Silence (A Harry Styles FanFiction)

Eighteen year old, Scarlet Nights isn't like most teenagers. She still lives with her parents, she doesn't have a job, and that's because of one thing. She doesn't talk. She can talk, she just doesn't. She sings, she stays in her room all day, starring out the window singing. Nobody knows why she doesn't talk, simply because she won't tell anyone. On her 19th birthday a special fellow comes along and maybe, just maybe, she'll open up. Or will she stay speechless forever? Is it to late to change?

Hey guys! I'm sorry It took me so long to update!! But... I started a new book!!! So now I have a total of... Three!

Also 2,000+ reads! Thanks so much guys!!

Okay well... Since its been six days since I last updated... This is a long chapter, and also a good chapter where lots of things happen. Anyway... I hope you enjoy this chapter!!

I herd my mom yelling from the bottom of the stairs. "Scarlet, are you ready? Harry should be here soon!" I shuffled through my closet shoving clothes in my bag as I yelled back at my mom.

"Almost!" I closed my bag, grabbed my sleeping bag, and a pillow from my bed. I've never really been camping before, so I don't really know what to bring. What about food and water? Harry told me to just bring clothes, a pillow, and a sleeping bag; so that's precisely what I'll do. I managed to grab all my things as I ran down stairs and plopped my bags onto the floor by the front door. My mom began speaking, but there was worry in her tone.

"Hey honey..." I look at my mom confused.

"Yeah mom?"

"Are you sure you're okay going camping with Harry? For a whole week? Away from home?" Of course I'm worried, of course I'm questioning going; but knowing that Harry will be there the whole time makes me feel safer.

"Yeah mom, I'll be fine! Besides it's only one week! And when we come back Harry will be leaving for tour and I won't see him again for a month..." There was a knock at the door, I rushed over to the door and yanked it open. Harry stood there with a big grin on his face; he moved his hands from behind his back, he held out a bouquet of red roses.

"Hello love!" I smiled as I snaffled the pulchritudinous flowers from Harry's muscular hands.

"Aww thanks Harry!" Harry bent down and picked up my bags.

"How are you Mrs. Nights?" Harry smiled towards my mom.

"Oh please Harry, call me Susan! Alright you two go have fun!"

"Thanks mom." I said as me and Harry strolled out the door and towards his black explorer. Harry jogged over to my door and opened it for me, as a perfect gentleman would. After I hopped in the front seat of the car, and closed the door, Harry ran around to the trunk of the car and tossed my bags in along with the rest of his stuff. He then got into the car and began driving.
"Hey Harry, where exactly are we going?" Harry let out a chuckle before answering me.

"The boys told me about this place. It's basically in the middle of a forest, there's said to be a lot of bear sightings this time of year..." I swallowed a gulp of air and my body began persperating and trembling.

"Oh..." Harry sighed,

"I'm just kidding, I wouldn't take you to a bear infested Forrest and kept you there for a week... Do you honestly think I'd do that to you?" I let out a sigh and look towards Harry who looked very upset.

"N-no Harry. You just- you said it so seriously and I- I just thought that- I just-"  we arrived at a stop sign and Harry stopped, as he should; he looked towards me with his green oculus'.

"I'm sorry, I thought you would've know it was a joke... I didn't mean to upset you..."

"Harry, don't apologez... It's my fault... I should've know you wouldn't do that... So... Where are we going?"

"Well... I knew you wouldn't want to stay outside at night, so I got us a log cabin in the woods, by a lake." I smiled and looked towards Harry, even though he has to focus on the road.

"Harry, you bought us a log cabin?" He smiled brightly, still not making eye contact.

"Yeah. I thought it'd be nice if we had a place we could just go to, you know just to get away from things." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a key.

"Here's your key. You can come whenever. What's mine is yours."
He tossed the key towards me and it landed in my palms.

"Wow... Thanks Harry. You're so sweet." I noticed a shade of light pink brush over his checks.

"Don't worry about it. I know how hard things can be for you... And if you ever need a break from it all, or you just need to escape for a while you can come out here and relax by the lake." Harry pulled into the drive way of our new cabin and we both hopped out of the car, closing the doors behind us. I stood in front of the car, studying the beautiful cabin that laid before me, Harry came to my side with bags at his sides.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?"

"Yeah..." Was all I was able to say.

