1. Chapter 1.

"Oh come on Ly! Stop being such a pussy!” Cara squealed, as we approached the tattoo parlour, my palms became sweaty as it pressed against the door pushing it open and walking into the popular tattoo parlour
“You know what, this may not be a good idea, I’ve got my performance soon with Nick” I turned back for the door, but Rita blocked it, a smile spreading across her lips as she shook her head.
“Hi girls” the owner called for us, I briefed him on the tattoo I wanted and was informed to wait for 30 minutes. “Right, Lyla you’re up” I was snapped from my daydream and lay on the bed. The area just below my breasts (Where Rihanna has that Egyptian tattoo) was prepared and wiped and I assured the artist I was ready.
“Cara, I’m going to need moral support” I held my hand out for her and she grabbed it. I felt the needle scratch across my skin and I winced, but not as much pain as I had anticipated, I had experienced more pain than this a few months ago after I was diagnosed with depression, I know, not the same pain. But you know what im getting at. For the second time, I was broken from my daze as the needle met my ribs.
“fuck” I gasped, squeezing onto Caras hand painfully tight
---------------1 hour later---------------
“right love we’re just about done” the excess ink was wiped from my skin and I got up to the mirror to admire my new tattoo.I gazed at the swirled calligraphy that graced my torso, Thomas Edison’s last words:
It’s beautiful over there.
“It’s perfect” I whispered.
