{Please don't judge the book on the first few chapters... I was 13.}

18. The Talk

Percy and Annabeth went to the side to talk. "Percy, what the Hades are we going to do? Please, I'd rather not go back into the labyrinth. Do you remember what happened last time? With Luke and your 'brother', and sure we found Daedalus and Pan but it was pretty crappy other than that. Please Percy, please, we can't go back please don't make me, I don't want to go ba-" Percy cut her by pulling her close, and kissing the top of her head. "Annabeth, it's going to be ok. We're going to be fine. Don't worry, ok?" Annabeth couldn't just accept that. She was always the logical one who thought everything through. She had to know that everything truly be fine. Percy was still holding her, he was looking at her too. "Annabeth..." he sighed "What?" she asked, innocently. "Don't do that. Yes, I have a brain full of seaweed, but you and I both know what happened to Beckendorf. That is not happening again." Annabeth noticed that Percy's eyes were saying that he was adamant that nothing was going to happen. Annabeth just nodded. She didn't say anything, she didn't feel the need to. They just hugged for a while, no knowledge or thought of what was ahead of them. They walked back hand in hand to see Helena and Mark sitting, staring into each others eyes. Annabeth smirked slightly. Percy's grip on Annabeth's hand tightened as they walked closer, he'd obviously seen the tension between the two.

Helena was first to snap out of the daze. She jumped up suddenly. Mark stayed sitting for a moment, staring at the spot where Helena sat a few seconds earlier. He suddenly realised that Helena was standing and both Percy and Annabeth were looking at him, Percy looking slightly tense to say the least. Mark cleared his throat and asked "so, where are we going?" Annabeth quickly filled the silence and said "well, we need to call an old friend. She should help us. We should start by warning Camp about this. They need to know - last time the Camp almost got ruined. We need to tell them monsters could be coming". "Quick question, do I get to kill anything?" a more-than-eager Helena asked. Annabeth and Mark just looked dumfounded whilst Percy relaxed slightly and stifled a laugh. "Only if we feel we to" he said. Turns out, he said that at an extremely convenient time.
