Or will the fate of the world tople to its knees in the hands of Helena?

{Please don't judge the book on the first few chapters... I was 13.}

21. We should probably go find the labyrinth

The minotaur noticed, and just happened to get his horns out of the ground at that moment.

"Where you going now, huh?" he asked Helena. She had no answer. The minotaur circled Helena for a while. It finally got to a point exactly opposite to Helena. It gave Helena a particularly menacing smile before lowering its head so its horns were perfectly placed at Helena's head. Helena didn't expect the minotaur to be so fast, but within seconds it was closing in on her. Closer. Closer. Closer. Helena held her sword up to the minotaur's temple with seconds to spare. She closed her eyes. Because if she was going to die, she'd rather have not seen it. Nothing happened for a while. Minutes had passed and still silence. She opened her eyes slowly. She saw nothing in front of her. Nothing. She carefully looked around and saw a pile of ash were she minotaur wouldn't been. She breathed a sigh of relief and carefully stood from her crouched sitting position on the cold, hard ground.

She walked back around to see Percy, Annabeth and Mark sitting on a rock, knackered. "Where were you? There were three cyclops' attacking us and you were gone." Percy said. "Oh, I'm sorry, I was too busy killing a Cyclops and his friend which just happened to be a minotaur ON MY OWN." Mark's head snapped up. He rushed to her. "Are you ok? Are you hurt?" Helena was baffled. She didn't realise Mark actually cared. Especially now, after leaving him to fight with the others and yelling at him and storming off. She took a minute to think about this before realising Mark's nervous face was still hanging over her head. She looked back at him and gave him a faint smile. "Nothing a piece or two of nectar can't cure." He looked uncertain but took it anyway, it occurred to him that she must've been alright if she was still making jokes after it.

Helena went over to Percy and Annabeth after her talk with Mark. They told her how there must be a labyrinth somewhere, considering there were a few monsters who attacked them and thus made it through the labyrinth. Helena looked at Percy as Annabeth went to retrieve her backpack, still rambling on about the labyrinth and how to find the opening. "Percy, look I'm sorry I wasn't here to have helped you, it didn't occur to me that there would be other monsters around and I'm sorry I don't know why I didn't come and help you, I just didn -" Percy cut her off. "Shut up. Please? How many where there? How many monsters did you fight on your own?" She waited before replying, "Two. A Cyclops and a Minotaur. I already said tha-" Percy looked at her. "You shouldn't be the sorry one. I should. Here I was, mad at you for not coming to help us, when you were fighting two creatures yourself. Helena. Please, please if you need help, call or do something. Please. I promise you or I at least hope you won't be in the situation again. I'll try my damnest" he chuckled as he said it. "but if you ever are in the situation again, please call for me. Or for Mark. Or for Annabeth. Or for the Gods. Or for Dad. Or for your mom. Just, please call for help from someone." he sighed "I'm your brother and I didn't know and couldn't help you with the attack. I should've. I should've gone after you when you stormed off. And I didn't and I'm sorry and I'm trying to work on it. I'm trying to be a good brother. I'm really, really tryi-" It was Helena's turn to cut him off. "Percy, I promise. I promise I will call you. Or Mark. Or Annabeth. Or the Gods. Or Dad. Or my mom. And for the record, I've known you what, six months? You're are an amazing brother Percy. Seriously. You are. Did you know that Annabeth told me all about you? How you returned Zeus his lightning bolt when you were twelve, when you turned down immortality. When you went to Tartarus and still made it back alive. My brother's the incredible Percy Jackson. That's super, un-sarcastically cool. Ask anybody." She grinned at him and after a few moments he grinned back. He got up and gave Helena a hug.

"So, we gonna find that labyrinth or what?" she asked him. He laughed and the two of them jogged back to where Mark was sitting, bored and where Annabeth was still. STILL. Rambling on about finding the labyrinth and Daedalus' symbol.
