15. Classes

James's P.O.V

"You missed me?" Lily asked me in almost a whisper, even that we couldn't be heard in here, for no one was around.

"You doubt it?"I asked back. Lily giggled.

"No." She said honestly. I looked at her eyes, her beautiful green eyes which I adore.

"Did you?" I asked taking a step towards her. She hesitated at first, but as I took another step she answered.

"I - I always do." Her words got my insides to move strangely, I didn't hesitate, nor did I give her a time to think about what she said or even to blush, I placed my lips on hers and kissed her passionately. She kissed me back placing her hands on my shoulders. When we finally broke apart, Lily giggled again.

"We've got a Quidditch match tomorrow. You'll come and watch, won't you?"

"Don't I always?"

"Yes you do. But this time, I want to win for you." I told her as though I didn't always do it just for her. To impress her, or just because I saw her smile at the crowd.

"Will you?" She challenged raising an eyebrow. "We'll see."

Ethan's P.O.V

Ruby and Katy were laughing, I got distracted by seeing a couple, talking and flirting. They were James and Lily, they looked so happy together.

"What are you looking at?" Katy asked.

"Huh? Them." I answered.

"Awwh, they're so cute!" Ruby said.

"They are indeed." Katy agreed. I looked at my watch to see what time it was, it wasn't long till my first class began.

"I have potions in fifteen minutes." I said sadly, I wanted to stay with Ruby - well and with Katy, but Ruby was more important.

"Oh, You're leaving?" Ruby asked disappointed.

"But I'll meet you here just when the class gets over."

"Alright. Goodbye." Ruby said as I hugged her. I wasn't sure at first but I hugged Katy too.

"Bye Ethan." She said smiling.

I went to my dormitory and saw my friends, they were gathering around the corner of the common room.

"What's happening?" I asked.

"There's a Quidditch match tomorrow, with the Gryffindors. We'll be able to teach you all about Quidditch." Austin said. He was in our Quidditch team, they once tried to explain this game for me but I couldn't understand it. Tomorrow was the chance. We had a game against Alex's house.

"You'll hang with them all the day won't you?" Grace asked sadly.

"Yeah." Grace sighed. Why didn't she want me to spend the day with them?

"We're almost late for Potions." I reminded them. Grace already had her book.

"Come on, get your books and they'll follow us." She said. I did go to my room but then remembered that I didn't have a book. Professor Slughorn -our potions teacher- was supposed to give me one today at class. So I went to the common room empty-handed.

"I don't have a book, I forgot it." I told Grace for she was wearing a confused look on her face as she saw me. She took my arm and we walked to the potions class.

"Why are you spending the day with them?" She asked.

"Why not? Ruby's my friend and Katy's alright." What was wrong with her?

"Your friend? Yeah I doubt it." She gave a fake laugh.

"My best friend." I corrected.

"Yeah I doubt that too." I took my arm our of hers. She was getting weird.

"What d'you mean?" Could she tell? Was it obvious?

"You know exactly what I mean." She said sounding upset. Did I know what she meant? Did I really?

Alex's P.O.V

"It's hot in here isn't it?" Sirius asked. really, changing a flirting conversation into a conversation about the weather was the uncoolest thing anyone would ever do, if there was even such a word. Instead of being upset I laughed.

"Seriously Sirius?" He laughed too sheepishly. "So tell me, why do the boys call you Padfoot?" I laughed at the nickname.

"Urmm," Sirius hesitated. "Because..."

"What, are you ashamed of it?" I giggled. "Do you have a dog's feet?"

"No!" Sirius laughed. "It's just a thing they do." I raised an eyebrow, he wasn't telling the truth and I didn't like it.

"It's a secret?" I asked. Sirius looked - well ashamed, I felt like he wanted to tell me but he couldn't. I didn't want to push it further, I didn't want to upset him. I took his silence as a yes. "Alright, it's ok you don't have to tell me." I smiled weakly. Curiosity was running through my veins, why was it a secret? "What do you have now?" I asked changing the subject.

