Before I Fall

Allie Payne is Liam Payne's little sister. Liam had always been her rock, the person she always went to when she was feeling down. Her heart had been broken so many times that she was convinced she would never fall in love again. When her parents force her to go live with Liam and the rest of his bandmates what will happen when Allie becomes close with one of the boys? Will she fall for them?

16. Save Me

-Liam's POV-

I sighed as I made my way downstairs, the events of last night playing back in my mind. For a moment I thought I had gotten Allie back but something swept in and ruined it all. Something tells me that it was more than just her ex boyfriend texting her. I made my way into the kitchen where I found Harry and Niall sitting, talking.

"Hey mate, you alright?" Niall asked.

I rubbed my eyes slowly and nodded. "Peachy."

"I'm sure its just a phase." He reassured me.

I sighed and rested my head in my hands. "But its not though. Allie doesn't go through phases. When she has her mind set on something, it takes her forever to let it settle."

I noticed that Harry stayed silent, playing with the napkin that was on the table. I looked at his expression, cold, dark, sad. Mixed emotions.

"Harry." I spoke.

He didn't look up.

"Harry look at me." I said more sternly.

He slowly looked up his eyes meeting mine. "What?"

"Do you know something about this?" I asked him.

He looked down at the napkin again. "No."

"Then why are you acting like this?" I asked.

"Like what? I'm not acting like anything." He muttered.

I heard laughter from upstairs, slowly becoming louder. Moments later Allie walked into the kitchen, Luke right behind her. I gave Luke a dark look. Allie sent me a glare but nothing compared to the one she gave Harry.

"Allie I want him out." I told her sternly.

She turned around and put her hands on her hips. "I don't take orders from you."

"Yes you do. While you are living in this house, under my roof, you listen to me. Now I want him out." I told her harshly.

She smirked. "Oh fuck off Liam. I'll do whatever the hell I please."

I grabbed her wrist and pulled her away from Luke. I gave Luke a look that could have killed.

"Get out. Now." I spat.

He smirked. "Nah. I'm having too much fun here."

My jaw clenched and my fists balled up.

He looked at Allie and gave her a wink. My fist rose and collided with his jaw. He fell to the ground and appeared to be unconscious.

"Liam what the fuck?!" Allie screamed.

Before she could tend to him I grabbed her arm and pulled her up the stairs. I took her into her room and slammed the door behind me.

"Who the damn hell do you think you are? Allie you are not only acting like a bitch but you are acting like a slut. Using him? Two wrongs don't make a right. If someone has done something to you so harmful that you turned into this then you need to tell me. I will not accept your attitude. I swear to god I am one phone call away from you being sent home where you'll be sent to boarding school." I yelled.

She only stared at me with amusement. "You're about as scary as a puppy."

"Allie!" I bellowed. "I'm being fucking serious. Quit acting like a child and grow the hell up. You are not allowed to see Luke again. Ever."

"You can't do that! You're not my dad Liam!" She yelled.

"No? But I am your older brother. I care about you a lot and I don't want to see you get hurt. Luke? He hurt you. He cheated on you. Are you just going to let that go?" I asked her.

She looked at me. "No. Not I'm not going to let it go. But what difference does it make if I do or don't. We're all just fuck- ups in the end." She told me coldly.

She pushed past me and stormed out the door. I stared at the place she had stood only moments before and shoved my hands deep into my picked. I looked up at the ceiling and sighed. I slowly made my way out of the room and found Louis groggily making his way down the hall.

"What the hell is all the yelling for?" He muttered.

"Allie." I sighed.

He nodded, immediately understanding what I meant. I made my way downstairs and found Harry and Niall still sitting at the table.

"If you're wondering where they went, they left. Allie said something along the lines of "fuck everyone, you're all assholes."." Niall told me.

I sat down and slumped in my chair. I covered my face with my hands and groaned. "I'm really sorry about her. Something obviously happened that she's not telling me about. I'm going to find out what it is and I'm going to kill the person who caused this."

I saw Harry shit in his seat a little but I ignored it.

