6. Chapter 6

Louis' POV
Today was school. I wasn't sure about wearing my glasses to school. Nikki said she would wear them if I did. That's an opportunity I couldn't pass up on, seeing her with glasses on was like looking into the eyes of an angel. I decided to put them in my bag. I drove to school. Sounds cliche but when I opened those doors. She was the first person I wanted to see.

I walked up to my locker and saw Nikki standing there, in her glasses. She looked a little disappointed when she saw me. "Don't worry, there in my bag." She sighed. "Louis, you made a promise." She said upset. "I know but my friends..." "Which friends? Nerd Louis' friends or Asshole Louis' friends? Cause if your Asshole Louis I don't know why I'm here."

"Nerd Louis'. You." She looked down. "Are you afraid to show people who you are? Afraid that your so called friends would leave you? Because Lou, I wouldn't." I knew she wouldn't leave me. She accepts me for who I am. "You know what? You can figure out who you are by yourself." I went to grab her hand but she walked away. Fuck it up why don't ya Louis?

I sat in class next to Nikki, trying to get her to say something. "Please Nikki." She didn't even move. "Let me explain." She didn't even look at me. Great.

I walked out to my locker. Nikki was supposed to come over today. I don't think she will. She isn't at my locker. I walked out slowly to my car. Looking down. I looked over at my car to see a figure leaning against it. I couldn't see them clearly because I wasn't wearing my contacts. I pulled my glasses out and slid them on my face. Nikki was standing there on her phone. "There you are." I was shocked she was actually talking to me after this morning. "Um hi." She looked at me confused. "Everything okay?" "Yeah, I just thought you wouldn't talk to me after what I did this morning." She shook her head. "You weren't even at school this morning." I didn't get it.

"Yes I was." She shook her head. "I didn't see you." "B-But we had a whole conversation about my friends. By my locker." She looked up and back at me. "No, I waited at your locker but you never came." I looked down. "I was looking for you. Asking for you. But the other Louis was too stubborn to tell me where you were." I unlocked the car. "I'm sorry. That guy can be an asshole. It will take him a while to change." She nodded. "Alright lets go Lou." I hopped in the car and drove down the road.

She turned on the radio. 'DNA' by Little Mix came on. She looked out the window and started singing. "Does he tell you he loves you when you least expect it? Does her flutter your heart when he kisses your neck? No scientist...or biology, it's obvious when's he's holding me. It's only natural that I'm so affected. Yeah hey yeah."

"I didn't know you could sing babe" I mentally face palmed myself after saying babe. Shit. "Did you just call me babe?" I shook my head. "Nah." She smiled and bit her lip. "Yes you did." I chuckled. "No, I didn't." She giggled. "You did." "If I did?" She shrugged. "It's cute. It means you have feelings."

We arrived at my house and Nikki ran out. I followed her after locking my car. I unlocked the door to the house and she ran inside up to my bedroom. I followed her chuckling. I opened the door and saw her sitting on my bed. I sat next to her and placed my arm behind her. "I want to try something. It may make everything better or awkward." I nodded. This girl still amazed me. A week. One week is all it took.

She looked me in the eyes and leant in. I remembered the day I kissed her unwillingly and she hated me. I didn't want it to happen again. I pulled back. "What did I do?" I shook my head. "Nothing. It just when I kissed you before." She looked down. "I'm sorry." Why was she apologizing? "No it was me. I don't want you to hate me." She smiled. "I wouldn't hate you. I didn't before did I?"

We sat in silence. I wanted to kiss her. I just. "Forget it. It would probably take a turn for the worst." "B-" she cut me off. "I forgot my laptop, looks like I have to go." She said way too fast for me to process. I stood up. "No. We can use my computer." "Oh no. It's fine." She walked for the door and I followed her. She ran down the stairs.

I grabbed her arm and turned her around. Her mascara was running down her face. I wiped it away. She looked down but I lifted her chin back up. "I want is as bad as you do." She opened her mouth to speak but I cut her off. My lips met hers.

She didn't kiss back at first and I started to worry but then she flung her arms around my neck. I smiled into the kiss and licked her bottom lip asking for entrance. She pulled away. "Remember what happened last time you did that." I blushed. She giggled and laid her head on my chest. "Louis?" "Yeah." She slowly looked up at me. "Thank you."
