Assassin's Creed Ancient Ones

A rebirth of the Past from the Ashes of the Future.

7. Native Americans in Ancient Egypt

I woke up a few hours later and quickly sat up in bed. As I rose, a hand grabbed my shoulder. "Easy." Desmond said. I looked over at him and sighed before laying back in bed. "That must have been one hell of a vision to make you faint like that." Desmond said. "I saw Asgili, why would there be a Native American in Ancient Egypt?" I asked. Desmond shrugged. "Why would my Italian ancestor Ezio go to mentor the Arab assassins in Constantinople?" He asked. I shrugged. "Why would two Americans, an Englishman, and an Egyptian woman all work together and become friends?" Desmond asked. I shrugged again. Desmond smiled. "Because, you can find friends and family in the strangest places." He said. I smiled and he leaned in and kissed me. I laid my hand on his cheek as he slipped his tongue in my mouth. After a minute, Desmond pulled away. "Ready to get back to work?" He asked. "Now I am." I said with a smile. I stood and he walked me back to the Animus. I sat down in the Animus and got ready to go back in. "Hey, not right now." Desmond said. I looked up at him. "Eat something first, you need to keep your strength up." He said. I smiled and stood up. I walked over to the left overs of the fast food from yesterday. Then I picked up some cold fries and a burger. I walked over to the microwave and stuck the food in. Then I walked over and sat down in Desmond's lap while the food cooked. Desmond grinned and wrapped his arms around my waist. I laughed while he tried to type on his computer like that. He chuckled and kissed my shoulder. Suddenly the microwave went off and I stood. As I walked away, Desmond lightly smacked my butt. I jumped and looked back at him. He laughed while I playfully scolded him. That's when I noticed, Shaun and Rebecca were gone. "Hey, where's Rebecca and Shaun?" I asked as I got my food. "They went out for some supplies." Desmond said. I nodded while I chewed a fry. "So that means we're alone, together." Desmond said, smirking and raising an eyebrow. I swallowed the fry when I realized what he was suggesting. "Um, is there a shower anywhere, I could use one." I said. Desmond's smirk quickly faded. "Yeah, it's around back." He said before turning back to his computer. I frowned as I realized I had crushed his fantasy. I walked up behind him and threw my arms around his shoulders. "Sorry babe, not tonight." I said sarcastically before I kissed his cheek. He patted my arm and grinned. "Night's not over yet." Desmond said, smirking again. I laughed and playfully smacked the back of his head. I started to walk away before Desmond caught my arm and pulled me into his lap. "The vardens are gone, now I treat you the vay I vant to." Desmond said in a fake Count Dracula voice while giving an evil grin. I laughed and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around me and began probing the inside of my mouth with his tongue. I pulled him in closer as I did the same. One of Desmond's hands ran down my abdomen and under the lip of my shirt. I shuddered as he slowly ran his fingers up the skin of my stomach and just under the edge of my bra. God, he was so close but yet so far, he knew his boundaries, which was good, but terrible to live with. Suddenly we heard the truck pull up in the drive way, ruining the moment. I stood and Desmond went back to his computer. I quickly walked over to my food and began to eat it as casually as I could as Rebecca and Shaun came in the door. "Hey guys." Rebecca called as she caught sight if us. I waved and Desmond shot his hand up in the air. Shaun walked past me with a stack of books. I read one of the titles as he walked past me. It read: Cherokee Culture and History. "Hey Shaun, busy night planned?" I asked. "Ha ha, I forgot how to laugh." He said with a scowl as he set down his stack of books. I shrugged and walked over to Rebecca. "Ready to go back?" She asked as I sat down in the Animus. I nodded and listened to the Animus power up. I soon passed into unconsciousness. "Asgili, why are you in Egypt?" I asked as we walked together. "I came here looking for a Piece of Eden." He said. "You know of the Pieces of Eden?" I asked in surprise. He nodded and held up a carving of a small sphere. "It is called The Eye of Eden, it is said to show the future." He said. "We are searching for The Ankh of Eden, it is said to raise the dead." I said. "Interesting, I wonder how many Pieces of Eden exist." Asgili said. "I would not know, I just learned of them myself a week ago." I said. Asgili nodded and scratched his head. "The first civilization had so much power, but why would they waste it to create the Pieces?" He asked. I shook my head. "Your guess is no better than mine." I said. He chuckled and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "I have a feeling I will have fun working with you." He said. We laughed as we turned into the city and disappeared into the crowd.
