Yet Another Runaway's Tale

(EDIT 2/12/16: Yes, I know this story is terrible and while I'd delete it out of shame I'm kind of keeping it so I can laugh about it with friends.)

In a little village in the south of England, Carmen Stacey and her best friend Travis are living in a world of sweet nothing. But when things become sour, Carmen abandons her modern fairy tale life.

Just half an hour away is a different society, run by the corrupt LittleVilla family, with the eldest daughter, Kimmy allready on the run. When a series of events becomes illegal, Grace LittleVilla flees with local troublemaker Henry Sapphire.

2. Chapter Two~Carmen

All is quiet.

Mum and Jack are finishing off the remains of dinner. The twins are eating, no playing with their food. I am reading, because I have finished my dinner (obviously) I'm not allowed if I haven't."Was dinner nice Carmen?" my step-dad Jack asks me. Jack is my mum's husband and the father of my half-sisters

Blue and Indigo (The twins). Jack's okay, I look up to him sometimes. (Ha! You thought I hated him!)

"Yeah, it was." I say quietly, trying not to break the perfect silence.

Jack smiles and continues eating.

Then the doorbell goes.

"Carmen, be a dear and get the door for me." Mum asks.

I nod and head to the door. I open it and I see Travis, my best friend.

"Hey Carmen. Can you play out?" He asks

"I'll ask my mum." I reply.

I return to the kitchen. Mum's doing the washing up and the twins are playing with each other. Jack is no were to be found.

"Hey mum, can i play out?"

"With who?"

"Can't you play out with girls your age?"

"I don't really fit in with that crowd"

"Whatever, Carmen, go and play. Be back by Seven PM"

"Bye mum. Love you."

"Love you too."

I go outside, Travis is waiting for me.

"Okay, so where are we off to?"

"Your call."

"You just said it was my call-"

"I'm awkward."

"I noticed."

Travis then picks me up and runs to the park with me in his arms, I can't help but laugh.

When we reach the park, Travis goes fishing in his pocket and he takes out his harmonica. He starts playing a tune   on it. "Damn," I say "I should have brought my recorder." . Travis stops playing his harmonica and laughs  "Never mind, eh?" I smile. Then my phone bleeps; I check my mobile and see i have a new message: You have five minuets to get yourself home.   It's not seven. Why should I go back? I check who sent me the message: Jack.   "Crap!" I say. "Sorry Travis, I gotta go. Bye." I start running home, so I don't get caught out.   "Carmen!-"
