3. Chapter Three

-Liam's POV-

I climbed into the black Range Rover stationed outside the airport. The Range Rover sent to pick up me and Harry. My mum had called about my sister, and I had came, bringing Harry with me. The car started and the driver headed in the direction of my mum's house. On the way there, I saw a girl skateboarding in the opposite direction. She looked familiar, but I couldn't get a good look because she had her head down and was wearing a beanie.

We pulled up to my mum's place and I got out, followed by Harry who was staring at his phone. I walked up the steps on the porch, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door.

My mum opened the door, immediately pulling me into a hug after she saw who it was. Afterwards, she pulled me inside. Harry walked in behind me, pressing the lock button on top of his phone.

"Liam, it's so good to see you!" my mum exclaimed.

"You too mum," I responded. She motioned for us to sit on the couch while she sat in an armchair.

 "So, how's Lucy?" I asked.

"Liam, it's bad. She's turning into a rebel and it's not just a phase. She doesn't listen, and she does so many illegal things. And it all started when you left. I just think she needs her brother back, that this is a cry for help. But I can't be sure," my mum answered.

"Is she here? Maybe I can talk to her before she comes to live with me."

"No, you just missed her. She went to her friend, Kayla's, house.

"Was she wearing white skinny jeans and a beanie?" I asked, mind straying back to the girl we passed on the street.

"Yes. Unless I call her, she won't be back until tomorrow night, or so she says," mum answered, looking at the ground.

"Hey, why don't you call her and tell her you have a surprise for her. And if that doesn't work, play the sick relative or something," I told her, leaning forward and rubbing my mother's shoulder. I just couldn't believe my sweet, innocent sister is the cause of my mom suffering so.

My mum pulled out her phone and dialed.

"Lucy, you need to come home," she said when Lucy picked up.

-Lucy's POV-

My mom called my phone, and I decided to pick up. Mistake number 1.

 "Hello?" I answered.

"Lucy, you need to come home," she immediately said.

"What? No 'hello' or 'I love you sweety'?" I was annoyed.

"You need to come home," my mum repeated.

"Why should I? I'm having fun, much more fun than if I were at home," I tried keeping my cool, but some things weren't worth being kept.

"Fun? Doing what? Getting drunk and having sex with nameless guys?" my mom replied. Things were heating up.

"For your information, I've only ever had sex once. Thank you very much. And we are not getting drunk. We are watching movies and eating M&M's," I spat. How dare she think I was just having sex all the time! Don't get me wrong, I've tried, but every time, I just keep thinking about what happened a year ago.

"Well, your cousin is in the hospital, so you need to come home. We are flying out to visit tonight," my mum answered.

"Which cousin?" I slowly asked after a few moments.

 "Todd," my mum replied.

"Fine, I'll be home in 15. But this isn't for you, it's for Todd. God knows he is the only one who actually likes me in this family," I told her, hanging up.

"Sorry Kayla, but I have to go. See you tomorrow?" I asked. Kayla nodded then we did our handshake. I stepped outside into the cool spring breeze. I once again started skateboarding, but this time towards home.
