Never Saw It Coming

Mackenzie Moore is an American girl from the middle of suburbia who moves to London and falls for Niall Horan. With all the pressure from fans and the press, Mackenzie wilts under the spotlight. Will she be able to keep up this relationship with Niall, or will she have to break his heart--and her own?

39. Coming Home

I never let go of Mackenzie until we got home. I couldn't believe she had been missing, and I was so glad she was back. Harry dropped us off and headed home.

We walked into her apartment and sat on the couch. I wrapped her tightly in my arms. "I never should've let you go anywhere by yourself," I said.

"Oh, shoot!" Mackenzie exclaimed. "Your present is at the warehouse!"

"I don't care about that, you're back," I replied. "Why'd you get me anything?"

"You've done so much for me Niall," she explained. "I know it's not as expensive as what you have gotten me, but it's something."

I kissed her and we made out for awhile. The TV played as we kissed. I pulled away when I heard, "Niall Horan is claimed a hero after saving his girlfriend from being held hostage in a warehouse downtown."

"I didn't do much saving," I said. "I just showed up. You did all the work."

Mackenzie kissed me again. "Who cares? Besides, I wouldn't be able to get home if you hadn't showed up!" She leaned back in and we kept making out.
