Mary Kate would like you to know that she's having a very hard time

This is my story. It will contain rants, sappy letters, crappy stories, ASDFGHJKL moments, and the all together recollection of my hilariously loser-ish life.

10. So much happened before Dorothy dropped in

As stated in my bio, my favorite musical of all time, and I've seen quite a few in my time, is Wicked. I first saw it the day before my 5th birthday. And even as a very small child, I was amazed by the things that went into making this musical. Like the sets, the costumes and all that. I loved every minute of it. Because I loved it so much, my mom took me back another 6 times to see it, before it sadly left Chicago to go to another city. I have the soundtrack (And I might have multiple copies),  poster off the logo from the very first time I went, a t-shit that says property of Shiz athletic department, and a postcard that they send us, saying it would be back this October (not specifically us, just the general public) I idolize Elphaba, A.K.A "The Wicked Witch of the West." Her story is very sad. Her mothered died giving birth to her, her father shunned her because her skin was green (The result of her mother having a fling with a salesman, and drinking "green elixer"), and her own sister Nessa, who is in a wheelchair, is embarrassed of her for being green. Somehow, she manages to work past all of that, and try and make her father proud by getting into the best school in Oz, Shiz university. In this school, there are teachers that are animals, head mistresses that know magic, and all that fun stuff. Of course, when Elphaba arrives at school, every one imediately exiles her for being different, and green, and book wormy. Something along the lines of this happens: These boys are taunting her, and they try and wheel her sister away from her, to a group of "cool people", and because she was specifically instructed by her father to take care of her sister, she freaks out, and her magic comes out. Knocking down the boys, making the sky turn dark, and sending her sister wheeling back to Elphaba. She expected to be punished for this, but instead the Head Mistress says "For years I have waited, for a gift like yours to appear" and she gets in special classes and stuff to help her use her magic powers. I can't tell you more than that, or I'd ruin the story. You don't know how much this story, changes my whole life. I actually stopped being friends with one girl, because she made fun of me for a week in a row for "liking some stupid, horrible musical" I love it that much, that I will stop being friends with someone out of principal for making fun of it.I took comfort in Elphaba. She was teased, and exiled, and she lost close friends along the way, and lots of people turned on her, but she, I'm going to say this because it is the appropriate time so don't attack me, Kept clam, and carried on. She didn't kill a single person, or hurt anyone, she just ignored everyone, and did what she had to, to be sucessful.
