Ally’s POV

It’s been a month since I walked out of breakfast and I’ve kept my distance.

Of course, I still kept in contact and hung out every now and then with them but not like I used to.

It’s crappy I know but I still…I don’t know... confused?

I hate this. Everything about this.

Two guys liking me. Two perfect guys liking me, not to add.

“Als, come on. Why don’t you just work this out with them?” Will stared at me, sprawled out on the couch as I hit the ‘ignore’ button on Harry’s call.

I’d long since told him about my predicament. He’d agreed with my conclusion of me being the reason behind the Haylor break-up.

I stuff my head into the cushion that smelt strangely like mom’s perfume.

“y’know, you lying here like an idiot won’t solve anything. You’ll still have to face Liam and Harry.”

I shoot him a glare, mainly because he was right and I was too much of a coward to do exactly that. “Thank you Mr. Psychiatrist slash my-dads-an-MI6-agent.” I take the cushion and chuck it at him.

He catches it easily and drops it on the floor.

“Ally…” he begins as my phone rings again. Harry’s name flashes on the screen.

“Okay, okay,” I get up, making a big show of hitting the ‘answer’ button before heading to the balcony.

“Hello?” I muttered.

“Als, finally…” Harry sounds relieved, “Is everything okay?”

“Yeah, everything’s okay,” as okay as things would be when you have two guys liking you, but I don’t say this, “Why?”

“It’s just I’ve hardly ever seen you in the past month.”

That’s because I’ve been avoiding you. “Oh really? Bad timing, I guess.”

“Yeah, maybe,” he sounds unconvinced. “Can we talk for a minute?”

“Sure. Go ahead.”

“Not like this. In person,” he said.

I sighed in frustration, starting to shake my head and suddenly hearing the sound of Will knocking on the glass door, I turned around to see him giving me the solve-this look.

I sighed again. “Yeah, sure. Where do we meet?”

“Okay. When can you be here?”

“Look down.”

I do look down towards the street, confused but instantly I pick Harry out from the crowd, in a red beanie, black trench coat and matching pair of jeans.

“See ya soon,” I muttered, hanging up before running inside and throwing on a coat and leather boots.

“So?” Will asked as I rush past him towards the door.

“We’ll see,” I shout out before running out.

Harry sat across from me as we occupy a table in the local diner down the block, a mug each of hot chocolate in front of both of us.

No one says anything as we sit there for about five minutes.

I warm my frozen fingers, wrapping it tightly around the warm mug.

“It seems pretty coincidental, doesn’t it?” Harry asks as he continues to stare out into the street, a young couple passes by, the girl leaning against the guy’s shoulder, his left hand wrapped around her waist.

He sighs.

“What seems pretty coincidental?” I asked him, confused.

“Everything.” He doesn’t elaborate on this ‘everything’ he’s talking about. He sips from his mug before continuing, “you’ve been avoiding me, haven’t you?”

I continue to stare at him, silent.

“Don’t even try to deny it. You were,” he said before I could say anything. “I just can’t full understand the reason behind it.” He stares me right in the eye. “Why have you been avoiding me, Als?” He smiles sadly, dimples emerging.

“It’s just… too complicated.”

“You heard everything, didn’t you?” Even though he didn’t really say what everything was, he didn’t need to, I knew what he meant.

I nodded glumly.

“So you know.” A statement.

I nodded again. “Harry…” I began, studying the mug and the chip on its rim. “Why did you and Taylor break up exactly?”

He chuckled darkly. “That seems to be all everyone’s wondering this days, aye?” he took a long drink from his mug of hot chocolate like it was a type of alcoholic beverage.

He stared at me after placing it on the table. His green eyes boring into me as he continue to stare intently at me as if I was some puzzle he couldn’t solve.

I returned his stare, not backing down.

He throws me off when he whispers a single word that echoes in the space between us, “You.”

It’s minutes before either of us say anything.

“But then,” he began, “you already knew that didn’t ya?”

I refused to say another word.

He leans towards me from across the table; I lean back but don’t get very far.

“Did Liam tell you?” he asks.

I shake my head.

“Well, that makes sense. He’s worried y’know.”

“He’s worried you’ll leave him…”

I stare at him intently.

“…and come to me,” he finished.

My eyes widen. “That will never happen,” I snapped at him.

“It will.”

“No, it will not.”

“Yes it will Ally. Because you feel something for me. I know it.” He leans in even closer, his breath brushing my skin, my heart beating even faster and louder, my eyes widening even more, in shock, in surprise and ecstasy.

“N-no I don’t,” I manage out.

“Yes, you do. Even now, you’re thinking of how much you wanna kiss me as much as I’m thinking of kissing you.”

Damn, now I was.

I watch his lips.

Full, red and inviting. Tempting.

I shake my head. “Stop this Harry!” I snapped. “You can’t do this!”

“I can’t do what?”

“Confuse me. I’m with Liam, Harry. Liam! And the sooner you accept that, the better.”

He chuckled darkly. “This ain’t over, Als.”

“Yes, it is.”

“No. You can’t go back now. You’ve already fallen for me and the sooner you accept that, the better for both of us.”

I turn around, furious as I exit the diner.

Furiously I stalk off towards home. Not only furious at Harry but at myself and him for being partially right.

I might have already fallen for him.
