It All Makes Sence to Me: These Litttle Things

The third and final book in the "Bear this in Mind' series, following "Meant to Be" contines on, skipping about 8 years ahead from "MTB".

In the story, Liam and Claire Payne have a big family of their own, and are doing a pretty goof job of figuring out what it's all about. However, not everything is easier with a family, over half of marriages end in divorce, and families can easily be torn apart and destroyed. Will they be able to beat the statistics with all of the crazy things that will be happpening in the future?

I hope you enjoy this book, and feel free to comment ANY suggestions you might have! Xxxx

14. Telling the family

(Claire's pov)

A week later, Liam and I decided it was time to tell our children about their new baby brother or sister.

"Ok, ready baby?", Liam said kissing my neck and hugging me from behind.

"Are the kids all in the living room?", I asked him.

"Yes they are, and hey relax we'll be just fine honey!", he said rubbing my back.

"Ok, let's do this then", I said giving him a quick kiss as we headed down the steps to where the children were seated.

"Can we go get ice cream, because daddy says when mommy comes downstairs we get ice cream", Austin exclaimed.

"Now Austin, Daddy told you you have to be a good boy when we tell you some big news, then we can get ice cream!", Liam said.

"Yeah, what's the news anyways?", Ryan added in.

"Ok well, Riley no texting right now, this is serious!", I started then stopping, losing my train of thought.

"Taylor that means you too", I added.  They both sighed, putting their phones in their pockets.

"Okay so, your mother and I are...........", Liam explained looking at me for my approval to go on.

"Having another baby!", Liam excitedly said finishing what he was saying before.

Riley's jaw dropped, and nobody said anything, they just looked at each other.

"How do you feel about this?", I asked them sitting down on a couch between Ryan and Austin.

Liam sat down next to the girls.

"Well....", Riley started.

"You can tell us honey!", I assured her.

"I think this is exciting, right guys?", Riley said.

"I actually agree with Ries this time!", Taylor said.

"Good, Austin that means that you gotta act like a big boy now", I said tickling him a little.

He giggled, kicking his feet a bit.

"WAIT, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?", Jake said as I just told him the news.

"Nope, and be quiet we don't want the whole world knowing this!", I said handing him my Spanish things.

"Oh my god Riley!", he said.

"Oh I know and I acted happy about the whole thing, too like an idiot", I responded shutting my locker and taking my stuff from Jakes arms.

"Trust me I got it, you just got a manicure yesterday it's on me, and wait you're not happy about this love?", he asked me.

"Thank you, and I don't even know Jake", I replied.

"Well, this is pretty crazy.  If you need to talk about it though, you know I'm here...", he said.

"Because you're the best and I love you?:", I said hugging him right there.

"Yes, because Im the best!", he said as we headed into Spanish, a second before the bell.

Spanish rolled on, and before I knew it it was sixth hour.

My Algebra teacher, Mr, Hardy told me I had to leave for an appointment.

This surprised me, and Jake gave me a weird look. I didn't know I had an appointment or whatever today.

I left the room gathering my things before, and blowing Jake a kiss back as I closed the door behind me,

when I arrived at the office, I saw my dad standing there.  He waved at me, and I waved back.

"Ready to go?", he asked me and I nodded.  When we finally got into his car, I asked "Wait do I really have an appointment?".

"What do you think Riley?". He said smiling at me as he pulled the car out of the parking lot.

"Thanks dad! You know Algebras the worst", I said.

"I figured....just don't tell mom about this, ok?", he hesitated.

"Ok I won't", I said giggling a little, even though that sounds really childish....oh well.

"So, I wanted to talk to you about the baby and everything, but I thought I really want ice cream, so why not take you out to ice cream?", he said.

"Ok, yeah sounds good to me, thanks Dad!", I said.
