Yet Another Runaway's Tale

(EDIT 2/12/16: Yes, I know this story is terrible and while I'd delete it out of shame I'm kind of keeping it so I can laugh about it with friends.)

In a little village in the south of England, Carmen Stacey and her best friend Travis are living in a world of sweet nothing. But when things become sour, Carmen abandons her modern fairy tale life.

Just half an hour away is a different society, run by the corrupt LittleVilla family, with the eldest daughter, Kimmy allready on the run. When a series of events becomes illegal, Grace LittleVilla flees with local troublemaker Henry Sapphire.

24. Chapter 24~Skylar and Kimmy's Story.

I met Kimmy in pre-school. She was my first friend. Mum walked me in and the member of staff walked me in.

"Okay Skylar. Welcome to Oakwood Village pre-school" She said, she was really sweet. The woman looked around for someone for me to play with and she saw Kimmy by herself reading. She walked me towards her.

"Yes Martha?"

"Could you play with Skylar today?"

"Sure! Hey, my name's Kimmy Night. You the new boy? People said that there was a new kid, I'm honnored to be your first friend, funny enough, your my first friend too!-"

"Kimmy. I know how much you love talking but let Skylar get to know you before bombarding him with erm...gibber gabber, okay?"

"Okay Martha. So Skylar, what would you like to play?"

I smiled and whispered "What do you want to play?"

"Erm...Lets play..Lets play...Oh! I know we'll be pirates! I'll be the captain and you'll be first mate!"

"Yeah!" I shouted. I took Kimmy by the hand and we ran outside to our "Pirate ship" Which was really just a wooden playground thing.

Me and Kimmy had been friends ever since.

So let's just cut to the chase, we stayed the dynamic duo of Oakwood throughout Pre-School and Primary School. It

Was great. Then, we were in Middle School we decided to become a trio, which to be honest was a complete fail. The kids either wanted Kimmy to be their friend or me. If they spoke bad about either me or her, their shot was over and it was on to the next kid. These actions made us really unpopular. Back then you had to be friends with everyone to be Oakwood's queen bee.

Then came Chris and Mum's argument with government.

To make a long story short, mum and Chris wanted to buy some huge city and turn it into their buissness headquarters. The government declined their plans, so they bought a huge patch of land and started to build their city. During the whole of Middle School our families were on the news and as our language developed, me and Kimmy were called the "Rich Bastards"  of Oakwood. No one wanted to associate with us ecsept the rich kids, who had no imagination and only wanted to bitch about parliament.

That's what cracked Kimmy.

So whilst we were being hated on, our siblings Henry and Grace were really popular and loved, they weren't picked

on like we were. The situation with LittleVilla just totally seemed to benefit them. Kimmy didn't hate Grace though. Whenever Kimmy had a breakdown at home, Grace was totally there for her! And Whenever I was pissed at mum, Henry would back me up. Even if he had no idea what he was saying. So when the time for us to go to high school, and Henry and Grace to middle school, Project LittleSaphire had been completed and we were due to move that same week. When we moved, Kimmy's  behaviour seemed to change. She was really selfish and never care for anyone but me or Grace, and sometimes Henry. Shelia took Kimmy to councilling and it wasn't long until their couinciller basicly spoke the truth to them.

"Your selfish acts of yourselves has effected your ,daughter's mental state. She will get better. But either way.  You daughter is autistic. We may need to check if Grace is the same."

The good news is. Kimmy is better now. She's happier. That's why she's...uncontrollable at times.

So as Kimmy got better, Grace and Henry grew and the city was put on the map. I was starting to fall in love with Kimmy. She was my cosmic twin, my best friend, my first crush. As we we're being separated because of home-schooling, I feared I would never see her again. So we made up a plan to hang out at night, these meeting where the first experiences of love and reality, us as younglings. ever had.

Now, for the good part.

Christopher and Mum were losing profits as the news of Kimmy was broken out. They were losing their fortunes. They were losing fame and they would do anything to get it back. And I mean anything. And ironicly, Chris was being more and more suspicous, what I mean is, Chris isn't Kimmy's dad. And because she was born out of wedlock, she took Sheila's last name. Anyway Kimmy's dad was killed in an 'accident'  strangely this had been unspoken of for about 15 years. Until last year. Ask Kimmy, I don't know much. So as we continued to meet at night, we met Sofia. She lived in the 'bad' side of the city with her Aunt Ame. She gave us a guided tour of the other side of town and we joined the rebellion. When our parents found out, they were fuming, and we were going to be disowned after the arranged marrige. We wern't to be married. Some rich bachelor's son had bought Kimmy off her family, the same with me. And we ran away the night before, and we stumbled across Sofia. Turns out she was a runaway too.

"People say don't deserve a happy ending" I say to Carmen. "And people call Sofia a queer freak." I sigh "We ran from

misery and we're moving to our happy ending."

She nods. "Me too."

I smile and we see Sofia is in tears.

"Fia. Are you okay??" I ask?

"Yeah, it's just your story makes me cry every time!"

I laugh. Just then Kimmy stumbles out from the bathroom.

"I'd like to apologize for my behaivor earlier. I was really pissed at mum and dad and I wanted to annoy 'em. I love you guys."

"What have you done with your hair Kimmy?"

"Cut half of it off. And dyed it pink and purple"

"You banana." I say as I stand to give Kimmy a hug.

"I love you Sky"

"I love you too, Kimmykins."
