Child of The Sea

Helena Troy is a 16 year old girl who has known she was a Half-Blood since the age of nine. Unfortunately, her mother hadn't informed her of her godly father. During her time at Camp Half-Blood she discovers that she must go on a quest to save the gods. Will she save the Gods and the world? Or will the fate of the world tople to its knees in the hands of Helena?

{Please don't judge the book on the first few chapters... I was 13.}

15. The Quest is revealed

The next morning, Chiron made the announcement over breakfast. Angry grunts were heard whilst the campers ate. The discussion at the Poseidon cabin's table was one where the siblings talked about the prophecy that seemed to mention the two, Annabeth and possibly Mark. Helena had a bad feeling that Chiron wouldn't let her go but she and Percy both knew that wouldn't stop her.

Annabeth and Percy dragged Helena and Mark to the Big House to talk to Chiron after breakfast. They told him of their plan to go, find the fleece and return with time left to spare. For the first time since Percy's first quest, Chiron agreed to a new camper going. All four were shocked, believing that the centaur would turn them away instantly. It seemed almost as though Chiron had suddenly aged and it had clicked in his mind that, after almost losing the camp time after time, they needed the fleece. If they didn't return the fleece, no one knew what would possibly happen to the camp - and to Thalia. Gods forbid, he didn't want to find out.

Helena, Percy, Annabeth and Mark all made their way back to their respective cabins in order to start packing for the quest. Helena didn't know what to pack, she'd never been on a quest before, especially not one this big. What to pack? How many weapons? Clothes? Underwear? Swimsuits? What?

Her thoughts were cut short by Percy opening the door to Annabeth and Mark. Annabeth quickly caught up on Helena's dilemma, told the boys to go and wait at the top of the hill for the pegasi whilst the two girls packed. Annabeth helped Helena to close her bag before turning to her and asking "so you and Mark..." to which Helena replied, careful to be quick, yet not too quick "Me and Mark what?" Annabeth just smirked and walked out in order to catch up with the boys.
