7. Chap 7: The Storm

Robin's POV

New day. Walkers continued to roam the streets of Walkman Road. We still take shelter at the 12-story mall. All the bathrooms are perfectly functional-except for the second stall on the 4th floor... But as the days go on, the better I get at sniping. Michael smuggled a Military sniper and a hunting rifle for me. Headshot with a military-damn, blows you're head right off.

" make sure your not in her line of sight when she's out hunting haha," John said as he was watching me snipe.

John was more of an up close kind of guy, he's got his 9mm by his side at all times. Sometimes, he'd still be causing attention. Just like the first time we met... Still, same old, John. David, too. Well David... He's become a little... Sassy. Probably because he got a gun, thinks he's a big boy now. I gave him a handgun, 9mm. He's pretty good with it. We tried target practice, it's silenced(thank god).

I got about 26 headshots by the end of the day, it's now past noon and the sleeping begins. I hear rustling going on, when I see that David and John crept into my bed. David was in the middle of course. John reached for my hand very slowly. As he was going to grab it, I moved my hand slowly to see if he could see where my hand was going. Nope, he softly landed his hand at my side where my hand was supposed to be, but he realized then, that I'd moved it.

I heard a deep sigh from John. I shuffled over to look at him. He must've heard me because after I moved, he looked. He put out his hand once more, and I grabbed it, he smiled, I could feel it, because I did too...

And that's when I heard thunder for the first time in decades. I stood up and walked to the window,

" a storm is rolling in," I said as I see the grey thunder clouds storming in.

"shit, it's happening," John said from behind me. I looked at him and held my hand out for him to catch. He stood next to me now, hand in hand.

Michael came over and had a disappointed look on his face when he saw the clouds.

"it'll last for about 4 days," I told him. He nodded. The only reason as to why or how I knew this, was because I took nature's classes all 4 years I had high school. And then this happened.

I looked out the window once more, seeing my reflection, and sighed... "it's going to be one hell of a week,"
