I'm in love with my best friend

Lindsay Horan and Miranda collins are the best of friends. Nobody could ever break them up. They tell each other everything. Well... Almost everything.. What happens when Lindsay finds out that Miranda has a secret... A secret that could change their friendship.. Will it?

29. I'm breaking up with her?!

Lindsay's POV

I woke up early.

Miranda went home last night.

I walked downstairs and my mom was sitting at the table.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

"Sweetie we need to have a talk."

I sat down, nervously.

Usually when she needs to talk to me it's serious.

"W-What is it?" I asked.

".. Your grandmother passed away a few days ago.." She said.

My heart broke.

"Oh.. my..." I said, looking down.

"So your grandfather is moving in with us. And you know he's just like your father.." She said, trying not to make eye contact.

"Mom just spit it out." I said.

"You and Miranda need to break up." She said.

My whole body froze and my heart broke.

"I'm sorry but that's not happening." I said, looking her straight in the eyes.

" sweetheart. You're grandfather will never let us live it down if he finds out." She said.

"No. I'm not breaking up with the one I love. The one I've given everything to. No." I said, raising my voice slightly.

"Lindsay. I really sound mean when I say this but. You only have to break up until.. He passes away." She said.

"Mom. I'm. Not. Leaving. Her" I said, my voice cracking when I said 'leaving'.

"You will still be friends. You just can't be kissing." She said, standing up.

"Come on this isn't fair!!!" I yelled.

"Lindsay. Please. I can't deal wit your grandfather complaining like your father did." She said, calmly.

"Mom. Please... Please don't make me do this.." I said, tears forming in my eyes.

"Lindsay. Now. Go do it. Just get it over with." She said.

I got up and walked outside.

I slowly walked over to Miranda's house.

I knocked on her door and her mother answered.

"Hello Lindsay." She said.

"H-Hey.. Is.. Is Miranda h-here?" I asked, trying to keep down the cries.

"Your mother told you about your grandfather didn't she?"She said.

I nodded.

"I know it's hard.. But I know you both won't be broken up too long. That man has seen better days." She said, putting a hand on my shoulder.

It made me cheer up a bit more.

But I still felt like bawling.

I will later.

I walked inside and walked up the stairs to her room.

I walked inside.

"M-Miranda.." I said.

She jumped up and hugged me, tears streaming out of her eyes.

"Lindsay oh my god my mom told me everything! I just want you to know that no matter what I will always love you. I'll always be here for you." She said, cupping her hands on my face.

The tears started streaming down my face and she kissed me, hugging me tightly.

She pulled away and I threw my self in her arms.

We finally pulled away because we knew we had to.

She walked me outside and we saw my mother holding my grandfather's suitcase.

I turned and looked into her eyes.

We leaned in and kissed one last time.

"I'm gonna miss doing that." I said, hugging her.

"I know. I am too." She said.

I held her hand.

"But.. We can still hang out as friends." I said.

"Yeah... Friends..." She said.

I let go of her hand and turned slowly.

"I'll.. I'll text you later.." I said.

I walked, holding my tears in.

I finally got home and saw my mom standing there, smiling like the FUCKING DEVIL SHE IS.

"Hey... How'd it go?" She said.

I walked by her, stomping up the stairs.

I got to my room and just before I shut the door.

"I HATE YOU! YOU RUINED MY LIFE!" I screamed, slamming the door.

Where's my razor, I need something to take the pain away.
