!" George screamed, and I could tell he didn't mean to let me hear.

"George?" I asked.

"Sorry, that was mum. She's trying to stop me from speaking to you." George sighed.

"Don't you have your own phone?" I questioned. Now he was 24, I think, I presumed he has a phone. But his reply made me really shocked.

"No," George replied honestly, "Mum's banned me from having my phone for two weeks, so that's why I'm using my house phone," he added.

"Oh," was all I could say.

"I didn't mean for you to hear that,"

"I figured that out already,"

"Well, sorry,"

"You're 24 right?"

"Can't you move out?"

"Why not?"

"I have nowhere,"

"Yeah, as a singer. Don't you recongise me?"

"No.... You did look familiar although,"

"George Shelley, the cute dimpled one from Union J,"

"Oh yeah! I wondered what happened to Union J?"

"Union J broke up last year because we didn't have time to do the other things we used to enjoy. It became not fun anymore..."

"Oh... Sorry,"

"Don't be, it wasn't your fault"

"Well, I'm just being polite,"

"Fine, sorry,"

"Hey, I have an idea!"

"What is it babe?" he replied, and I blushed lightly at the nickname. Luckily we were on the phone so he couldn't tease me and make me blush more.

"Why don't you move in with me?"

"It's been a week we've been in a relationship,"

"I know, but we trust each other don't we?"

"Yes, but I don't want to move things too quickly. Sorry, but it's a no,"

"But Alex will be upset to know you're not moving in any sooner,"

"Don't make me feel guilty,"

"Sorry, it's just that I feel lonely at home."

"Well...." he started, but he soon stopped. We both were lurched into an awkward silence, and I sighed loudly.

"No, we're not having this awkward silence," George firmly said.

"Are you going to move in? Yes or no?"

"Annoying mother?"

"Yes, and yes,"

"Two yeses?"

"One yes for your annoying mother question, and the other yes to moving in,"

"Wow! When do you want to move in?"

"As soon as possible,"

"I have to go, bye,"

"I love you,"

"I love you too," I replied, and he soon hung up after a faint yelling from his mother. "Alex!" I called, and Alex ran down from his room.

"What mummy?" he asked, out of breath.

"George's going to be living with us soon!" I cheered, and he gasped.

"We are not going to call George by his name anymore. I'm going to call him Dad." he firmly replied, and I nodded.

"That's fine," I answered, smiling softly.

"Yay! When exactly?" he questioned, and I shrugged.

This is going to be interesting.
