Mummy, Where's Daddy?

Niall and I were just fine, meeting each other when I was 15 and he was 19. We fell in love, and I was completely smitten with him. But after one drunken night, four years after we met, six months dating, I fell pregnant. Niall walked out when he found out, couldn't cope with the pressure of being a dad at 23. Only 19, I was confused, hurt and upset. When I was at the 8-months mark, I pulled myself together and got on with life. Now Alexander is 3, and he's starting to ask questions. Will his daddy be back?

6. Meeting George

"Hi, is this George?" I mumbled into my iPhone as Alex ran around the toy store with a friend of his we bumped into earlier. "Yes, is this El?" George answers and I smiled to myself. He sounded like a gentleman. "Yeah. A bird called Reychel told me you have a crush on me," I laugh and I could tell he was blushing. "Well, yes. I do fancy you. You're gorgeous." he admitted, and I smirked to myself. "Why don't you come to Westfield now? Meet up?" I suggest, keeping a watchful eye on Alex and his friend Tom. "Like, as in right now?!" he exclaimed and I laughed. "Yes, if that's okay?" I question, and I could just tell he was nodding. "I'll be right over in ten minutes maximum. Meet me outside McDonalds?" he asks and I agree before saying our farewells and I hung up. He was adorable. Just as adorable as I could ever think he could be. More adorable than Niall I dare say. "Hey Linda? I have to go and meet somebody. Last minute thing. Can you look after Alex for a hour or two?" I practically beg Tom's mum and she nodded. "I'll call you when I'm ready to pick him up," I say, thanking her. "I'm going to go and see George, my new friend. Tom and his mummy will look after you, okay? Bye darling," I mumbled, kneeling down to Alex's eye level and I gave him a quick hug. "Is George your new boyfriend?" Alex whispered back and I shake my head. "No," I replied and walked away quickly, leaving the shop and outside into the cold wind. "McDonalds," I said to myself as I walk to the McDonalds around the corner. Arriving there, I saw a gorgeous guy, leaning on the wall, his toned hands gripping his phone, a snapback cap lightly pushed down on his head, his beautiful chocolate brown hair were falling forwards and cutely messy. "George?" I call, curious. He looked up and grinning a smile that showed off his perfectly white teeth, his amazing cheekbones showing. "Wow," I whispered breathlessly. "Am I too ugly?" George laughed his cute laugh. God, how can a guy be this perfect? "No, not at all. You're flawless," I reply, blushing. He chuckled, "You should look in a mirror if you want to see who's the flawless one here," he answers, smiling sweetly. How could a guy like him like a girl like me?! "Ditto," I laughed shyly, suddenly feeling so small. "Don't be shy, come here," he said, picking up on my shyness and holding his arms out, in a welcoming way. I gladly accepted his embrace and hugs him. "Where's Alex?" he questioned, pulling away. "With his friend Tom." I replied, forcing a weak smile. Was he interested in Alex not me?
