6. The Elite town

“Sit down please.” He said pointing at a stool near the rear of the booth. “Are you ready?” He continued and suddenly I am taken back to the elite town with my father asking me the same question before we entered the room.

“I am deeply sorry but when your mother was on duty, she was kidnapped, we are not sure who by but we believe that they are highly advanced group, she didn’t have a chance to get away. It is most likely she was tortured and well…”

“Well what?” Robin screamed at him.

“We are led to believe she would have been murdered afterwards. I am deeply sorry for your loss.”

Suddenly my world crashed down and I felt numb, I am brought out of the lifeless daze seconds later by Robin, she was whimpering loudly, her shoulders shaking and the only reason she wasn’t collapsed was my father holding onto her, propping her up as the tears rolled down his cheeks silently.

“I’ll give you a minute.” Suddenly anger fills me, replacing the grief I felt.

“This is your fault!” I screeched through the tears that were pouring at the man. My father let go of my sister to restrain me from chasing the man out of the room, he hushed me and told me it wasn’t. I knew it wasn’t but I needed someone to blame, to be frustrated at, and to punish

“It’s your fault!” I shouted again louder, so that he could still hear. My father scooped me up and cradled me in his arms cooing me until I only whispered

“But it’s his fault.” While, instead of fighting me, he whispered ‘I know, I know.’