"Herbology!" He said suddenly realizing he was late for it. And it made me too realize that I was late for my own class. Potions. With Ethan. I was uncertain how I was supposed to say goodbye to him, should I shake his hand, wave, just go away, or what?! As if reading my mind Sirius got closer to me and hugged me tightly. His chest felt warm and safe. I loved it in there that I hated how short the hug was, at least it seemed short.

"Good luck with Slughorn." He said as he was leaving.

"Thanks." I said as I left too, trying my best to run without sweating. It was the last thing I needed.

"Want me to take you there?" He offered.

"No! You go to your class or you'll be in such a trouble. I'm a guest, he probably wont mind it as much as he does if it was someone from Hogwarts."

I tried to remember what the girls told my about the potions class, the dungeons. I started heading to the dungeons, Down the staircase I went. At last I was there. The professor was in the beginning of the teaching but I did interrupt him with my knock.

"I'm sorry, I'm late. I - I got lost." As a guest, I could easily make this as an excuse.

"Alright, young girl. What's your name?"

"Cross. Alex Cross." I answered.

"Alright then Alex Cross, there are some books in the locker right there" He pointed to the locker that stood near some huge cauldrons. "You can get one of yours to yourself." I nodded and got one of the books.

Professor Slughorn was medium in height for a grown up. He was also a bit over-weight but not so much, just a bit.

"Now, as I was saying." He continued to the class. "Today we'll talk about a simple potion so that our guests wont find potions very hard. We'll learn how to make a Forgetfulness Potion, probably all of you know already how to make it, but we'll make it anyway just for fun. The potion's ingredients are:  Lethe River Water, mistletoe berries, and Valerian sprigs. Now tell me, what does this potion do?" I placed myself between Lara and Max, we were standing and there were many tables, each one had a cauldron on it, although the fire wasn't set on it. A few Hufflepuffs rose their hands, almost all of the Ravenclaws rose theirs however. "Got to love giving a class for Ravenclaws." Professor Slughorn admitted which caused us to laugh. "Miss Katy." Katy was a Ravenclaw. Instantly she started answering professor Slughorn proudly.

"It causes an unknown degree of memory loss in the drinker."

"Correct. Five points to Ravenclaw. Indeed it causes memory loss for the drinker. It's not really known for how long, but it goes between a week and two months! It depends on how strong the potion is and it depends on the person's respond to it. Now begin."

I was pared with Max, I helped her with crushing some unknown things to me in the mortar. I loved watching her doing her stuff, greatly, and neatly too.

Sirius's P.O.V

As I got in the class, professor Sprout wasn't happy about me being late.

"I - I was helping one of the guests. She - they got lost." I lied.

"And you had to be so noble to lead her to her classroom." She said. When I didn't answer she said. "Get in this time, but you'll lose five points from your house's points." I found my way to my friends, who laughed at me.

"Did you kiss her already? Jealous of me?" James asked.

"Shut up."

"Well did you?" Remus looked up, surprised.

"No." I said coolly, I really wished I did though. I thought. I talked to her because I wanted to tell her about the dream I had. To see her reaction.

"What's up?" She said as she finally stopped blushing after I asked her for a private conversation with her.

"I had a dream about you yesterday." I answered almost in a whisper. I didn't want any of the boys to hear me, even if we were far away from them.

"really?" She asked her eyes flickering and her cheeks blushing. Just like in the dream.

"Yeah." I said grinning and looking right in her eyes. "You - You were wearing a beautiful blue dress, and you started spinning around showing it to me. You looked - beautiful as you always do." Alex blushed even more, her whole face was red now and she tried to hide it by getting her head down. I raised her head with my hand, her face felt very small and soft.

"Stop it." She said. "I'm not that beautiful."

"You are indeed."

Then I started remembering my dream.

"Sirius you're driving me crazy with your words." Alex laughed. Her blue dress covered just a shoulder of hers, freeing the other.

"You drive me crazy with your everything." I told her. "Let's dance."

We danced and danced, until we got all dizzy and tired.

When I woke up this morning I really wished this all wasn't just a dream. But sadly, it was.

I kept on thinking about her that class, remembering her in my dream and in reality.

"Padfoot! Come on!" James was edging me with his arm.

"The class's over."
