Changed My Life (COMPLETED)

17 year old Emily is a nobody. Her brother lives in America, her mother passed away and her dad abuses her. Her only friend is Cass, who works with her at McDonalds. What happens when the new kid asks to sit next to Emily in class? What happens when they become friends and maybe more? Harry Styles, you changed my life.

4. The jail cell we all call school.

The day continues and nothing eventful happened. I got a few hard slaps on the face from my dad, but that’s normal behavior from him. On the way home from work, I bought new books and stationary for the new school year. It cost me an arm and a leg of my pay, but if I didn’t buy it no one would - not even my dad. I was somewhat excited for the new school year because I am school captain. Incase you haven't worked it out yet, I’m supposed to be in year 11, but my parents put me in school a year early. The only reason I’m school captain is because the teachers get to vote for a candidate too, but their votes are counted as 15 votes. Weird, I know. So all the year 12’s voted for the guy school captain and all the teachers voted for me.

The next day I got to school early so I could make a good impression for the teachers. As I'm waiting outside the maths room for 1st period, I notice that my bullies will be in my class. Oh joy. I really can’t escape them can I? They’ve been in my maths class every year since year 7!

The teacher opens the door and tells us to all sit down. I sit in my usual spot in the back corner, with all the spots in front, across, and next to me available. I feel like there's an invisible force field around me and whoever touches it explodes. Everyone else must feel that too because no one attempts to sit near me. As I sit down, Jessica and Michaela (my bullies) come up to me for no reason other than to piss me off.
"Hey Emily! Did you have a nice summer?" Jessica asks in her bitchy voice.
"Of course you didn't. You have no friends to spend it with! Hahaha!" She laughs, without giving me any time to answer her. Argh. She really pisses me off. I give her a weak smile hoping she goes away, but of course, she didn't.
"You better stay away from my- I mean, the school's special guests tomorrow! They're off limits to… people like you." She says, pointing at me as if I was some sort of mud creature.
"Umm... What guests?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. I had no clue who she was talking about. Just as I ask her, Mr Wilson  (our principle) made an announcement for the school captains to come to his office.
"Well... As much fun as I have talking to you, I must be off." I say sarcastically, as I walk to Mr Wilson's office.