"Can we not talk about Allie?" Harry said coldly.

I crossed my arms. "What is up with you two anyway? You two were like joined at the hip and now you hate the thought of each other?"

He looked at me and sighed. "People change. She's just a bitch."

Niall looked at him, his eyes wide. "Whoa mate, where did that come from? Thats his sister you're talking about."

He shrugged. "So?" He stood up and looked at me. "Your sister is a fucking slut who thinks she gan get away with anything."

He walked out of the room and my jaw clenched. Niall looked at me then at the doorway that Harry had walked out of.

"What the hell is this? World war three?" He asked.

I shook my head and stood up. "No Niall." I sighed. "Its worse."

I walked out of the room and walked upstairs.

-Allie's POV-

"What is up with you anyway?" Luke asked as we drove.

"Just shut up and drive." I muttered.

"No. What the hell is up with you. Tell me now." He said darkly.

I gave him a cold glare. "No Luke. Not shut the fuck up and drive to your house. I'm not in the mood."

"You're a real bitch you know that?" He muttered.

"I've been called worse." I shrugged.

"Oh yeah? What?" He asked, slightly amused.

"Your girlfriend." I said simply.

He was silent but I could tell he was angry. Did I care? Not a bit. As soon as we reached his house we got out and walked inside. As soon as the door was shut he pinned me up against the wall.

"See but you'll get no where when you act like a bitch to me." He spat.

"And you'll get no where if you act like an ass. We're even. Now move." I sassed.

He pushed me harder up against the wall and I winced as soon as I felt the pain in my shoulder.

"Did that hurt?" He cooed teasingly.

"Shut the fuck up Luke. Let me go." I told him seriously.

He pushed me harder. "Don't tell me what to do."

"Luke stop!" I screamed when I felt his nails begin to dig into my skin.

His hand rose and his palm came into contact with my cheek.

"Shut. The. Fuck. Up. Do as I say." He spat.

For a moment I felt afraid as soon as I saw the all too familiar firey hate in his eyes. I felt vulnerable and hopeless.

"You can act like a bitch to your brother and his loser friends but not me. I don't put up with your shit." He yelled.

He slammed my body to the floor and straddled my waist.

"Are you going to listen to me now?" He bellowed.

I slowly nodded my head. His hand came into contact with my cheek as he slapped me once more.

"Are you?!" His voice boomed throughout the house.

I could feel the tears prickling in my eyes. "Yes." I whimpered.

"Not so bold now are you?" He chuckled.

"Luke... Luke please stop. This isn't you." I cried softly.

He pushed my shoulders into the floor. "Did I say you could talk?"

I quickly shook my head. He stood up and walked out of the room, leaving me laying there on the floor. I felt a tear slide down my cheek as I looked up at the pale yellow ceiling. This is why I don't trust anyone, this is why love doesn't exist. Because when you open up to someone and let them in, they'll just break you beyond repair. My cheeks stung, my shoulders and back ached. All because I had let him in. He came back into the room, a cold stare on his face.

"Get up." He spat. "Now!"

Slowly I lifted my shoulders off the floor and sat up. I hugged my arms to my body and slowly stood up, my legs unstable. I wobbled my way over to him and he pushed me into the kitchen where he sat me down at the table. He put his hands on the table in front of me and stared me down.

"Now we're not going to mention what jut happened to anyone, correct?" He said harshly.

My eyes didn't meet his as I nodded slowly. His hand grabbed my chin and made me look at him.

"Correct?!" He asked again, louder this time.

"Yes." I whispered.

He smirked a little. "Good. Now stay here. I'll be back soon."

He walked out of the room and I slipped my phone out of my pocket. I dialed Liam's number frantically and waited for it to ring.

"Hello?" Liam's voice asked after three rings.

"Liam." I sobbed. "Liam I need you to come and get me."

"Allie? Allie are you alright? Where are you?" He asked frantically.

"I'm at L-"

"WHat the hell are you doing?!" Luke's voice bellowed.

I looked up and saw him standing at the door.

"Allie?!" I could hear Liam's voice on the other line.

