Operation Haylor

*Written by me and my friend Josh*
When two starstruck teens meet their favorite stars, they won't let anything get in the way of winning those stars over. Not even the fact that their favorite stars are in a relationship. With each other.

The boys saw Niall at the counter and walked up to him right away. They were all dressed in outfits similar to Niall's: shorts, hoodie, beanie, and sunglasses. I squirmed in my seat, thanking God that he had blessed me with a surprise date with the boys.

Zayn slapped a hand down on Niall's shoulder and Niall turned around and greeted the boys. Harry asked him something and they all turned to me and my mom as Niall pointed to us.

My breath caught as I looked back at Harry. I briefly wondered if that affect would ever ware off.

He quickly strode to our table, never breaking my gaze through his sunglasses.

“Hey.” He plopped down in the chair across from me and took off his sunglasses. “Hey Natoli,” he said. He finally slowly tore his eyes away from mine. My eyes stayed trained on him.

“Hi Harry.” She smiled at him.

He smiled back at her, showing off his adorable dimples, before turning back to me.

Something suddenly blocked my vision of him. It disappeared just as quickly as a bag fell to the table in front of me.

I jumped. “Your fries,” Niall said, smiling at me.

Thank you,” I replied.

“Sorry to scare you again,” he said. “And sorry to interrupt your staring contest there.” He winked at me. “Harry won,” he stated, shoving a big bite of Frosty in his mouth. “You blinked first,” he mumbled through a mouth full of Frosty before plopping down next to my mom.

“Here's your Frosty,” Louis smiled at me and placed my frosty on the table in front of me.

“Thanks.” I smiled back at him as he plopped down next Harry. I pulled out my fries and the napkins from the bottom of my bag. I placed a napkin next to my Frosty and laid my fries on top. I put the rest of the napkins in the center of the table in case anyone else needed them.

“And here's yours,” Zayn said to my mom as placed her Frosty in front of her and sat down next to Louis.

Liam sat next to him. “And here's yours Harry,” he said. “Thanks for sticking round to help us,” he teased.

“Thanks Liam,” he said lightheartedly, not letting Liam get to him. He smiled at me, winked, and shoved a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth. Was I drooling? I casually took a bite of my Frosty, reached for a napkin, and dabbed at my mouth, just in case. One thing was for sure, I was definitely staring.

“I'm sweating,” Zayn said. “Is anyone else sweating?”

“Yeah,” Niall said. “These outfits are hot.”

“I'm not.” I smiled at Zayn.

“Well you're wearing a dress,” he pointed out.

“And she looks beautiful.” Harry was obviously talking to Zayn but he looked into my eyes as he said it. Then he placed his spoon back in his cup, slouched in his chair, and stretched his arms behind his back. He intertwined our legs-his ankle, my ankle, his ankle, mine-before grinning and showing me those dimples again.

The boys had wanted us to be at Hershey by nine that morning. No problem; I would get up any time Harry asked me to.

Looking out the window, I watched as Harry parked his car. There were lots of things to see at Hershey, of course, but I found Harry the most interesting. I'd been to Hershey plenty of times before, so it was nothing new for me. Though I must admit, it was strange seeing the parking lot completely empty. The last few times we had come we had to park in the grass because the parking lots were so full. And their parking lot is pretty big.

The boys had rented a car with a convertible top (don't ask me what kind of car it was, I have no idea; I can't name cars) so I could see all of them.

I was determined to take in every detail of all of them while I could. It was really hard though. It felt like one of those dreams I couldn't quite remember all of when I woke up. That made it extremely frustrating because, just like those dreams, this feeling was rare and hard to overcome. And hanging out with the boys definitely felt like a dream. I still couldn't believe this was happening. Harry Styles asked me to hang out with him and the rest of One Direction!

Liam was in the passenger seat. He was wearing a black t-shirt and jean shorts. Zayn was behind him, wearing a light blue shirt and jeans. Louis and Niall sat in the other two seats.

I was unable to take in the other boys' outfits because Harry turned to look at me. His eyes were covered by sunglasses but his head was turned in my direction and I felt tingly and like it was only the two of us in the entire world. The world started moving in slow motion as I returned his gaze. I watched as he pulled the sunglasses off his face. It was like my favorite scene in 17 Again, when Zac Efron got out of his new car with a makeover.

I noticed Louis climbing over Zayn out of the corner of my eye. The world returned to its regular pace as I slowly turned away from Harry to watch the other boys.

“Let's go,” Louis said as he jumped out of the boys' car. He was wearing his classic Louis outfit: red pants and white shirt with blue stripes. He landed on his blue toms with a “smack.”

“Yeah, buddy,” Niall said. He dove out of the car and took off running. I watched his blonde head as he ran. He was wearing a white short-sleeve polo. I laughed; he was holding up his khaki shorts as he ran. Louis started chasing after him.

I turned away and reached for the door. I jumped, not expecting to see Harry through the window. He smiled at me and we stared at each other for a second. He was wearing a green short-sleeve shirt that really complemented his eyes and jean shorts.

He opened my door and extended his hand. “Hurry!” he said, delight shining in his eyes. I grabbed his hand, hopped out, and we took off after them.

I heard other car doors slamming and then Liam said, “Let's just walk.”

“Walking is for losers!” I called over my shoulder. Zayn pulled his monkey face and, taking his cue, my mom did as well. I stuck my tongue out at them and turned to Harry. We both laughed and I threw my head back in bliss. The sun was shining, Harry and I were holding hands, and everyone was having a good time.

We reached the building and Harry dropped my hand. I could hardly be disappointed. I was still in heaven with him and the boys and he probably shouldn't have been holding my hand anyway...considering he was with Taylor. That thought was enough to make me frown.

