My name is Claire De'lune. You know how some girls say "oh I'm just invisible." Yea well I really am. People cant see me. Not because no one notices me but, because well.....I'm a ghost. I live my life hunted by the Shallowed, a group of ghost hunters who will stop at nothing unless destroyed. We are unseen by humans so I'm left alone hiding in the shadows and fighting my own battles. Or so I thought.

1. Chapter 1

Claire's POV

It was a cold December evening, and the streets were busy. I glided down the street observing the people around me. It was intriguing how they hurried along unaware that there was a whole another world right in front of their faces. "Mom! Hurry up we are going to be late!" The voice of a little girl rang in my ears. The girl who was yelling was running twoards me. I don't know why, but I felt she was going to run into me. I braced for impact as she was inches from my body. Suddenly a cold emptiness ran through me. As I looked down, I realized she had gone right through me. I dropped to my knees. I hated being reminded that no one saw me. That no one would ever no i exsisted. The emptiness inside threatened to break me down. I'm sure if I had heart it be torn apart right now. I laid there on the cold hard ground alone. The noise around me came to a hault and the streets were empty. Suddenly I was pulled up from my arms and lifted off the ground. This could only mean one thing. The Shallowed had found me. I started kicking and struggling to get free. A deep chuckle sounded through the air. "We've got you now. And this is where you end" he said. They pushed me down to where I was on my knees he lifted my chin up so I was now looking him in the eyes. One of them lifted a glowing sword and aimed it at my chest. I started screaming even though I know no one would hear me. I finally faced the fact that I'm done and there is no coming back.

Niall POV

I made my way down the streets of Seattle. I had gotten lost on my way to meet a couple of friends and I had no idea where I was going. When I had gotten some sense of direction I heard a horrifying scream that sent a chill down my spine. I had a bad feeling about it, but I ran twords the scream. When I came to a dark corner I poked my head around it to see what the commotion was about. What I saw left me terrified. There were three men tall and well built scars covering them. They were loded with glowing weapons. I couldn't see what they were crowded around until one of them stepped back. That's when I saw a girl, she was in all white and super pale. She seemed to raidiate. I was awestruck she was beautiful. I was brought back to reality when one of the men lifted what appeared to be a glowing sword. He was aiming it straight for the girls heart. Before I could even think I ran from behind the alley and shouted. "Leave her alone!" I threw myself at one of the men causing him to topple over. The girl was thrown to the ground and the other two came hurtling after me. What was I thinking these men were way more stronger than me. How was I supposed to fight them off? I searched for anything. That's when I saw something flash in the moonlight. It was a sword that the man had dropped. Withouth thinking I grabbed it and plunged it into the guy in front of me.  I let go of the sword. His face was in shock. The sword stayed in its stomach and then he dissapeared into ash. The sword now red dropped to the ground. The second guy was already inches away from me his dagger raised. As soon as he came close enough I slid beneath him, grabbed the sword off the ground and stabbed it into his back. He fell face first and turned to ash also. I stood up in shock. How was I doing this? What had gotten into me? There was one left and he was on the ground trying to get up. Sword in hand I walked over to him. I pointed it level with his chin. He backed up, but I only pressed further. "Why are you hurting her!?" I demanded. He laughed. "She's not who you think, she's a monster. We were only trying to rid the world of her." Anger swelled inside me. "She's not the monster here. You are!" I yelled. I pointed the spear at his chest ready to kill him. "Don't do something you'll regret human." He said. I was confused why was he calling me human? "I don't know who you are, but I won't regret this." I plunged the sword into his chest. He smirked evilly as he turned to ash. What was he talikng about? She's not a monster. I realized I had forgotten about the girl. I turned and sure enough there she was staring at me. I walked over to her and extended my hand. Her blue eyes were full of curiosity. "Are you alright?" I asked. She stared at my hand then back at me. "Y-you can see me?"
