I have Dreams. Dreams which I can't explain. Dreams that feel so real, it's as if they are memories. Sometimes I feel as if I am awake, and it's happening in front of me, other times, I just dream of nothing. It's either The Dream, or just a blank. Something happened to me in reality. Something I can't remember when I have my eyes open; but when I sleep, relive it in flashes.

5. Something in the Rain

"Dreams are today's answers to tomorrows questions."

Edgar Cayce

The pub was busy, filled with all of the regular customers and very few troublemakers.

This pub was a rare Haven in London, rarely getting any problems with drunks or fights.

All of the regular customers and Sonny's glares quickly stop any fight which may be brewing in any drunks minds.

I loved the atmosphere here, the air was always filled with happiness and laughter. People came here to have a good time and chat with their friends. That is exactly what they get.

I turned to glance out of the window, and see someone standing in the rain, staring at me with bright amber eyes that glinted through the rain and fogged up window.

My breath hitched in my chest. I knew those eyes from somewhere...

Suddenly, there was a smash of glass, and I was instantly back to work, picking up shattered glass from the tiled floor before retrieving a mop to clean up the pint of Guinness.

Yet those eyes stayed with me for the rest of my shift, and when I went shopping for our weekly food supplies.

They were deep and dark, yet were crystal clear and with such an indescribable radiance of colour that just the memory takes my breath away. I thought for a second that they had turned blood red, yet the man seemed to disappear when I blinked.

I shook my head before pulling up the hood of my waterproof coat and trudging through the pouring rain.

I know that I could have imagined the man, seeing how I'd had trouble sleeping with these nightmares which were too real for comfort, but I know that I saw him. He was not something I had imagined.

There was someone... something standing in the rain, staring straight into my soul.

I shivered against a strong gust of wind that blew rain into my face like shards of liquid ice, freezing my skin with the pain.

'You shouldn't be out in this weather.' A deep voice said from behind me. I spun and saw a tall blonde giant of a man standing in front of me. He didn't have a coat or umbrella, and didn't seem to be bothered by the rain whatsoever.

'Shouldn't I be saying that to you?' I said, laughing slightly before starting to walk away.

'It's dangerous for you... for us. You've changed him human. Now we have to deal with the consequences.'

'Excuse me?' I asked, confused, frowning up at his inhumanly beautiful face, rugged and tanned, seeming to illuminate the grim atmosphere the haze of rain created. It was then that I realized, his face nor golden hair were at all damp from the rain.

It was as though the rain went straight through him.

'What are you?' I whispered, my eyes widening as I stepped backwards away from him. I looked around, but all of the people seemed to just walk past us, not looking at me at all.

God, now I know why I hate London. I thought, tensing up, ready to run.

'You know the dreams are true.' He whispered, suddenly centimetres away from my face. I gasped, my heart speeding up in fear.

How does he know??? I thought frantically, trying to get away from him, yet frozen with fear where I was standing.

'So, I was right then? You Dream of him and what he's done for you? You remember what never happened?' Suddenly, the man was thrown away from me as though he weighed nothing. I stared at the new person who stood before me. His eyes were blood red as he stared at me, glancing up and down to see if I was harmed.

'Jordan.' He growled, turning on the muscled giant. He was tiny in comparison, and though he looked slim and muscled, he couldn't be a match for the buff guy picking himself up off the floor... could he?

'I thought you knew better than Grim.' He spat out, his arms shaking and his fists contracting in anger.

'Xavier, you're not yourself any more, this human is causing you pain Xavier. I can see it, even if Elaine and Veronica do not.'

Xavier seemed to relax, his tense posture relaxing as his back slouched slightly. His breath sounded raspy, as though exhausted.

'You always were more observant than the others Jordan.' He said, sounding tired, yet there was a harsh edge to his voice.

'Though, this one is mine. You will not interfere again, do you understand?' He said, his voice cold as ice. I saw Jordan seem to tack a step back in fear. Somehow, this huge man was terrified of the one standing before me who was barley high enough to reach his shoulder.

'I won't Xavier, but there is no point in you rewinding. Not only will you waste yourself, but she remembers that which did not happen in her Dreams.' Xavier spun around, his blood red eyes staring intently into mine. I felt my blood run cold, and shivers slither down my spine.

'She's more special than we thought. You shouldn't leave her in the dark any more. Even I will grieve over the loss of Time.' Jordan said. Xavier turned away from me, sighing.

'I shall handle this Jordan. You're information is... useful. Now leave me alone, and if you touch her again, then by the great Creator, you shall regret it.' I knew that I should run. I had that prickly feeling in the back of my neck, and my feet were itching to move, but I couldn't.

Though my body sensed danger, and wanted to run, my mind was curious. Something strange was going on, yet it felt familiar.

Somehow, I knew deep down, that with this strange man with the blood red eyes, I was safe.

Now all I had to find out, was what the hell was going on, and why this man had been invading my dreams for weeks.
