20. Meant to Be

*2 weeks later

(No one's POV)

2 weeks ago Taylor and Michael admitted that they loved each other.

Right now they seem really happy with each other, laughing at each others jokes and holding hands in public.

But of course, those happy moments always come to an end.

Taylor is still having those marriage dreams between her and Michael, but she hasn't told him yet. And it's starting to bother her.

Michael, on the other hand, is trying to find a way to get rid of this marriage law, but it seems he's having trouble with that because of his stubborn dad not letting it happen. Not agreeing to it.

He doesn't really want to tell Taylor yet because she was so happy when he promised her he would get rid of this law and gave her a promise ring to keep it.

But he can't quit now. He needs to keep trying to get rid of it. And besides, he's doing this so he can be with the girl he loves.

I'm still having those dreams! It's been 3 weeks!!

I don't know why I keep having the same dream every single night.

And the worst part, I haven't even told Michael about it.

(Michael's POV)

Taylor has been acting weird lately.

Not distant, but awkward, playing with her left hand ring finger a lot like she's checking to see if theres supposed to be a ring there.

At first I thought that it was nothing, but that was 2 weeks ago. She's still acting weird.

So, I finally got the courage to ask her whats going on.

I find her in the living room and I sit next to her.

"We need to talk." I say kinda stern but not too stern. She turns off the TV and turns to face me.

"Ok.. What do you need to talk about?" She asks, still looking at me while playing with her left hand. I straighten up.

"Are you ok? You've been acting weird lately." That did not come out the way I wanted it to be.

I can tell that she took that the wrong way.

"What do you mean?! Im not acting weird! Im being myself! Why do you think i've been acting weird lately?!" She asks, getting mad.

"Calm down babe. I didn't mean it like that.. I meant like you're always quiet and you're always rubbing your left hand. Im just concerned." I reassure putting my hands on her shoulders.

She smiles, what I know, is a fake smile.

"Its nothing.. Really!" She looks down.

Right then I knew she was lying. But I let it go. If she wanted to tell me, she would of told me already.

"Ok whatever you say." I say. Then, I see a tear slip down her cheek.

"What? What is it?" I ask, putting my arms around her shoulders.

"Its nothing. I don't want to talk about it." She speaks up after wiping her tears away.

"What do you not want to talk about? What is it that you are hiding?" I ask eagerly.

I know I said I would wait for her to tell me, but whatever it is, it's making her cry and I don't want to see her sad.

"What is it? Come on Taylor you can tell me, I wont be mad at you." I reassure, squeezing her shoulders a little. She looks at me with sad eyes that were filled with un-fallen tears.

"Ok. For the past 2 or 3 weeks i've been having the same dream every night about me and you getting married." She explains. I can tell theres more to say.

"And... The worst of all, during the wedding in one of my dreams, spiders were crawling up my dress, you know I hate spiders, and in another dream during the wedding, blood was poring out of my scars and bruises. Look, I didn't want to tell you about these dreams because I didn't want you to think differently of weirdly about our relationship." Now she's full on crying.

I turn her to face me and I wipe a couple of stray tears away. "Listen, i'm not thinking weirdly about us, thats the last think i'm thinking about. But what i'm worried about is, why are you having these dreams." I explain, keeping my hands on her shoulders.

"I don't know! It's like my brain is sending me a message." She says and leans her head on my shoulder.

"What kind of message do you think it's sending?" I ask.

"Um.. That we're meant to be together, that we're meant to get married." She says.

We don't say anything more, until she kisses me.

"Do you think that we're meant to be together?" I ask.

"Yeah.  But I wouldn't say that about the marriage thing yet." She smirks.

"Why?" I ask. She laughs.

"Because I don't know yet. I just not ready to get married yet." She says shrugging her shoulders.

"Haha yeah. Good answer. Honestly I think Im too young to get married yet to." I agree.

"Do you we're meant to be together?" She asks me, looking at me.

"Um. Yeah. And you know why?" I respond.

"Why?" She laughs. "Because I love you." I say and kiss her again.

Never in a million years would I think that I would be falling in love with anyone. But I guess that I was wrong.