“What's the matter?” Harry asked. I snapped out of my thoughts and was reminded where I was. And who I was with.

I smiled again. “Nothing,” I said. Feeling bold, I grabbed his hand and laced my fingers through it. If he didn't like it, he could drop my hand.

He didn't.

“Come on slow pokes!” Louis yelled to my mom, Zayn, and Liam.

Liam turned to my mom and Zayn and said something we couldn't hear. Zayn counted off with his fingers, one, two, three, and then they all started walking exaggeratedly slow.

“Come on!” Niall shouted.

They went back to their normal pace.

“Hey, a cow!” Liam shouted and took off for the statue behind us.

I laughed. “Oh, now you run!” I called to him as he zoomed past.

Harry and I started walking toward him. We watched as Liam snapped a picture of himself kissing the cow.

“I'm going to send it to Danielle and say 'Wish it were you'” he said.

“Aw!” Harry and I cooed. The difference is I was serious and Harry had raised his voice to tease him.

“Shut up,” Liam said. He flicked Harry's cheek and ran the short distance to the doors.

Harry dropped my hand and ran after Liam. They started laughing and messing around.

“Come on, let's get a picture,” Zayn said.

We gathered together by the doors: Niall, Louis, Harry, me, my mom, Liam, and Zayn.

“Who's going to take it?” Louis asked after we had all thrown our arms around each other. My mom and I started laughing.

Harry sprinted inside and brought a worker back with him.

“Everyone say 'Hershey!'” the woman told us.

“Hershey!” we all said together.

“Beautiful,” she said.

We all gathered around Harry's phone. She'd even gotten the sign that said “Hershey” and the statues of the Hershey's kiss, Chocolate Bar, and Reese's cup above it.

“How are we going to do this?” Zayn asked and pulled away from the huddle.

“Let's all go on the ride and figure it out from there,” I said.

“Sounds like a plan,” Niall said.

We walked through the halls of the ride. They had been painted to look like the jungle and ivy was draped around. Since it was the boys' first time, we had to stop and watch the video on one of the flat screens that hung from the ceiling. After that we continued down the hallway. The last hall was painted to make us feel like we were walking on a dock. There was a boat painted in the distance and a pelican sitting on a post. We clomped down the stairs to get on the ride itself.

“You guys can go on whatever cars you want,” a bored looking teen boy said.

“You guys wanna ride together?” Liam asked my mom and Zayn.

“Sure,” my mom said. The three of them hopped in the first car.

“Wanna ride with me?” Harry asked me. I nodded.

“Looks like it's you and me, Niall,” Louis said. He grabbed Niall's hand and swung it exaggeratedly as they hopped in the next cart. “See you guys,” he said to me and Harry. He shifted his eyebrows up and down and then grabbed Niall's face and pretend to kiss him.

Niall turned back to me. His face feigned delighted surprise as he wiggled his fingers at us. He turned back to Louis and the two of them laughed loudly.

Harry's cheeks were red. “Let's go,” he said. He lifted me up, placed me in the car, and then hopped in. My skin was still tingling where he had grabbed my waist. Obviously what Louis did embarrassed me, too. But I was so happy to be there with Harry and the boys and really happy that he was comfortable enough to tease us. Plus it was hard to think about anything besides my tingling waist and the boy in the cart with me.

“It's the milk chocolate,” the animatronic cows told us.

“Singing cows!” Harry said with boyish delight. He turned to me with a huge grin on his face.

“It's the milk chocolate,” I joined in with them.

Harry's eyes widened. “You've been here before?” he asked me.

“We come here a couple times a year,” I said.

“Oh,” he said.

“But being here with you is new,” I said quietly.

He grabbed my hand and laced his fingers through it. He closed his eyes, and I watched his face change from serene to upset. He looked like he was angry with himself.

Before I could ask him what was wrong, his eyes popped open and he turned back to the ride. I couldn't focus anymore. I stared blankly at the scenes in front of me as we were told how the chocolate was made. Harry didn't let go of my hand, but he didn't talk or look at me either. I wondered if he was thinking about Taylor. I really hoped I could get him to stop, but any real Directioner knew he was a sweetheart. He was probably afraid he would hurt her.

Another cow told us to get ready for a picture. Harry turned to me. He was smiling, to my relief. I took it as a good sign. Without any planning, we turned to the camera and made goofy faces at the same time.

“Wait Niall!” Louis yelled. He pushed through the turnstile as fast as he could and then took off running. Harry motioned for me to go through first and then we gathered around to look at our pictures.

“Look at Harry and Jules,” my mom said and pointed to the screen.

Everyone laughed at our funny faces.

“Wait, did you just call her Jules?” Harry asked. She nodded. “I like it.” He turned to me and smiled. “We'll take them all,” he said to the the person behind the counter and reached in his pocket for his wallet.

“This one,” Harry said and held a turquoise blue Hershey's shirt in front of me. “It makes your eyes look nice.”

“Alright, but find one that's big enough for you to wear.”

“Why?” he asked curiously.

“Because I want you to wear it. So it'll smell like you,” I explained.

“Alright then.”

He found one and paid for it and then-

Was he serious? He lifted off his shirt, showing me his perfect abs and multiple tattoos, and, too soon, put on the shirt he'd just bought me.

“You didn't have to put it on now,” I mumbled, shocked at the sight of his perfect chest.

“But you liked it better that way, didn't you?” He winked at me.

I blushed. “It makes your eyes look nice too,” I said, ignoring his question. Then I did something I wouldn't have imagined I would be brave enough to do: I reached up and caressed his cheek. A warmness instantly spread from his face to my hand and then all throughout my body. It gave me goose bumps. Everything I was doing with him, it was so natural though, easy. It was as involuntary as in my dreams. It was perfect. He closed his eyes and leaned into my hand.