Luke rushed over to me and threw my phone against the wall causing it to shatter.

He grabbed me out of the seat and pushed me up against the wall.

"What were you doing? Were you calling for help?!" He yelled harshly.

"No." I sobbed. "No!"

"Yes you were! You little bitch!" He yelled.

"Luke..." I sobbed. "P-please stop." I cried through tears.

His fist met my cheek and I could feel blood start to run down my upper lip from my nose. He punched me again and I felt a sharp pain in my cheek. The whole time I just let him hit me as silent tears fell. His fist moved down to my stomach where he began repeatedly hitting me.

"Not going to call for help now are you?" He spat.

"Luke." I sobbed.

"Yeah. Call out my name. Scream it." He smirked.

My eyes slowly look up at him and I stared at him with such hate. "Never. I will never give you that pleasure."

"C'mon baby. Scream out my name." He grinned, his hands slowly moving down my stomach.

"Luke stop!" I told him.

His hands grasped my shorts and began unbuttoning the button.

"You know you want this." He whispered, his hot breath on my neck.

"Luke stop!" I screamed.

I tried pushing his chest away but he didn't move. He unbuttoned my shorts and tried slipping them off.

"Baby." He whispered in my ear.

"Luke I said stop!" I cried.

"Since when do I listen to you?" He spat.

"Since you cheated on me for four fucking months." I spat, gaining confidence in myself that even surprised me.

I pushed him off of me and ran past him. Before I could reach the front door he grabbed my waist and threw me to the ground. He pinned me down and smirked.

"Now lets try this again."

"Luke stop!" I screamed.

"Shut the fuck up!" He bellowed, slapping me with full force.

I tried pushing him off of me but that did nothing. He began unzipping my shorts as I tried swatting his hands away.

"Luke." I cried, tears streaming down my face.

"Save your cries for later baby. You'll need them." He smirked.

As he was about to slip my shorts off I could hear the front door fly open.

"Allie?!" I heard Liam's voice echo thorough the house.

"L-" His hand clamped over my mouth.

"Don't say a fucking word." Luke spat.

He picked me up and ran to a room. He ran into the bathroom and set me in the shower.

"Say one word and your brother won't be able to see the daylight again." He spat.

I tear rolled down my cheek and I nodded. He rushed out of the room and I hugged my knees to my chest and cried.

"You fucking asshole! Where is she?!" I heard Liam's voice bellow.

"Who Allie?" I heard Luke ask innocently.

"Who the fuck do you think?! Where the hell is she?!" Liam yelled.

"She left about an hour ago saying she was going home." I heard Luke say.

"Then why did she call me in tears telling me that I needed to come get her?" Liam spat.

"Look mate, I have no idea. I'm sorry. Try another friend's house maybe?" He asked.

It took everything in me not to call out his name.

"Mate, maybe she's not here." I heard Louis say.

There was a short silence before Liam spoke.

"Then why else would she call me? Who else would she be with?" Liam asked harshly.

"She's not here." Luke told them.

"Yes she is. I know she is. Do you think I'm stupid or something?" Liam asked.

"Yeah. And your sister is pretty stupid too. I mean, she practically tore her pants off the moment she got inside." Luke said, a smirk clear in his voice.

"You fucking asshole!" Liam bellowed.

I could almost hear the sound of Liam tackling him to the ground and the punches being thrown.

"Harry go find her!" Liam yelled.

I buried my face into my knees and hugged my legs tighter to my chest.

"Allie?!" I heard Harry call.

"You won't find her!" Luke yelled.

"Shut the fuck up!" Liam screamed.

I didn't even have the energy to yell back. I could slowly feel myself loosing it. My head began to spin.

"Allie?!" I heard Harry call again.

I heard the door to the bedroom open and soon the door to the bathroom flew open.

"Allie." I heard Harry whisper.

"Harry you need to go help Liam." I told him softly.

He looked at me and shook his head. He rushed to my side and picked me up in my arms.

"No." Was all he said. "Allie I need you to keep your eyes open."