"And it's only two minutes away from home. Five minutes by foot." I can't believe him, he's so generous, and he just acts like it's no big deal. I watched as his tall, British figure walked up to the door and unlocked it. He held the door open and held out a gesturing arm.
"Ladies first." I laughed as I walked into the cabin, the room was perfectly lit by the sun that shined through the windows.

"Wow Harry... It's furnished too... Wooden floors... Two floors... Must've cost a fortune." Harry set down our bags next to the sofa and grabbed my hand.

"Anything for you." I smiled as Harry leaned in and kissed me, the perfect, soft way he always does.
"I actually stopped by here before I picked you up and dropped something off..." Harry bent down on his knees and began speaking.
"Bella, come here." I looked down at Harry, my eyes filled with wonder. The sound of tiny pitty-patters of foot steps filled my ears and a tiny solid white pomeranian came running down the hallway towards Harry and I. Harry stood up with the dog that goes by Bella in his hands.
"This is Bella. She's ours now, I picked her out this morning. Isn't she adorable?"

"Oh Harry, she's perfect, extremely fluffy, she's so adorable." He handed me Bella and I pet her freshly cleaned fur softly.
"Harry, why are you doing all of this?"

"Because Scarlett, I'm leaving for tour in a week and I won't see you for a month... I don't want you to feel like I stopped caring. I don't want you to go though that again... I'm gonna miss you when I'm gone... I want you to remeber that I love you, and I never want you to be alone, or somewhere you don't want to be." I set Bella down on the floor and tightly wrapped my arms around Harry, he did the same.

"Harry, I love you, but you don't have to do all of this."

"I want to... Don't worry about it... Lets go swim in the lake for a bit, then we can come back for diner; then maybe we can rost some marsh mellows by the lake for a while." I smiled,

"Alright Harry, let me get changed though."

"Oh don't be a bum! Lets just go, who needs swimsuits?! Not us!" Harry grabbed my hand and started walking out the door.

"Harry, our clothes will get soggy." Harry laughed,

"Oh come on Scarlett!" I sighed walking along Harry's side.

"What about Bella?"

"Oh yeah, I think she can swim... Lets try it... Why not? Bella come!" Bella came running after me and Harry.
"Don't let her catch us!" Harry shouted as we began running towards the lake, were inches from the lake and we both extend our legs, jumping into the warm lake water. Me and Harry both rose from underneath the lake water to see that Bella can swim, her perky face swam towards us.

"Aw, she can swim." Harry laughed as he tried to swim away from Bella, even though Bella was a much faster swimmer then Harry.

"Alright you got me." Harry said as he gave up trying to swim away from Bella. The three of us swam around for another thirty minutes before Bella started to ware out.

"Let's go eat, Harry."

"Alrighty babe." Me and Harry walked out of the lake and our perky dog followed us. We walked into our cabin and left a trail of water puddles from the door to the kitchen.
"Alright love, what are you hungry for?" I smiled,

"What ever you want. I'm gonna go get changed."

"Okay, our room is at the top of the stairs to the right." I nodded and carried some of the bags upstairs with me. I opened the door to the right and plopped the bags onto the floor. I shuffled through my clothe bag and pulled out a pair of new clothes and put them on. I found a bathroom and used a towel to mostly dry my hair before walking downstairs again. I walked around the corner towards the diner table which was set for a diner of two. I walked into the kitchen and Harry was piling noddles on two plates.

"Yum, spaghetti, my favorite." I smiled and Harry turned around to look at me with a plate in his hand.

"Is this enough?" I nodded and Harry added sauce to the plate of noodles; he handed me the plate and made a plate for himself. We carried our plates out to the table and set them down on the table, in front of out seats witch were across from each others.
"Oh wait..." Harry walked back into the kitchen and I followed him. He picked up Bella's bowl and added noddles and sauce. I laughed, he carried her bowl out to the dining room and he set the bowl down at the head of the table; he set Bella on the seat and she stood up on her back feet, rested her front feet on the table on the sides of her bowl and started munching away at her bowl of spaghetti which Harry made perfectly. After me and Harry put out dishes in the dishwasher he asked another question.
"Do you want to roast some marsh mellows?"

"Not tonight... I'm a little tired... Maybe we should just watch a movie then go to bed?"

"Sure, babe." Me and Harry walked over to the living room and put in a DVD, he choose safe haven. We sat on the couch and watched the movie till it ended at about 11:00pm. There was a few times when I cried, even a few moments when Harry cried. There was a couple of times where Harry and I kissed, but throughout the whole time, out precious, Italian Pomeranian sat squashed between us.
