Just Give Me A Reason

"Should I or shouldn't I?" Just one of the many questions Rachel has on her mind. New school means new friends, new teachers and as always new enemies. One just so happens to be Louis Tomlinson. He's the most attractive, smart and according to all of his friends "gets all the girls" guy you would ever meet. But she takes an instant dislike to him. Nothing seems right about him but yet there's a nice side to him that hardly ever comes out. Will she bring out that side to him? Read on...

6. Dreaming With A Broken Heart

In the morning I woke up at 7:01 about an hour before most students. I dragged my tired body out of bed and towards the closet where I barely managed to pull on a T-shirt and a pair of jeans because I was so tired. My phone started buzzing and I went to pick it up.

"Hello?" I said without checking caller ID.

"Hello Rachel." I heard an obnoxious voice say on the other end of the line.

"Louis? How the bloody hell did you get my number?" I heard him chuckle,

"We'll there's this amazing thing called the student directory." I could practically hear his smirk through the phone.

"What do you want Tomlinson?" I ask.

"We have a project due for Johnson's class remember?" He asks with a sassy tone. "We need to work on it sometime before it's due and I'm not doing it by myself."

"Whatever. When can we work on it? Johnson won't let us work on it in class."

"Well I was thinking that maybe this weekend you could come over to mine and Harry's room to work on it."

"Fine whatever. See ya then." I say grudgingly and I hang up the phone.

Today was Friday so I had officially survived my first week at this school. So far I had gotten off without a hitch but I didn't want to jinx it. With my luck I would. I slipped on a pair of shoes and a hoodie and stepped through the door. I wanted to take a walk around the campus before breakfast. I shouldered my book bag as I pushed open the door to the courtyard.

I walked down the concrete path keeping my head down to block out the cold wind that rushed by. My footsteps echoed like gunshots through the practically empty courtyard. I was soon absorbed in my thoughts.

After a while I stumbled into something.

"Watch where you're going!" A make voice yells at me.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hit you!" I look up to see a very angry Louis.

"You owe me." He said and then walked past me calling someone's name but I didn't pay attention because I was too busy worrying about what I "owed" him. I heard a bell ring and I realized that I had to head to first period.

I didn't pay much attention in math. Lizzie tried to talk to me but I just ignored everything. I guess there goes my B average. I looked out the window where two birds were chasing each other around trying to get a french fry.  This went on until the bell rang signaling the end of the period.

"Are you okay?" Lizzie asked me. I had no idea why I wouldn't be so I nodded my head. "Are you home sick?" I guess I kind of was.

"Yeah I am." I told her.

"It happens to the best of us." she told me slinging her arm over my shoulder and walking towards the next class where I had to sit next to the devil himself, Louis Tomlinson.