He carried me out of the room and down the stairs. As soon as Liam saw me, an expression on his face grew like I had never seen before. He turned back to Luke and punched him once more.

"You think its funny to hit girls?! You think my sister is your little toy?! How dare you even lay a hand on her!" Liam yelled shrilly.

Harry quickly walked past them and ran out the door with me in his arms. He took me outside and set me on the hood of his car. He looked at me for a moment, examining my bloody, cut up, bruised face.

"I know. I'm stupid." I mumbled.

"No." He whispered. "You just fall for the wrong guys."

Moments later Liam and Louis emerged from the house, Liam slamming the door behind them. He rushed over to me and hugged me.

"Are you okay?" He whispered.

I sniffed. "I will be."

He sighed. "C'mon. Lets go home okay?"

I nodded.

He picked me up and walked over to the passenger seat door.

"I can walk Liam." I muttered.

"I don't care." He replied simply.

He set me in the passenger seat and buckled my seatbelt. Harry and Louis got into the back and Liam got into the drivers seat. He pulled out of the driveway and began the drive home.

"What were you thinking Allie?" Liam asked, keeping his eyes on the road.

I stayed silent for a moment before responding.

"Drop it. Just drop it please." I said quietly.

I helt his eyes on me for a brief moment but they quickly turned back to the road. The tension was so thick that you could almost see it. It took everything in me not to break down right then and there. Finally when we reached the house we got out and walked inside. I hurried past the worried stares of Niall and Zayn and rushed up the stairs. I walked into my room and shut the door. I hurried into the bathroom and examined my bruised, bloody, cut up face. I grabbed a towel and ran it under hot water. I winced when the towel touched the exposed skin. The sound of my door opened and soon Harry walked into the bathroom. He had an expressionless look on his face as he slowly took the towel out of my hand. He picked me up and set me on the counter and grabbed a first aid kit from under the sink. He took out some disinfectant and put some on his finger.

"This'll hurt a little." He mumbled.

I nodded and he put the disinfectant in the various cuts. I winced as I felt the pain shoot through me. He began cleaning off my face but his eyes never met mine. We stayed silent the whole time. Finally I broke the silence.

"Why did you do it?" I asked softly.

"Do what?" He whispered.

"You know damn well what I mean Harry." I told him.

He stayed silent for a minute before responding. "I felt like I had been played. Like you never really cared about me. I needed to take my mind off of it all."

"So you brought a girl home and hooked up with her when I was in the next room over?" I choked out, tears in my eyes.

He looked at the ground and didn't respond.

"You think that would make me like you more? Harry, I was falling for you faster than I ever have for a guy. I thought you were different." I cried.

He looked at me, anger in his eyes this time. "Yeah well your little fling with that asshole didn't make me feel too great either. Besides, I don't even remember bringing a girl home."

"Oh cause you were too drunk?" I hissed.

He there the towel down on the ground and glared at me. "Yeah. At least I wasn't aware that I was hurting you. You though? You did it just for the purpose of hurting me."

He stormed out of the room and I was left sitting on the counter. I slowly slid off and stood in front of the mirror. Even with my face cleaned up you could still see the pain in my eyes. The hurt. The betrayal. This time I had no one to turn to. Harry hates me. The other boys probably think I'm some stupid stuck up slut and Liam... my own brother even hates me. I had felt this feeling before, loneliness. When I had no one to turn to. The pit in my stomach was empty. Nothing was there. Nothing but loneliness. I slowly slid open the drawer and took out a small box. I opened the box and found the one thing that would relieve my pain. I closed the bathroom door and locked it. I took one small blade out of the box and sat down on the floor, my back against the door. When I met Harry, I thought I would stop. I thought he would be the one to change my mind about everything. In the end, I was only left broken. Once again. I looked at the blade in my hand and slowly slid it across my wrist. As soon as I felt the pain shoot through me I felt tears already streaming down my face.

"One for Harry." I whispered.

I slid it again.

"One for Liam."

The blade met my wrist again.

"One for boys."

"One for love."

"One for life."
