Wizarding Week

Louise has always dreamt of going somewhere completely new, and when her school organises an exchange with a mysterious school called Hogwarts, it's her perfect moment. Louise doesn't realise the magic behind the doors of Hogwarts, and maybe, just maybe, she might even fit in with the people there more.

10. Obliviate.

Draco and I danced the rest of the night, I didn't see Ron, Harry or Ginny for the whole night, but I was sort of wrapped up with Draco the whole time. I think they were trying to keep out of the way, but the one time I did see Harry and Ginny, they were passionately kissing in the corner. Ron hadn't seemed to happy about this, but if my sister was kissing my best friend, I think I'd probably feel the same way as him.

It was midnight when Draco and I decided we'd had enough. Most people had already left at about eleven, so there were no Slytherin's to bother us. My dress floated around me as I walked back to my dormitory, my hand holding Draco's. I still hadn't answered Draco's "I love you." properly, but I vowed that I would before he said goodbye to me. I knew I felt the same way, but it was just the saying it that worried me. I was glad that Draco had said it first, I don't think I'd have a chance of saying it if he hadn't have done.

We were approaching the spiral staircase that led up to the Gryffindor common room when Draco stopped me, he holds my arm, gently stopping me from walking.

"Louise..." he pauses, he looks quite embarrassed, "I've had an amazing night tonight. I didn't even care about what the other Slytherin's thought about me. But it's okay if you don't feel the same way about me." he looks at his feet, shuffling them slightly as he mumbles, "I could never compete with Potter anyway."

I raise my hand to touch his cheek slightly, his usually cold skin was warm under my touch, "Look at me." I whisper to him, he looks up, "I'd never like Harry, not in a million years. Not when there's someone like you right under my nose." I lean in and rub his nose against mine slightly, "I love you, more than I have ever loved anyone in my entire life."

Draco kisses me then, but with more need than before, neither of us need to say anymore words to show what we felt for one another, we knew. My heart starts racing and I can feel my stomach doing cartwheels as he kisses me. It felt like nothing in the world could interrupt us, but something did.

Pansy Parkinson was standing at the end of the corridor, in her Slytherin robes, as she hadn't been invited to the ball. A tall man, who looked a lot like Draco stood next to her, he had a frown on his face, and his fists were clenched, like he was ready to pounce.

Draco and I sprang apart immediately, as Pansy said in her usual screeching voice, "See, Mr Malfoy. I TOLD you that your son has been messing around with a..." she pauses and her face turns into a smirk as she spits out the last word, "Muggle."

My heart dropped, Draco's father, Draco had told me about him, and how much he hates muggles, and muggle-borns. He'd probably kill me if he ever found out about Draco and I, but he had.

Draco's father walks up the corridor towards us, he had black robes on which swept behind him as he walked, "Thank you, Pansy. I think it's time to sort this little mess out, don't you Draco?"

Draco opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out, he finally said, "Father...please, don't take her away from me. I love her." He stepped in front of me, shielding me from Mr Malfoy.

To my surprise, Mr Malfoy threw back his head, and let out a huge, cruel laugh which echoed throughout the corridors, "No. No you don't. You may think you do, but you don't. Malfoy's don't fall for muggles."

Draco folded his arms across his chest, standing his ground, but he has shaking, "Well I did. And she's not a muggle." He pushes his fringe out of his eyes nervously.

"Not a muggle, eh? That's a good one. Almost got me there." Mr Malfoy laughs again, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, "Well, I'm not going to kill you, son. So you're okay there. But I'm going to wipe your memory."

My heart sinks again, there is nothing I can do to stop Draco's father, nothing. I don't have a wand, and even if I did, I don't really know any spells.

Draco shakes his head vigorously, turning completely white, "No. No, no. You can't do that. I'll forget anything that's ever happened to me."

Mr Malfoy smirks again, "No. Just her. You'll forget everything about her."

I reach over to take Draco's hand, and he takes mine, ignoring his father, he squeezes it, "I love-"

"OBLIVIATE." Mr Malfoy shouts, pointing his wand at Draco as sparks fly out the end of it, Draco's hand stays in mine as the sparks hit him. And then it's all over.

Draco looks down at my hand in his, and he tears his away in disgust, "Who are you?"
